Dont read the rest of the comment if you care about spoilers. We've datamined the game, and have found that once we arrive in (or get near to taking) cyberstan, the TCS will fail. So yeah. We probably are. Until the illuminates come. Theyre confirmed too, their models are near finished.
Im not entirely sure about it being rigged, since joel gave us an entire planet for free. Oshaune was like 99% liberated, and just before we captured it, joel launched an attack on fori prime. But, since we captured Oshaune just as it started, Fori Prime was automatically liberated too, giving us one extra point. If that didnt happen, we wouldve failed the MO.
He also lowered the barrier for success of the last 3 planets we defended. The first round of defenses had 450k - 500k HP, but the last 3 only had 200k HP
@@jjhoops023 Maybe, but it seems reasonable to assume that after the massive invasion automaton forces would be spread thin, leading to less hp on the newly invaded planets. Less of a GM intervention, and more of a game balancing thing.
@@HalfCycle it's actually not programmed that way, Joel just agrees that it SHOULD work that way and awarded us the planet manually. I imagine it will be patched to do it automatically in the future
Not necessarily this happens all the time in Dungeons & Dragons game if you have a good group of players what a good MO does is change the story to accommodate any changes that the players do and the devs are no different I think they have backup plans for when stuff doesn't go their way I don't think we've derailed anything just changed the story a little bit
@@sougrim4290I’m with you on that one. While we did loose the menkent line, we still took back vernen wells, our line FOB, so we could still mount an effective counter attack. So all in all, I consider this MO, a phyric victory.
@@blackgem12 exactly in a game that is ever changing we have just alter the story and it is safe to assume that the devs come up with what if scenarios for both sides if we win or lose so
I asked for "Helldivers II" for my birthday this June, despite never liking or playing shooter games in my life. I saw the idea of teamwork and not killing your fellow man. I saw the positive and enjoyable experiences between strangers on the same team. I saw the passion and excitement of the player base and their love for both the game and working together. I saw the hugs and cheering. I never thought a multi-player SHOOTER could embody the greatest strength of MP: that childlike bonding when you and your father sit down with controllers and play together. I never thought that there was enough humanity in multiplayer shooter games to generate an universally positive experience, where people laugh and hug instead of curse and hate. Shooters always invoked X-Box obscenities I knew from others, having only played Nintendo as a little boy. I never play MP on any game that is not on LOCAL consoles, physically there, and yet, this game stood out. I had to have that experience again. I look forward to reinforcing you this June, FOR SUPER EARTH!
It only took 3 bloody months for them to realize that 6 hulks, 3 tanks, and 50 devastators are too much to handle at once while also trying to escort civies.
I logged on for the first time in weeks last night. Been out due to life being what it is. Holy MOLY am I rusty, and the bugs have gotten way more difficult to boot! I can tell that whatever’s gone down in my absence has really caused the difficulty to be cranked up across the board.
They’re absolutely right, it’s the citizen evac mission that needs to be fixed not our weaponry. How could I have been so stupid as to think it was our guns and not the citizens evacuating into buildings…
I've been slammed by school this week and I logged on last night to a very nice surprise to a major order being completed. I couldn't help but smile at the fact that we exceeded the devs' expectations once again
If the devs really want to rig it, they'll send us into an area littered with strategem jammers and spawn like 20 bile titans/factory striders. They may have wanted us too lose, but they still made it possible to win
The citizens missions are hard only cause there is much going on, like imagine doing it on level 8, while on a planet with fire tornadoes, than add the time on top of that. You cant revive any citizens or heal them they just die.
I think the one that we have now might be rigged because we have to capture one of two planets and well get a strategem based on what planet we capture but befote that we have to liberate one other planet so we get acces to the 2 planets
Bad enough with our recent MO that we had to get two new stratgems by taking two specific worlds. Now it was fully doable take both planets, IF the player base coordinated that is. But 75000 players were wasting time on Omicron which wasnt a Mission objective, then after we took penta and unlocked the Air burst rockets which I guarantee no one will use because they are just broken and team killers. The player base focused on thr wrong planet!!! Now i dont blame a majority for not wanting to go to Menkent, fucking fire tornadoes man , But it was fucking half done, instead 30000 players focused on Chort bay that they had to start from stratch. At that point the MO was lost, and the AT mines would have been SUPER usefull against every armored unit there is, in comparison the AB rockets are better at killing players than enemies. Really need find a way into corralling the player base into following Orders. If the Illuminate join thr fray, we're FUBAR!!
*defeats 1M bugs* New task: Capture 10 planets in 5 days Players: “The difficulty scale is vertical” *captures all 10* Players: “good thing i brought a ladder”
We never would have won that MO if the Devs didnt give us several planets for free because they honored our Tactical decisions of cutting off several planets from their supply routes. We where at like 6 planets when the clock was at 24h
Im not gonna lie, this game chased me off bad with their patches. Ive got social anxiety bad and anyone i added with a friend code cant be removed from my friends list, and can't be blocked. This has been an issue since release in every patch and every patch is listed in the "known issues remaining" section. I dont wanna feel like i will be harassed at any moment and theres literally nothing i can do about it aside from disable multiplayer entirely which... I mean if youre playing helldivers solo why even bother? Its kinda the whole point of the game.
Devs got mad we pushed them off the map so they thought it was cool to just take 4 sector's away and give it to the bots. Well kick them out again. It's all practice for the illuminate when they show up
We aren't making any ground on the bug side. It's all scripted, they only let you win enough to keep playing we have been in the same 2 sectors since the game started.
Imagine making possibly the most hardest task for players to complete for the sole purpose of players needing to lose, only for them to still win at the last moment
The reason we succeeded defending 10 planets is because some vocalized the idea of cutting off supply lines for multiple planets needing defended as that would be easier than defending them outright and the devs came out and said they would honor that as defending the planets
@@leofoster6231 Yeah there are invisible supply chains That's why the enemy can't randomly attack a planet that don't have a direct line to most of the time
I can’t believe we actually did it. That last bot planet was hell. So many more more bots then normal. Drop after drop. They did not want to lose that planet
My last mission on that mo, it was a slog through and through. Wasn't like we were aggroing different patrols either, they just kept coming. It was a wall of steel between us and the entire map, through helldiver might and the power of democracy we prevailed.
I’m a little confused, I’ve heard the devs gave us the win due to how fast we got the last planets. I may be wrong but I heard a few people talking about it.
That was a fan made transmission. The only official transmission we’ve gotten from the automatons was the binary code that said “AH” (some claim it means “work together” in Chinese)
Well to be fair we all know super earth just wouldn’t stop attacking the automotons if cyberstan was taken or not. If I was part of a rebel group I would make sure the oppressors wouldn’t be able to attack me or my group again.
Bro in evacuation missions the enemy actively goes after unarmed citizens when you're right infront of them shooting. They very clearly weren't good. The bugs are the only ones I could support because I want those lil orange ones as a pet
That was a fanfic. The creator of those transmissions is really adamant on portraying automatons as thinking individuals, to the point of it getting ridiculous. Yeah, SE is the aggressor, but they aren't "the bad guy". It's naive to assume that both terminids and cyborgs would not show aggression towards a docile adversary.
No the real problem is that people dont focus on planets, thousands of helldivers are doing useless stuffs on planets they will never take because of the continuous counter-attack on planets... If there is less than 20000 people on a planet its useless to go on it.
I’m praying for players that join this game a few months from now and have to learn to fight twice as many enemies as we had to. I’ll be training every day to be ready to pass down my skills.

@@broman3000 I'm not a player yet. So, unlikely atm. I am skeptical this trick would work, but I am guessing you have done it before, so... Have you done it before? Do you ever upload?
I was wandering why the bots are that tough compared to those pesky bugs. I only played Helldivers 1 until a few days ago. And i followed the first war a bit in H2. Now seeing this happening is pretty fun.
@@somerandom4861 the Bots cant aim and are blind idiots that can suck my 500kg democracy. Hunters and Stalkers are the tip of Evolution stretching my A Hole
The devs literally gave us the win by halting the bot decay rate and giving us a freebie with Fori Prime being attacked right at the moment we successfully defended Oshaune. It was literally a hollow victory in every single way.
The only reason the bots keeps pushing deeper in the other sectors is the majority count of players rather kill bugs instead knocking back the machines. I remember counting 154,000 killing bugs and 81,000 were barely pushing back bots.
I literally cannot understand people that say that terminids are harder? I play on 9 exclusively, i find bugs to be SO MUCH easier😢 hearing enemy drop ships, 6 gunships and seeing 3 factory striders is like hell😂 Bile titans? Bro pls
We are heavily undermanned in the automatons, like for real, there are over 100k ppl fighting for bugs while automatons are taking over planets, those bugs are far more terrifying, they move in larger groups, have more harder armored units, more bugholes to close per outpost, and the buff for stalkers that can send you to the air with a single hit while chasing you and pinning you on the ground, the automatons are far more predictable and easy to deal with once you understand how, I still don’t get how ppl are hating the bots just because they can shoot back? Is getting pinned on the floor more fun than instant death?
So happy to hear civilian evacuate is being nerfed. That shit is so unfun when you get about a dozen evacted but then it's just non stop hulks and bezerkers.
Definitely a fan of the citizen evac nerf. I tried some of those solo a while back, and I got stomped every time. With a group it's a lot more doable though (obviously).
Hell, at least it was the machines that got you. Me and my buddies had both types of mortars all down at once, 8 freaking mortars. We were just about to get the last citizens, then there was a bot drop right on top of us, so all 8 mortars proceeded to shell the living hell out of the place, killing the 3 citizens and all 4 of us, which led to us failing the mission because we didn't have anymore reinforcements.
