One can say that the 3 early Hellhammer demo-tapes (Death Fiend, Triumph Of Death, Satanic Rites) are tasters for whats to come of Extreme Metal and you can tell that there are some early Thrash Metal, some Grindcore, some Black Metal, some Doom Metal, and some Death Metal influences on theese. Metal wouldnt be what it is today without Hellhammer, HAIL!! \m/
And after the people said that the Heavy Metal with two chords is punk... Men what a bunch of idiots.. The "punk" was a big influence for the creation of the Death and the Black metal..Check Possessed, Bathory, Venom, Sepultura, Anal Vomit, Vulcano, Sodom or even Motorhead and Tank...His music wasn't tecnical or with great solos... Only some chords abd nothing more to create the most extreme music on the planet
Heavy breathing, she moans in the act Chained to a demon who's got a death pact She closes her nice eyes and starts to cry C'mon, baby, my master calls, don't ask me why

Probably this demo with single Amebix - Winter (Crust Punk 1982-1984. Amebix later play Heavy Metal. Their last album is Post-Metal/Thrash Metal) are heaviest in 1983.
Black Metal is a very interesting genre. All the early influences, like Slayer, Venom, Bathory, Hellhammer, and Merciful Fate (far less musically) were such great bands.
i think slayer didn't do shit, they are just thrash and speed, not even death or black, and people still thinking that death metal was started in america, while this band has 6 genres in 1 (extreme metal), and yeah merciful fate are just famous for their performance, but their music is like power metal...
DAOR3194 Slayer directly influenced second wave Black Metal. Several people in the early scene, from Euronymous to Fenriz have said this. Slayer has talked about murder, Satanism, and death in every album they've made. Show No Mercy and Hell Awaits were huge influences on the Black Metal scene.
Drummer Wanted: I have my own one man black metal project, but I need drum tracks. I suck at drums and if you could be able to play and record mp3's (doesn't have to be perfect quality), that would be cool. It's in the style of old Bathory and Hellhammer, so the drum tracks can be pretty repetitive if needed. Songs should only be 2 and a half to 5 minutes long; need 4 tracks and a Black Sabbath cover. Can't guarantee payment, but I will include your name on my page and promote you as a musician in whatever work you have. And a free physical copy of the demo will be sent to you through the mail if printed. Message me if interested.
Good old shit but let's not pretend it's Reign In Blood people. Satanic Rites and Apocalyptic Raids are way better. So is early Frost. Still, Hellhammer deserves much respect.
