Thank you for sharing your experience I’m having my procedure tomorrow I’m kind of nervous but I know it has to be done. I’m a mother of 2 and I wouldn’t want to leave this place leaving my 2 kids behind alone. So I’m just hoping for the best
😭😭 I had my leep yesterday and same as you I went in for a pap since I haven’t been able to get pregnant. I was knocked out and woken up with mild burning sensation. I had no bleeding whatsoever. First day was tough tho because the anesthesia was wearing out. Second day I did some walking which made me feel soreness. Overall I thought it was going to be a horrible experience from all the blogs I’ve read. I probably broke down on my way to the surgery again, because of all the blogs I’ve read. As soon as I woke up I told my husband OMGGGGG that was so fast. I hope and pray one day I will finally get my bundle of joy♥️ we’ve put everything on hold for now since my cervix is weak.
I am glad you are feeling fine and everything is healed properly! I had my procedure done a couple of weeks ago, hoping that those abnormal cell will never come back again. Thank you for your video!
I had a keep procedure yesterday for high grade dysplasia and I am really nervous. I really hope things work out for the best. Thank You for sharing your video it makes me feel like I'm not alone in this
Thank u for the update! I had a leep in September of last year and I go to doctor next week for my four month check up. I'm scared that I will get bad results. My doctor told me he gotten everything out but I'm still freaked tho! Seeing this video gave me a lil peace of mind. Thank u so much! God bless!
I'm going through this right now!! TTC and went to get checked and found CIN2/3. LEEP went perfect according to my doctor and had good margins. Going back next month for a follow up and hopefully the green light to try again. Thanks for putting your story out there
k69kie crossing my fingers for you! This is definitely something that happens alllll the time. We just need to be more vocal about it to help keep others from getting scared. Glad all went well for you.
thanx girl for ur videos, i recently was diagnosed with high risk hpv cin2 back in september 2016 im starting treatment in february 9 next month, my dr. recommend to go for the creotherapy so i will be going in for that im kinda scared i think is not bad as the leep procedure. thanx again i hope u continue making videos xoxo
mayra061085 so glad this was helpful! The key in all of this is reacting quickly! Which you are doing so don't stress, everything will be ok! I would love to hear how it goes. Take care!
Omg I just searched this video we have so much in common I had my son on my birthday aug 15th as well 😅❤ just had my Leep done last week so this made me find this video
I just found this video after looking up topics regarding the process after Leep. I recently had a Leep procedure done last month because my pap results came back with HPV16/and was considered high risk hpv, so my obgyn recommended the Leep procedure as soon as possible. I was so scared because I did so much research online and saw the worst case scenario for cervical cancer and I got really scared. My recovery went well but I am scheduled back in 4 months for my Pap smear and I’m praying the abnormal cells don’t come back. My doctor also recommended me to always use a condom so the hpv doesn’t come back, but I mentioned to the doctor I am married and only have one partner, and asked if I need to use a condom for the rest of my life, pretty much my doctor said it’s my choice but the cells may have a chance of coming back if my husband and I use unprotected sex. This is a personal question but after everything cleared for you, do you still have to use a condom when having intercourse w/your partner? It just sucks because I’m married and never thought we would have to deal with this. Thank you for sharing your experience, I wish more people would talk about it. When I first found out about having high risk hpv, I felt so embarrassed and ashamed but as I did more research, it’s a very common virus people get without knowing.
Jessica Azer I am so glad that you found comfort in my video. Everything you just said I also experienced. I’ve been thinking about doing a follow up update video, bc it’s been almost 5 years and thank god it’s never come back. I am also married and after the procedure never used a condom or any kind of protection and I just got for the 4th year in a row, a normal pap. I know this is different for everyone and not everyone has this experience, but I haven’t had any issues. Had no strange symptoms and had a healthy and normal pregnancy shortly after the Leep. Good luck and stay positive!
A pair of jeans thank you for replying, it’s just so difficult dealing with this and I’m trying to stay positive and pray a lot. I encourage anyone to get their yearly Pap smears, it’s so important and I don’t think people realize how common hpv is. My doctor explained most of the time, mild hpv virus will go away on its own, but other cases it can be more severe like our situation. It really made me feel better just to vent and speak to someone who understands this procedure. My doctor couldn’t stress enough about recommending all woman to get their Pap smears every year, she told me a story about a patient that was told by her healthcare provider (Kaiser) a Pap smear was needed every 5 years, well this patient ended up finding out she had cervical cancer and had to undergo chemotherapy, if she would have caught these cancerous cells a few years earlier, this could have been prevented. Hearing this broke my heart and I wish there was more awareness on cervical cancer.
Jessica Azer I agree 100% my aunt is a OB and she also thinks that yearly paps are sooo important. They recommend that you do one every 2 years if you have consistent normal results, but I say if your insurance pays for it. Do it yearly! It is so incredibly important to raise more awareness on this topic, I myself had never even heard of this until it happened to me. Yes, keep praying it is key!
@@christysmith5211 Hi bella. Good afternoon. Well, The will put u to sleep. Once u wake up , u won't feel anything. They wont let u go home until u pee. U will see a lil of brown blood. Anestesia is gonna make u very sleepy the whole day. I saw more bleeding 2 days after. Make sure u rest, drink water. You will have like crampy pain. No intercourse for 6 weeks. My bleeding was more after 1 week. Personally my hormones where all over for the whole month. Do no bath only take showers. Today it has been 3 months after leep n im fine, no pain, no bleeding
They need to come up with a different procedure besides leep. I was told I needed one and I'm not doing it. The cervix is connected to the brain. Western medicine needs to change. Im glad youre okay.
New Age Woke Perspective Everyone has different opinions on the leep procedure and it’s certainly your choice! I wish you luck on whatever path you decide to take!
What did you decide to do? I was told I needed to get a LEEP and when I told the DR that I really wanted to do something else he referred me to a therapist because he said I wasn’t being rational. This whole experience has made me feel like I don’t have control over my body.
@@LeighAnnMiller Hey Megan. I started eating a cleaner diet, quit vaping nicotine, I haven't drank in 4.5 years so didn't need to quit that, I take AHCC mushroom supplements, beta glucan, indocarbinole 3, methylated folate, d3 and b 12, and a multi vitamin. I also haven't had sex since October. The guy I was seeing smoked and drank and if the person you're intimate with is unhealthy, that'll keep the infection going. 88% of us will NOT develop cancer left untreated. Doctors over diagnose and cut away far too often. The leep was developed during the holocaust and experimented on unwilling camp prisoners. Your doctor was insulting you by telling you to see a therapist. I'm 100% over western medicine practices. Leahmelissa11 is my name on Instagram if you wanna message me.
@@Camilliamahal What would you like to ask? Would you like to ask how my High Risk is now Low Risk after receiving a pap this summer and never doing the leep procedure?
I had leep procedure 4 months ago. It didn't affect my sex life, but affect my pee. I could not feel that my pee is full. I have tested a lot, I'm sure I could not feel anything even If I don't pee all day. Is there anyone who has this effect after leep?
@@rushinthekitchennow5150 I'm very sorry to hear that. it is kind a bad effect. I have searched a lot but Noone tells about this. Nothing found on internet. Then I searched for pelvic muscles. Cervix is very important part of pelvic system and it is not taken from. I'm very sad for Having leep procedure at all
Im 1week p.op no bleeding but has foul smell watery discharge which sometimes involuntary idk if its urine or normal discharge.. is this normal??? Im worried about prolapse thing. Have u had the same experience as well? It worries me a lot 🥺☹️
I WATCHED A VIDEO OF THE PROCEDURE ON YT BEFORE I GOT MINE DONE. THEN I WATCHED THEM DO THE PROCEDURE ON A TV SCREEN AS IT HAPPENED (ALONG WITH TWO STUDENT DOCTORS AND A NURSE IN ADDITION TO THE DOCTOR DOING IT. INSIDE MY VAG WAS SEEN BY A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT DAY)
Thanks so much for posting this. Could you maybe explain more about what it was like to get put to sleep? This is the part that freaks me out!! Like, what does it feel like? How do they do it? What does it feel like when they put the stuff in, like do you get sleepy or is more like wide awake to instantly out? Could you have stayed awake if you would have tried or is it impossible? Haha. Basically whatever you remember about that part would be helpful. Thanks so much!
Just had my LEEP done today. They basically put me to sleep with IV anesthesia and all I knew was that they were putting some patches on my chest and checking the IV heard some talking and that's it. Woke up in recovery. Just felt so sleepy afterwards
Hi sever cin3, just had my leep 6 days ago and was put to sleep,so once the iv is in and they are going to take u to surgery they put a lil meds in iv to calm u ,then once in the room and moved to the actual table, honestly felt like an alien abduction movie for like 30 secs ,but they talked me through every step and once the meds are put in it burns like a bitch in the arm for a few seconds and then I'm waking up talking to the Dr and my daughter who was there to help me home .I had a hard time with the biopsy before the leep so we decided sleeping would be better.i hope this helps it's probably already done but for anyone else down the road.
Just curious is your libido still in tract. I have read stories of women who lose sensation after leep procedure. There are three pairs of nervous that connect up to the cervix can be damaged by leep procedure. This damages orgrams function. Called scarring after leep procedure.
Trust the process! The bleeding is part of it. Remember, they use a liquid bandage, that could be part of what your body is passing. Good luck babe! I’m going to do another update soon!
@@Jeanszv thank you so much for your reply I'm trying and I've had two c sections but for some reason this process was so much scarier and more painful i think I'm glad to know I'm not alone and there are other women out there that have experienced this
@@jessicafryslie4700 you should always consult your doctor, but from my experience that was normal, but it was also short lived. The bleeding stopped after a few days.
Yare Davila hi yare, I'm not really sure why perhaps they are using it as testing tool to see how far the cells go? I encourage you to ask your doctor. They always know best! Good luck.
I know this video is a few years old but I have a question. How is your sexual desire after having the procedure done and does it hurt afterwards when healed? From the horror stories I’ve heard is that leep can damage your nerves and cause loss of desire and feeling.
Jenny Lopez hello! I personally had zero issues with desire after and no pain after I healed. Just make sure you give your body time to heal before resuming normal activities 😉
