Neighbor: depressed because his family was killed and son went crazy Me: moves into town and repeatedly breaks into his house and throws trash at him

If anyone is confused I think I know the answeres: They started as a happy family. Every time Maya opens the door, the crow helps her escape to her imagination. The mother dies of a car crash leaving the father depressed and the kids didn't know till later which lead to Aaron pushing his anger on his sister because she looks like his mom. Green eyes and orange hair, and everytime he sees her, it reminds him that his mom his dead, forever. Aaron doesn't want to talk about his feeling since he didn't want to appear weak to his sister and because he thinks she wouldn't understand. The more the hate from her brother, the more she dislikes going into her imagination. The crow brings her to it as she feels like she must do this even though she doesn't want to. He brings her doll to the roof and she follows in order to get it back. He slaps it and is in anger because he wants to hurt her more but he also wants to share his feelings. She tries to comfort him but he slaps her away. He accidently pushed her since he didn't realize she was standing on the edge. The father becomes more depressed and uses the shovel to bury the girl then he locks up the son because hes not just angry, it's because thats all he has left. When the player (the child from across the street) discoveries Aaron who is locked up, the father or the neighbor gets mad because he thinks the player was about to call the police, to take away his son. The player grows up and the shadow represents the son since he was stuck in that basement for who knows how long. Possibly died from starvation and dehydration since the father must've died or probably killed himself. After waking up, the player feels peace knowing the house with the neighbor is dead, meaning he is safe. Edit: There is another end to the neighbor. The neighbor lives after being saved by the player. I do not have any theories that can be right or absolutely wrong because I have not seen that end. But my theory above is for only this playthrough.

To me, the Shadow Man represents fear, resentment, darkness -- everything we see as a dark "shadow." At the beginning of the Final Act, the player still has a "shadow" in his heart from the trauma he experienced with the neighbour as a kid (represented by the Shadow Man haunting him). In the end, he was able to face the Shadow Man and overcome it, leading to the "EXIT" (i.e. moving onwards in life). While we see the neighbour at the end, barricading himself from the Shadow Man but trapped in the house. His only way to the "EXIT" (i.e. moving on) is by facing the Shadow Man (the darkness and shadow in his life), and overcoming it. It seems like, in the end, he was never able to. The scene where the neighbour trapped in that house with the Shadow Man was really quite sad.

All these years we hated the neighbor but we know his past now 😪

The writers did a awesome job in the story line. I wasn't (and I'm sure other weren't) expecting this dude to turn basically into a lunatic after his loses. It does something to you after watching this - seriously.

Bro throughout my Entireee life I thought that the hello neighbor series was just a game to play. However today when I finally beat the hide and seek version I found out that the entire series was connected and led to a truly depressing story kinda makes me wanna drop a tear. Another name for this series could be “the tragic story of the peters family”because it went from a family of 4 to just one man with a secret backstory.

here's the true story, so here, we got Aaron, Maya, Diane and Theodore. they are a family. so Aaron and Mya play hide and seek everyday before dinner. one day the parents were missing and left the kids home alone. then the dad came back saying that the mother died. Aaron is furious about this and Mya plays another hide and seek game to cheer him up. Aaron then starts abusing Mya. the dad mentally grounds him. Then they play one more game. they were at the top of a balcony and Aaron puts his anger on Mya. Aaron then accidently pushes Mya off the balcony and Aaron gets locked up in a room. Theodore is by himself after his whole family is gone. Nicky Roth then moves and is curious about him. so he kept going in the house but got pushed. Nicky hated this as a child and as a grown up got revenge on the neighbor and put him in a little house. Nicky lived a normal and happy life. Theodore's life was miserable and half ended. in the hello neighbor show Nicky and his friend actually try bringing Aaron and Mya back. sadly the neighbor was not happy.

I feel bad the neighbor. He just wanted a happy family. He went on a drive with his beautiful wife, crashed, and as you saw in the movie. He tried to save her, but it was too late…. His son went mad and it was because of the car accident. He hated his sister because she looked just like his mom. He was filled with anger that he threw his sister’s doll out of her hands into the abyss. He didn’t realize his sister was on the edge, and with anger pushed her. In the movie she slowly falls to her death, and you can tell on the boy’s face, that he messed up. In Act 1, you can see the neighbor is hiding something… his son. He’s the only family member he has left….. his son probably died of something. It could’ve been anything. But the worst part, is that you can go from such a happy life, to something you never want to be part of. This movie really made me break a tear. All neighbor wanted was just a happy family….

This and the books have the full story. Mr. Peterson is the neighbor’s name. His full name is Theodore Masters Peterson. His son’s name is Aaron and his daughter’s name is Mya. In the first Hello Neighbor game we play as Nicky Roth as a kid in the first two acts and as an adult in Act 3. These are their names in the books.

This is the full Hello Neighbor story: Once upon a time, there lived this young, happy family who had nothing to lose. A dad, a mom, and 2 kids. The mom was very nice and loving to her family, and did the cooking and cleaning, and the dad worked a respectable job and made good money. The 2 kids, brother and sister, got along very well. They played together all the time. One day, the Dad and the mom had to leave the house by themselves for a normal reason, like to go to the bank, or something like that. A few minutes after they left, the Dad got them into a terrible car accident, killing the mom. At dusk, the Dad finally returns to his house to see the kids in shock that he left them for that long. He told them about the accident, and that their mother is dead. They tried to carry on with their lives, but it was difficult. Especially for the boy, who became insane, and started treating his father and his sister poorly. One day, he was so angry, that he told the sister to come onto the roof with him, and then he pushes her off the roof, killing her too. The father, devistated, decided to lock the boy in his basement for life so he wouldn't have to go to prison, and puts up signs that say "Simming" kind of like "Missing" to make people think his kids are missing, instead of "dead" or "locked away." The little boy was very clever, and escapes from the basement through the hatch on the other side of the house, and runs away from home forever. All in this same day, The father's neighbor's child playing in the street happens to come across the house as the father locks the little boy in the basement. The father captures him, because he does not want him telling the police about what happened. The child escapes, and the next time we see him in the game, he is all grown up. He gets a letter in the mail at his apartment in the city saying his parents passed away, and he inherents the house he used to live in. But he does not want to live next to someone who captured him years earlier, so he decides to resolve this conflict once and for all. He infiltrates the neighbor's house, which appears to have "some" add-ons done to it. He conquers his fears about everything that has happened in his life up to now. He faces off against the neighbor, and finally succeeds. He wakes up from a dream to find out that there were no add-ons done to the house, and gets information from his other neighbors that the neighbor disappeared out of nowhere years earlier. So we don't know what happened to the little boy, or the neighbor, but we do know that the player lives happily ever after, and doesn't dwell in the past ever again. The end.

So it went down and grabbed it and went through the window. SO THIS EXPLAINS EVERYTHING. They moved in a new house there was 2 kids that loved to play then the neighbor crashed which caused the mom to die then the boy went crazy (anger issues) so the boy hid the girl's toy so the girl had to look for it. When she found it the boy was very disappointed so the boy pushed her which caused her to die too. then in the original game the player sees the neighbor putting a boy in the basement which is the son. The neighbor was actually trying stop his son from hurting anyone else or to go to jail. So the player thinks that the neighbor is a kidnapper but in the backyard you see a grave and that is where the girl died. And the shadow is actually the girl trying to get revenge on her brother and the girl was making the player hallucinate to prevent the player reaching his brother.

So... The neighbor was a good guy? EDIT: I already understood that he was a nice person and got bad. Stop commenting for getting likes please, because I ALREADY GOT IT, DAMN IT
