6:59 for those who are curious, since its a adjustable zoom scope (but likely is still effective from a much further distance (ie. Max effective range)), 50/100/200 meters, its likely zero'd at 200, and if im eyeballing that distance as less than 200m, you would adjust your aim below your target to account for that. at further than zero distances, you'd need to account for bullet drop. the left or right of the target, meh, thats mechanics, so for a right handed shooter, which all helldivers are, that is anticipation/bracing for a shot, as opposed to a slow steady squeeze to the rear. if our training is to be taken at face value, we dont really go through a real school of marksmanship, so its easy to explain any particular shots sway as anticipation, jerking, adrenaline, uncontrolled breathing, etc. if its zero'd for 100 meters, it could be bullet drop. since we cant really assume the same gravitational and atmospheric conditions as earth, the bullet drop could make sense, but in this clips case, its seems a bit exaggerated for this distance if the other factors previously mentioned are the same. most weapons will be projectile based, meaning they are affected by drop; considering projectile mass, velocity, weather, gravity, among others, youll have to get a feel for their effective ranges. I dont know if the laser's or railgun are hitscan (goes where you put it), given they are (presumably) light and electromagnetically charged, respectively, but they dont tend to be affected by the above as much. this is why you can hit a spore spewer from a very far distance with a few guns as opposed to others. at some point though, every weapons projectile loses enough of its kinetic energy to be ineffective.

(joel is the game master but there are other lesser game masters? or match masters that can tweak the experience of each match going on. they originally had a dedicated team ready to tweak every match running since they originally only anticipated to have as much as 10,000 concurrent players, but since they now have 411,000 - 450,000 concurrent players to deal with now, they dont have enough devs to cover every match, so this may only happen on occasion.

Friendly reminder, the red strategems do not track. They will land on the original location, so the poor dude didn't have to run in to the suicide.

I was also thinking of them adding a “slot” to all the mechs for certain backpacks to be attached to them. Like imagine if you have a shield barrier backpack, and when you approach the mech for the prompt to enter it gives you two options: one to just enter the mech and one to place the shield pack onto the mech having it grow and fully surround the mech before the diver enters the mech. The pros are obviously the benefits the backpacks would provide to the mechs but the cons would easily be seen as “do I wanna take a longer time entering my mech? Or do I even want to have the backpack leave my person in case I want to actually leave the mech??”

the game had a boom in its first week and has been dropping ever since, even PUBG has more players overall and more concurrent players and its everything but a dead game. if helldivers 2 is so good then it wouldnt already be dying less then a month after release
