This video is Part 1 of our weekend trip to Borrego Springs CA. (links at bottom of page)
In this episode we'll be hiking the Hellhole Canyon Trail to Hellhole Palms, a 4.5 mile out-and-back with a 900ft elevation gain. This moderate trail offers a fairly wide, well marked trail, with a steady incline for the majority of the trail. Once we neared the Palms though, we did need to do a little bit of scurrying.
Then we make a quick trip out Montezuma Valley Rd. to William L. Kenyon Overlook Trail for a short hike to the ridge overlooking San Felipe Wash.
Lastly, we take a look at a really cool hotel in Borrego Springs, the Palm Canyon Hotel and RV Resort. The hotel portion of this hotel was done with an old western theme and had a saloon, diner, gift shop, and two pools. The back half of the property was an RV resort that had several vintage Airstream trailers available for rental, each with its own outdoor area with a BBQ and propane fire pit.
