Helle knives simply resonate craftsmanship like a Martin guitar. Not cheap but still reasonably affordable to those who want a bushcraft knife of high standards. Helle rocks.

I have a lot of respect for your company! I agree 110% with traditional bladesmithing, just last year I was making Damascus steel blades but unfortunately could not keep the sales up because somehow people were selling blades at extremely cheap rates like £30 a blade. It's not understandable for the effort that goes into each blade. I hope your company doesn't have the same conflict I had & I hope the traditional ways stay alive for many moons to come! I will definitely be purchasing again!

Helle knives are pretty cool and can imagine a viking fisherman using a knife that looks similar to a modern Helle. I also like that they sell the blank blades so that you can make your own handle for even more bushcraft feel.

I love the fact they are hand made. It means that no two knives will ever be exactly the same and that to me makes them special. However I am yet to own one but that will change very soon.

Love Helle knives. One of the few brands still made in Scandinavia. I mostly buy knives from Mora but looking to add some Helle. I like that Helle still does the triple laminate. This used to be very common with Swedish steel knives too. My old Frost no 1 still has this type of blade.

Maybe 13 years ago. The last few knives were nice, but the pressure of high demand is getting quality of the product.

Remarkable How you can Grind Edge so precise, by hand , instead of a Robotic machine. Thats true Craftmanship. I have a Puko Hunting Knife, not made by Helle, and is nice Quality, but not as nice as A Helle. I like the Laminated core idea. A nice Shiny blade, but actual edge of Carbon Steel. Great concept. That process alone; sandwiching two pieces of Stainless and Carbon steel in middle, would be interesting to see produced.

Blade is punched out, hand sharpened, fitted with wooden blocks for handles and goes into auto shaping machine, and then buffed on buffing machine. A lot more machine made than my brute de forged 5160 blades. And then they sell at handmade prices.

I found one of your knives at the bottom of the James river on a camping trip. The handle that protrudes out to the sheath was worn down by the river but when i pulled it out the blade was immaculate. I'm taking steps to restore the water logged wood and i'm looking forward to owning one of these excellent knives. Well done

I'm impressed! Still made by skilled craftsmen by hand! Indeed just like what Mr. Helle said; there are cheaper ways to make a knife, but not necessarily the best. Unlike that other Norwegian knife company that also had a factory tour video. There were just robots and mechanics!

Just bought a GT for a deer hunt. Beautiful knife. Very well made. Unfortunately the deer were cooperative and my Helle remains untested.

Well… I just posted a video about my bent TEMAGAMI. Needless to say that’s a little disappointing, so I guess you’re not quite the perfectionist that you claim to be. And the sharpened spine is a little sloppy, but I can overlook that and fix that too. I’m going to try and straighten this if it breaks, oh, well, my bad, Off to the landfill he goes.

You guys won’t warranty my knife I sent in. You claim the steel can be bent back!! Pure b.s

Well, I guess all these people died because I've bought two this week and both had quality issues. The newest one has a crooked bolster so wood shows on one side and metal sticks out on the other. I'm from America but have Norwegian blood in me so, I thought it would be cool to own a knife from there. I'll fix what Helle screwed up just for the sake of me wanting to own a knife from Norway but, who ever is running this operation should be ashamed.

Helle knives are not made by machine. Then why show a robot arm forging one. Also stating Helle knives are unique. Then why show rows of the same looking knife?

Terrible quality control. After returning one defective knife (utvaer), I received a second, defective replacement knife. Shoddy workmanship and non-existent post sales support.

Nice propaganda/sales piece. Only, the problem is it doesn’t reflect the current reality of your product. The quality control is very poor with such standard features as: Off centre grinds...on laminated steel no less. Warped blades. Crooked and poorly fit bolsters. Very poor grade birch with no figuring whatsoever. Poor sheaths that don’t retain the knife sufficiently. Poor finishing overall. Clean up your act, Helle, and you will regain your old customers. As it is ,and regardless of cost, Morakniv of Sweden offers superior knives. Above all Mora are consistent and reliable. Those wanting Norwegian knives can find far better options from other makers in Norway.
