I said this in the last series, but the way they do the spirit box actually scares me. I'm a sceptic. There's a psychological phenomenon known as priming, where the brain can pick out patterns in something if it expects to find something, for example, backmasking doesn't work unless you know what you are supposed to be hearing. The method used during the spirit box scares me because the sensory deprivation means she can't hear what they are saying around her, nor can she see or read lips. She can't know what is being asked so it's extremely unlikely that she can fluke a coherent answer.
@@jayzo absolutely, it got me messed up. Whatever or whoever was talking(?) to her was clearly a highly level of sentient. But was or is it benevolent or not... That's another question...
This series is so well documented and amazing!!! I've been binge watching the past two days and it's mind-blowing, even though I live my life as experiencing "weird." Two things I've noticed: 1 - in one of the 1st season episodes, when Conner was using the spirit box at the cabin, he mentioned the word "Brown" but I never saw anyone make the connection to the Brown Mountains. 2 - in this episode, unfinished bridges was mentioned and I immediately thought of the unfinished highway that runs over top of Hellier. Just some thoughts I wanted to share. I hope you all continue doing these episodes in the future....amazing stuff!!!
The singing would explain why in old tales of dwarfs they would sing in their caverns. To open their secret doors. Man this cool. Everything comes together
I once read a comment on a Missing 411 video from someone who claimed to be an Indian on a reservation and her elders once told her, "Never leave a campfire in the woods and never trust any human voices in the woods."
@@chance1240Whistle frequencies travel way too far for your safety, at night. I used to whistle in Willamette National Forest because I was amazed at how the frequency would echo for miles, until the paranormal became a passion of mine.
As a guitarist of almost 30 years, I can tell you that to form most chords you need 3 tones called a "triad". The first of those will determine if it is a major or minor. The combination of the simultaneous vibration of the notes creates the tone.
Hi, like 2 years ago I started to be interested in Bigfoot and ghost hunts, I found your document yesterday and I am in season 2 now, just wow, I have 2 informations, not directly to your case, but... I live in Blansko, Czech Republic and there is the biggest cave system in middle of Europe, one day I was running on our sports island, it was about 6pm, in early winter, I was running, then I heard strange baby cry noise, Iwas never so scared, I froze for few seconds, then I start running to lights and safe of city. Second thing is book from Slovakia. Author Josef Karika, he found a strange phenomenon of people disappearence, in Tribec, near Nitra, Slovakia.
That is very interesting. I am curious about the Veela, do you have this folklore in your area? I know it's in Romania, but wonder how far these tales are spread. It seems every area has its own strange magick. I like the American Southwest and it's particular magick..
@Cindy Arnold 👋 I saw your comment, and I happen to live in the American Southwest. If you ever have a question, I'd be happy to try to answer it for you 😊 Edited for spelling
When you guys were live streaming in the caves and she kept saying "Bing Bing" it reminded me of the movie, "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" which as you know, was a way to try to communicate.
The liminality and marginality idea has completely absorbed me since I first learned about it in this episode. I find myself thinking about it a lot, and now I’m wondering if the liminality itself attracts the paranormal activity or if it’s the experience of feeling unsettled and uneasy that liminal/marginal states often bring with them.
I think it may be a combination of things. I believe energy attracts similar energy, so when you are in a liminal state your mind and your energy can be chaotic and that can attract chaotic entities and phenomena. I also believe that when you are in states of change, chaos, or disarray you may be more susceptible to certain things that you wouldn't be if you were more grounded, and perhaps trickster-like entities can sense that and take advantage of it.
I don't know if anyone's really thought heavily into this, but crossroads are always mentioned as places where encounters happen. A bridge is really just a crossroads too. And a crossing between nature and civilization. So a liminal space twice over. Just some idle thoughts rattling around in my head while watching. Also tuning forks are a continuous noise made by vibrations, stars do make noise as well. Some recordings of various celestial bodies are out there. Resonant frequencies are a thing, two identically tuned tuning forks if one struck the other vibrates in sympathy. Not to mention if you hit the right frequency you can cause structures to collapse or key elements in a structure to break. Lots of cases about that in bridges specifically. Another side note, 11th harmonics have been used to shatter microorganisms. I'm no musician but maybe fool around with a three stage harmonic? Makes me think also of whenever I played my mouth harp as a kid and my eyes vibrated and made seeing things hard, silly foot note. Probably not worth anything other than a huh moment.
Great idea! Vibrations can make you feel things like sadness, happiness. Stands to reason they could break things. I live very near a crossroad and have experienced some strange things in this house.
I grew up as an airforce kid - we experienced a lot of phenomena no matter where we moved. The energy of air bases, people coming and going. Some literally never coming back (death is a crossroad too) I never realised until watching this!
Moon Flower, death as a liminal space...food for thought. There's a liminal space we enter when falling asleep and waking up. A sort of portal. I like exploring there.
@@cindyarnold8165 oh wow ! There's truth right there. Explains why so many people experience frightening or strange beings in that liminal space. You reminded me of the French word for orgasm, "little death" and the occult practice of sex magic. These are all transient states of being.
Moon Flower, absolutely. This magick is old, old magick. My studies have led me back to old texts to find clues to " New" thought. It keeps repeating phrases and symbols. Sometimes the most profound truth can be simple, like the form of an egg. The great enigma.
The bing bing bings.. are frequencies figure out the maths of the frequencies, maybe there’s a message there, a direction. I’ve watched the whole season and I feel like this is a significant part that was misinterpreted because you guys don’t seem aware of the theories behind frequencies, research into them and how they can make us feel good bad, there’s frequencies that induce anxiety, frequencies that heal headaches, take away all kinds of pain, help you study, help release dopamine, help sleep, the fact this being was MAYBE on purpose wanting you to feel sick using this frequency later on in the series indicates to me that perhaps, it wants you guys to surrender to the feeling and experience true ego death, usually, that’s most commonly possible through ayahuasca ceremonies with experienced spiritualists who run them such as shamans. It’s through ayahuasca that a gate opens in the mind and the ego detaches which allows interdimensional beings/the universe to DIRECTLY and profoundly communicate with us. You guys fighting back the feeling by drinking wine, was the ego’s way of protecting itself in the face of discomfort and the threat of having its identity stripped away and/or re-shaped. Even if one person in the team does a ceremony perhaps that’s enough to break-through if you guys get stuck. Perhaps the cleansed person may be an even stronger Ariel in future communication methods. Just throwing some ideas out there.
@@JamesJansma as far as I can tell, there were two chords that Greg and Tyler sung, at first an Emajor chord, but later it shifted up to an Amajor chord.
"The space between" kind of struck a chord with me. I grew up in Stewart County, Tennessee, right on the Kentucky border. There's a bison preservation down there called "The land between the lakes." Directly sitting on the 37th parallel. It also has cave systems nearby.
I can't speak for anyone else that grew up in the area, but as a kid I remember numerous adults warning me and other children about strange rituals happening out in the woods. I remember a friend's mom telling us about her and her husband driving in the woods late at night and running into people on the road in robes. How much of this is religious paranoia or something else I have no idea.
I'm half Ethiopian and grew up with the following story about my grandfather on the Ethiopian side.. He was a taxi driver in Addis Ababa and one day he was asked to drive these two business looking men out of the city which he did, they drove for many miles and eventually came to a place in the countryside where the passengers told him to stop and stay in the car and wait for them to return. He sat in the car and waited for them for hours but they never returned and he became concerned/confused as they were in the middle of nowhere so it's not like they would have just run off or something. So he got out of his taxi and walked the direction they had gone in and there he saw a river amongst the trees with people around it and in the river he saw a devil looking creature. He believed it was a creature they had summoned. So yeah he ran back to his cab and waited til the men got back and that was the end of that 🤷🏻♀️ I grew up being told this story by mum and I dunno it's just always stuck with me. Weird!! Also my grandad was very respectable and hard working, not the type to make up stories for shock value.
The tones and the telephone is referencing the use of DTMF (Dual Tone Multiple Frequencies) Just as each number on a phone will play two tones at once to create a unique identifier. Playing/holding multiple tones at the same time can generate with a similar dimensional complexity that would be needed to exist on a common.
During the live investigation around 26:00 - 27:00, the thought came to me that the tritone they are making is exactly the same, only backwards from, the tritone of an out of service phone line. The same three tones.
I dont think the estes voice was telling you to build a machine and play it at a certain physical location, it more seemed like it was telling you to constantly emit that tune like a radio signal, and it almost seemed agnostic to location like it didnt matter (between spaces)
The Jolly Green Giant laughs with a "ho ho ho" that follows those same three tones. Wouldn't it be odd if the "other" had been teaching us the tones in the '70s through animated vegetable commercials.
This is hands down the best paranormal related show I've ever seen. I'm absolutely fascinated by every minute. Does anybody know if they have a podcast?
ETPhoneHome no podcast, but they have been on other people’s podcasts. If you’re interested, Greg and Dana run the Traveling Museum of the Paranormal, and there’s a Facebook group you can join by becoming a patron. It’s a tight knit group of people who care about each other and about delving deeper into and trying to understand the phenomena. They even do live investigations sometimes. Would highly recommend! We’d love to have you!
@@Unknown-od5te It’s definitely real. They’re some of the most genuine people in the field. They have a real passion for learning about this stuff and thinking outside the box when it comes to the paranormal in general. Aside from that, I personally have visited locations related to the case and had pretty significant synchronicities and experiences on that trip.
The mylar balloons are commonly found in active sasquatch territories. I have personally found 7 of them on my property where the sasquatch reside. I have them all documented on video on my channel. There are several videos with the balloons as the thumbnail picture on there. Many other researchers have found them in the areas they study too. If you find a deflated mylar balloon in the forest, it's a safe bet that the sasquatch are there.
Sasquatch have been connected to this land at least as long as humans. My opinion is they have been here longer. They despise theirs turf being destroyed. If those ballons were headed up into the atmosphere, potentially polluting, O could picture sasquatches pulling them from the ether to save the earths delicate atmospheres…..
The tones , frequencys , and vibritations are MIND BLOWING !!! The worry 4 me would be where would the portal go necessarily ? There r so many stories of monks and higer concious enlightened people using harmonics , to move stone and etc.
During the Estes Method, around 26:00 .. they voice is obviously telling them to play 3 unique tones, combined, constantly. One single tone, comprised of three notes. It's not 3 separate noises, it is 3 notes combined into ONE SOUND. Then it should be played constantly in the opening of a cave (liminal space) The secret is not to build a machine, but to BUILD A SOUND. It takes three (voices) Think gregorian chant.
If we’re talking about the issue of child torture, and child abduction and human trafficking within the occult issues- down south along the border they call the human and child traffickers COYOTES. That’s what came to my brain during the session in the cave.
patricia Bee Yes, I’m aware. I was adding a second look into the term because there is talk of child abuse and human trafficking with the government stuff.
Hi guys, the tones and telephone could literally mean the different tones that each number makes on a digital or mobile phone, find the numbers that make those tones on the keypad.
Honestly when you guys made the sounds in the cave and whoever dana was channeling kept saying good, it made me feel super emotional in a good way, like it was a super sweet connection
Oddly enough, I live on the east side of Cincinnati, not far from US 52. When 52 was mentioned in previous episodes, my first thought was you were on the wrong side of the river.
I've heard Vietnam vets talk about the large spider entities there. Some say the real reason we were there was to squash an outbreak of them (no pun intended). Heavy.
I'm so glad they are finally using Dana to interpret this time - I was getting frustrated watching people listen who don't know HOW to listen xD There's a ton of fairytales about rocks opening and closing. The Pied Piper. Moses and the rock with water coming out of it. The golden fish. There are others that I don't remember the name of right now.
I live in Eastern Kentucky (Beattyville) and have seen and dealt with so many paranormal and extraterrestrial experiences. My grandparents have seen alot as well. This series has made me feel right at home. (Literally).
I love you guys. A friend of mine told me about this series a couple weeks ago and i bingewatched the first season in a day. Now im on the 2nd season. Seriously so freaking cool and freaky!!!
So damn intriguing 👍 You guys do an awesome job and the quality of your videos make it even better. I could watch yall follow leads for seasons to come 😂 Never ceases to amaze me at the lengths you guys go to in order to pursue a lead or research a character. Appreciate all your guys hard work and have felt like a kindred spirit in all of this considering some of your investigation has led yall right into my neck of the woods in western NC. Never quit doing what ya do, yall are truly talented at this
"Don't trust Jack or Dale" I can't be the only one who's noticed all the similarities with the Twin Peaks mythos and lore and particular brand of Americana that surrounds the Hellier case. I just found it interesting the mention of the name Dale and, to a lesse rextent, Jack (which sound similar to Jacques, as in Jacques Renault). Idk, maybe a coincidence maybe another synchronicity (shot) of some kind.
I've been watching season 2 all day Greg & Dana & where season was good this just blows it away. I'm on episode 6 now & am gonna stick with it til the end. Great stuff guys. All the best for the new year. Cheers guys to all the team. Brilliant. Tom, Liverpool, U.K.
The mbira is an African musical instrument, traditional to the Shona people of Zimbabwe. It consists of a wooden board with attached staggered metal tines, played by holding the instrument in the hands and plucking the tines with the thumbs, the right forefinger, and sometimes the left forefinger. Wikipedia The Kalimba is the instrument that came to my mind when I heard the bing bing bing
"It takes three of us" - three people, each vocalizing at one of the tones, opening a "telephone' communications channel via harmonics. Just my interpretation
Love the series! The bing-bing-bing to me sounds like the notes A, G, E. I haven't watched all the way through to see what they do with it. These notes played together form the A7sus chord on guitar, a pleasing sound. Played on metallophone they sound cool, with some nice ringing psychedelic overtones. Interesting that the frequencies relate to numbers, and adding them together for 3 notes is complex as you have the main frequencies and also the subfrequencies from the various additions and subtractions of the main ones. Could be code of some sort.
The being in the inbetween and attracting paranormal activity is very interesting to me. It doesn't really apply to this story, but the one time that i've seen something remotely paranormal was on a camping spot in a forest when i was a kid. The spot where it happened was full of trailerhomes, mostly for people vacationing. Our trailer was on a short road. I remember one day, a thunderstorm hit out of nowhere. I went inside the trailerhome because of the storm, looking outside the front window looking at the lightning and rain. And out of nowhere, without any nearby impacts from the lightning, I saw a ball of lightning move over the road our trailer was on, I always thought it was a natural occurence, as my parents told me it probably was. Recently i've been thinking it might not have been "natural" at all, it moved as if it was walking the road, going straight in a line. It wasn't acting like lightning at all, Not being attracted to any of the trailers or metal nearby. I don't know what use this is to anybody but I hope it was somewhat interesting.
Don't know if you will read this, but I started watching your series 2 days ago and I'm up to here so far.... the strange thing is I wanted to find more videos on the original kentucky goblins case and in the first video I watched it was part reenactment and part interview. In the reenactment, the man who first went outside is filling up a tin can of water right before he spots the UFO or light above him right before the family encounters these "goblins". The tin can part stood out to me since I'd been watching your case that is also linked to that event originally and there was all that stuff about the tin can in season one. It was also a plain tin can in the reenactment no label or anything. Could be coincidence since the idea of a can is subconsciously in my head now. But still worth a mention.
In remember Dr. Stephen Greer talking about that three tone mantra in season 2 ep. 6. Something that he recieved from the other side, while having a neat death experience, to use while meditating. He spoke about at an event which is on youtube somewhere.
When Greg mentioned girls going through puberty can have paranormal experiences struck a tone with me. My daughter has been having awful experiences in the last 2 months due to puberty and anxiety. We thought it was night terrors at first after some research but I'm starting to rethink now. It makes sense to me at least as I had similar experience when I was her age. Very scary when you dont know what's going on. I wonder how many other young girls go through similar experience but just dont talk about it.
Just please do the world a favor and dont medicate her thru western medicine to “solve the problem” It will most likely only create an insurmountable problems in the future. Sorry for backseat parenting. I have nothing but positive intent. And wish your family the best
I think, even if you do find Terry, he won't answer the questions that really matter to you. He's interested in what *you* can tell *him*, which information you have that will add to *his* knowledge. Could he be the one that's orchestrated, and is still secretly leading, this whole "Quest" that you're on?
Two additional thoughts (even though I realize this is years after others have posted) Bridges don't just lead to other places...they are connectors. And, I'm curious if you guys ever looked into the records of the burned house...who did it actually belong to? Was it David P?
Wow just cam e upon Planet Weird couple days ago and been watching non stop and now on season 2. When I first seen the name Terry Wriste I immediately thought of a Terrorist. Love this series, I have been watching Secrets of Skinwalker Ranch but stuck on this page for now and my sister just moved to Kentucky from Ontario Canada, cannot wait to visit.
If we're talking the adaptation of Victor Turner's liminal theory for paranormal studies, Mary Douglas's Purity and Danger might be helpful in approaching marginal beings and marginal/liminal spaces.
31:00 This line alone makes me really hope that they go back to that cave from the first episode and try the bings there to see if that stone slab opens up.
fucking hell i started tearing up for no reason whenever they were talking about the “bing bing bing” and it’s freaking me out. saying it in my head has the same effect. idk if it just freaks me out or what
Great series, just found Season 1 and have been binge-watching through. Constructive criticism : maybe the team could've checked out Greenfield first ? Whether you believe they're really onto something, or not, what this series really is, is a kind of cinema verite about people seeking meaning.
26:31 "In the space between." Reminded me of this: ...“Nor is it to be thought,” ran the text as Armitage mentally translated it, “that man is either the oldest or the last of earth’s masters, or that the common bulk of life and substance walks alone. The Old Ones were, the Old Ones are, and the Old Ones shall be. Not in the spaces we know, but between them, They walk serene and primal, undimensioned and to us unseen."... - HP Lovecraft, 'The Dunwich Horror'
So, I'm an astrologer. I find it incredibly funny how at the time you guys went to the tunnel and Dana did the estes method, Mercury (communication) was in Pisces (watery, sensitive, mutable sign often associated with soulful spirituality) conjunct Neptune (planet of mediumship and in modern thinking thought to be the ruler of Pisces). Jupiter which is the original ruler of Pisces is in Sagittarius (another mutable sign), its other home sign and is in a hard aspect with Mercury/Neptune. When you did the first estes session with Connor, that Neptune was opposite Mercury/Mars in Virgo, another mutable sign, not watery and sensitive, but earthy and logical. The same oposition could be seen when later Connor with Tenney showed you how he broke the code. I've looked at many of the dates when significant events happened during your investigations over the years and the recurring theme is planets in mutable signs. Mercury is (if I remember correctly) always in mutable signs and many times in a hard aspect(conjunction, square, opposition) with Neptune. Mutable signs signify those times of the year when one season changes into another. You could call them... maybe... liminal? Yep. Liminal is very much what mutable signs are about. I always think of them as the times of the year when you are not quite sure which season it is. They are also not known for being structured, instead being chaotic or oscillating. Soooo. Look for those times when there's strong significations in mutable signs. The Silverbridge collapse happened when Mercury and the Sun was in Sagittarius, a mutable sign. Edit: Mercury is also the Trickster architype. Think of Loki from Marvel. So that's that. Astrology works.
I wonder if when Dana says that they need to make something to play the tones and suggests that the vibrations are the key, it seems like the notes need to be forged from metal like bells or pipes. Or sing them. An electric keyboard isn't necessarily making sound via vibration, so it probably isn't going to work for magical purposes.
Wouldn't be surprising. That ties into Coral Castle and the supposed biblical walls of Jericho, as well as much more. Rock moving via certain sounds, vibrations, etc.
Man if you all ever need a guide in East ky hit me up born and raised there and would love to do some investigating into high strangeness, either way this is awesome and really enjoyed its surreal watching you all travel around places I've been so many times
Just started to watch the Hellier series but have been watching the 411 series for sometime. This may just explain the disappearance cases that David is describing. Maybe David & Greg need to sit down a room together.
I originally thought you needed a phreakbox, but, now I believe you need three separate frequency generators. Each one will play the frequency of each one of those tones constantly. Those three frequencies together would be used at "the way through"... Or " the place in between "...
astonishing. absolutely amazing. hard to wrap my mind around without just belief. like when someone says , yeah, believe it! as i sit in the mountains a cple of hours away from there in NC. all the more fun!! ha!
Tapping into the "Liminal" requires being Conscious of what Psychology has termed "The Dreamer". It's the State of Being so to speak where One becomes"The Walker between Worlds! Basically imagine if YOUR Consciousness from the Awake State and the Sleeping State were ONE. In this model you would be aware of yourself in both the dreaming state and the conscious/awake state and there would be no difference, you would make choices and actions normally despite the state of consciousness You were in! There are lots of psychological methods to obtain a state of awareness in the dreaming state and depending on your skills to maintain that awareness for longer amounts of time to be able to enter what is sometimes referred to as a"Fugue" state. This is usually practiced in Esoteric circles and in a few left hand path circles. Imagine being able to slip from your living body at death and enter into any sphere or realm/reality you choose! This is practiced by Near Eastern Mystic Groups, therefore the mourning of the dead was revered and celebrated rather than mourned over. Sorry so long and hopefully this made sense.
the tritone or devils interval as it was known through history was banned by the church 100s of years ago because of its evil or power or dark origins and was said to possess a person, but more recently I discovered that maybe its not so much the 3 notes involved but the vibrational frequency they are played in, if musical theory standard as agreed back in the day for 440 htz being the starting point for tuning stringed instruments eg. guitar etc low string is E, then downward is A then D etc but standard D tuning is created by making the low E become a D then follow down tuning all strings 1 step down, the point is that frequency then becomes 430 htz and thats the tone that is required to create the powerful tritone in my view and which may open, or possess or hypnotize or whatever the church leaders were worried about, really I just think it makes the guitar sounds much more rich and satisfying to me, plus loads of bands use it nowadays, Ghost being my favourite
I want to know who or how the house burned to the ground. Was there evidence there that a fire would hide? And since you have the real address and name, what can the lady from the store tell you about him. It might be a way back to David.
Daz Smith had his team of remote viewers task and remote view Hellier, referencing this very documentary specifically, and the results were high strangeness!! WTF...
I feel like "Strand" needs to be looked into. Something is off about him. I don't know... maybe it's just be. My gut says... something doesn't make sense with him. " deceitful" " trickster ".
I think the wagon wheel in the convo is at Dixie Mart, grocery store. Makes sense because I have seen that type of deco in a few different locations. Not sure if they were talking about that but it could definitely be a possibility.
Omg heard about this by u tuber this is everything I love and believe.even though my son and my friends think I'm mad .I'm hooked best thing I've watched in a long time 😍
Could you build one of those frequency generators...? Those things we see that makes patterns in sand placed on the speakers, don't know where I'm going with that, it was just an image in my head. Sounds silly now I've typed it, but what the hell. Vibrations..
I’m currently watching s2e6 and I love it! But the thing that I find fascinating is, “How comfortable that chair looks that Dana sits in! She seems almost serene or godlike in that chair! Does she sleep in it? Is it sooo comfortable that she can’t get out of it? And where can I get one!,
