i managed to call in a free orbital bombardment on a massive assault of bugs once. all i had to do was leave the combat area. it did have a 10 sec call in time though. but it worked. my mates survived because i drew all the bugs away from them and then me and the bugs got bombed into oblivion.

On helldive if yo know you’re gonna die anyways this strat is actually pretty good even on solo. The bombardment isn’t very accurate and with 50% chance to live you can make it pretty far have even popped bug nests with this.

My Outplayed app crashed, so I didn't get it recorded, but I was playing a match with two friends where we had a Hulk and an army of bots bearing down on the extraction point. Our designated sample carrier died, my other friend called in an orbital barrage, and I ran out into it. He was like, "where are you going!?" To which I replied, "I gotta save the samples!" As I ran out into bots and 380mm explosions on all sides. It was like something out of a war movie! We somehow managed to extract with the samples!

My favorite today and I wish I had gotten recorded, was a bot that stopped firing at us, and then slowly just walked with us. We could control where he went and stuff, He didnt shoot us, call a drop nothing just a little friend. We put about 500 rounds into it and it couldnt be killed so we just took it with us to watch the other bots die.

The defend missions, I always take a shield generator and run outside the mission area drop it and run outside the mission area to trigger the orbital barrage. The bugs are attracted to the shield and want to destroy it so they gather around and then they get bombed. Its a cheese method but it works well on helldive difficulty.

Thought about that. We push the bugs and bots back then all of a sudden illuminate are attacking either close or attempt an attack against Super Earth. Alternatively they come trying to make an alliance and that goes to shit leading to an attack

I doubt it. I don't think they're ever going to let us 'defeat' the terminids (at least not for a long time) - it would remove half (or a third) of the gameplay variety and they prioritize fun first. More likely that we'll push them back a bit toward the rim and be 'winning the war', then the Illuminate show up, and then the Terminids start gaining territory back as we're split in a 3 way war. Plus, based on the lore, we 'need' the Terminids, so even if they are controlled, there will be another outbreak inevitably - we won't exterminate them fully.
