I absolutely love it when a 12 minute video has a 3 minute intro with sponsors and giveaways, then recaps the previous 2 videos for no reason and finally gets to the single new Discord or Reddit post at around the 7 minute mark.
I had to block Cloud Plays. He's by far the worst clickbait Helldivers 2 channel I've seen. I saw Cloud Plays make 3 videos in 1 day, they all had sponsors and were over 10 minutes of fluff from reddit. I think people are starting to realize this though because his views have been a lot lower recently.
@@OhDough Channels like that are why I appreciate yours so much. I watch a 10 minutes waste of time over there that gives me no actual information. Then I come here and watch you get molly whopped by Wilbur for 10 minutes to show armor values. Then see a 45 minute video of you waffling around with a "troll" loadout and go "F it, I don't have anywhere important to be in an hour."
Im so glad someone else thought the same thing about cloud plays, started watching some of his stuff early into helldivers and stopped shortly after because he looooves to waste your time with reddit threads and clickbait.
When Cloud was so opinated about people not doing a major orders and fighting/doing what they wanted I tuned out. Basically made an "Us vs Them" argument. He walked back the opinion but after that I knew his future vids would be biased asf and spreading division in the fan base
I hate how many helldivers 2 channels use ai generated thumbnails to the point where it is incredibly obvious they put 0 effort into it. Like seriously rainbow "helldivers" in thumbnails is just ridiculous, just get a damn photo from the game. Props to you dough for putting effort into your videos.
he's a good player so him lying about the railgun is kinda wack I M O. that kinda stuff makes people think railgun is fine and guess what... now we don't get meaningful buffs or change.
@@OhDough nothing about that video is a lie. He runs it in safe mode (which you'd know if you actually watched the video to determine if it's clickbait), and I would bet money that a substantial majority of players do so as well because it's easy/lazy/comfortable. Not everybody cares if it's optimal and it's fine for other people to value comfort and ease of use. The AP changes made it more viable in safe mode which is a boon to a huge amount of players, but you have tunnel vision as to whether it's better for YOU. And I really don't know why you're so hung up on how bad it is against the heaviest units. There are plenty of supports that don't take down heavies well.. because they fill different roles. I've watched plenty of your content and I know I don't have to explain to you that no support weapon is a swiss army knife. There's nothing wrong with bringing a primary for chaff, railgun for devastators/striders/hulks, and eagles/orbitals for heavies.
Maybe a smidgen of clickbait, but I genuinely think it's unavoidable on RU-vid. He's easily got some of the most accurate information. He was very against the idea of the PS5 to PC damage glitch that was 1 shotting BTs, but I'll give him a pass.

Nothing better than a Helldivers content creator who spams vids every 4 hours but they barely play the game and are level 26 or something. DoughBoy over here at level upper 80's, that's trustworthy experience.
So basically this list has two categories, extreme clickbait or minimal, one or two here and there. There was really no inbetween, Takibo literally says in the videos that he goes to pouncer planets for killstreaks and shoots at patrols because he likes getting the killcount up. No more clickbait than yourself or thickfilla. Arguably the content of the channels makes takibos clickbait the least impactful and the commentary content channels more impacted by bait. Little bit of an L take brother but I respect the content grind regardless. I do love your videos that come out about testing weapons on enemies and look forward to more gameplay related content.

Takibo is the only RU-vidr that didn’t drop video after video sucking the tit of the P.S. debacle, including you feeding off the algorithm, he also speaks well of you and recommend your channel, only reason I came here.
the ps debacle only got resolved because of everyone making a ruckus. I think highly of takibo as a player and creator which is why clickbait is even less ideal. it's far from the end of the world but I'm fairly certain the devs watch solo diver content and if they see that and say "oh hey, railgun is good I guess" we don't get more improvements to railgun or other weapons.
One thing that I like about your videos and a few other creators is that you get right into the content immediately. Some RU-vidrs spend half of the video talking about what the other half of the video will ffs
@@OhDough I mean the rail gun and arc shotgun thumbnails/titles are the only ones that really stand out from the rest to me plus I don’t think he’s above some of the others simply based on those.

I come to OhDough after a patch to actually find out if guns suck or not. He's always bang on. So many people pump up shitty weapons that are good in this one specific situation.

The plasma punisher with the new projectile speed is a lot nicer to use, still lacking damage imo, but still kinda fun to mix things up. Maybe try it out again.

I like to listen to stylosa and cloudplays as news channels that filter through Reddit and community stuff so that I don’t have to. I like to watch ohdough, takibo, and crazymrpip for skilled gameplay, and ohdough also for the humor. And I like thiccfila for general stuff and tips. I agree with this list except switch yourself with Takibo. You clickbait waaay more than him. You clickbaited me like 3 times with the railgun alone Lmao. The railgun got a huge buff against the bugs. It two shots charger legs again.
As soon as I saw the title I knew CloudPlays and LoadedCrysis HAD to be on top. I was done with Crysis when they made a video about HUGE NERFS IN UPCOMING PATCH or whatever and it was literally just a dev mentioning that they were "looking at fire damage". They will just make up crap to pad out the videos of them reading reddit posts. This is one of the first games I have ever really followed on youtube and it's been wild seeing the insane amount of clickbait. My absolute favorite channel is Eravin, because we have the same playstyle and his stuff is awesome. This one is my second fave because of the videos testing stratagems against every enemy and structure type. There are a few others that have amazing one off videos that I wish would make more stuff. Like the channel cashcrop_ did a video about how the orbital barrages are NOT RANDOM and that was the coolest, nerdiest video and I LOVED IT. There was a whole sequence with a "Geographic Information Systems" overlay where dude was just showing off this elaborate experimental design. I hate how hard it is to find actually good content on this game because of how many people are just trying to get RU-vid famous with clickbait.
Shots fired! I watch you and Cloud. Definitely a bit clicky with cloud but I like to keep up with news, maybe a bit too much. You two are my favs. The worst thing I hate seeing with some creators is the constant AI thumbnails like come on. Be creative guys. That and some people definitely stretch out vids for the 8-10 min for monetizing when it clearly doesn’t have enough content to warrant it.
I also muted Stylosa and CloudPlays. News is supposed to be real legitimate updates and information. Not "the CEO said this on reddit and here's all the different things it could mean". It's so bad. I actually don't like watching HD2 "news" videos anymore because of how awful this clickbait plague has become.

I know this has nothing to do with the video but I want to see an actual gold M+KB player use a controller. Thats an actual series.
The thing with Reaper is his "best" is like "aladeen" it is up to you to determine if it means good or bad XD he is super sarcastic about it so it becomes evident fast what he really thinks of a thing.

I think I can get past the click baiting titles but for me, it’s the vocab a RU-vidr uses makes or breaks my choice to stay subscribed. If everything is “HUUUUGE” or “THE BEST” then nothing is and you’ve just wasted my time reading/listening to that empty sentence. Damn, OhDough going on some of these guys. I respect it.
I like you the most out of all the Helldivers creators because you seem like a normal dude. I think if i got a beer with any of the other options I would end up calling them names by the end of the evening.
I very quickly started searching some of their descriptions for the posts etc that they would read on screen, so I give them that for linking what they share. That being said, most of it is tripe. Then steam sells the game in countries they weren't supposed to, so it's now delisted in 177 countries. Meanwhile Sony had to fix the fuck ups of 2 other companies, and everyone was like "fuck Sony, greedy corporation, blah blah blah" I can't help but laugh man, people are sheep 🐑🐏
There was one video I saw from one of the S tier guys (can't remember who) that was click baiting potential Power armor coming to HD2. All it was, was the CEO tweeted he liked power armor.... Can't wait for the next video when pizza is confirmed for HD2 because the CEO likes pizza.
Idk who did it but the "let me solo her" video for hd2 drove me absolutely insane of 9 minutes to getting to the topic and it's just some guy that presses quick play

Thank you ohdough for being who you are. Clickbait is a proven marketing tactic to increase clicks but it waste your audience’s time. NotOtzdarva from DBD makes 8 tier list videos but from the beginning shows you his full list. No burying the lead just justifications over 8 hours.
You respect us and I respect you. Keep testing and proving. I hope you make it big. If you ever played apex legends, 90% of the content was leaks and news. It’s a hard game to make content for if you’re unskilled. And there’s honestly not much to say either. The point is most leakers were morally questionable people and they started faking leaks as time went on.
I put about 5,000 hours into apex. I mostly posted on tiktok and a second channel but now I quit. the leaks for that game are still insane. that's all it has going on is just the promise of something wacky from a leak that isn't slated to launch for a year
