The Sabres have plenty of good prospects, probably too many (and they have 10 picks in next year's draft, and young guys like Peterka, Quinn and Benson). The trade of Savoie stings a bit, but they could afford to make a trade like this to improve an area of their lineup that they stated they would improve this offseason (and they have). If McLeod can help the team break the playoff drought AND be a better team going forward, then I doubt Savoie will be missed that much.
