Steven needs to take part in more AMA's like this. Not only was this more informational than their showcase streams, but Steven got to be a lot more personable, enthusiastic, and unrestricted than he normally gets to be. It was awesome for him to let loose and show the true gamer side of his life. The questions were great as they really hit some direct points as well as some points that I haven't heard Steven answer before. Amazing video!
IMO there will be branching options which if most servers take those paths that will be the choice that becomes persistent across all servers. There's no way they will be able to create so many assets to make every server have 100% unique stories, characters etc without the game becoming 100000000000gb in size in 5 years.
awesome interview. Steven seems like such a pleasant person to interact with... just genuinely excited for this project. Cannot wait to see Rogue get showcased hopefully in one of the upcoming monthly update streams before the end of the year.
Yup, the more I see and hear about this, the less likely I feel it will be that I have to bite Steven's leg off. This old dog just wants what he was promised, and it seems like I'll get it.
This is great content, Alot of good questions and I wonder if there will be any clear benefits to not having a combat pet, or will everyone seek to have one?
If a node is destroyed, do we lose our freehold? More importantly, do you lose the ownership of that parcel/county this meaning even if the node gets recreated, you have to reinvest all the resources to buy and create that node? Would that mean in theory, a player could spend months farming materials and gold to buy a freehold, create it, then lose it the next day/week if the node is sieges and destroyed?
When the node is destroyed, your freehold is destroyed too. You get the buildings and/ or furniture that was in the freehold, but a lot of the inventory in storage can be looted (I think they said not everything in inventory). Losing your freehold is part of the risk & reward of the game. Choosing which node you build your freehold is part of the strategy involved.
Also, I think it will take more than one person to farm for a freehold. Knowing the mmo fanbase, all the good spots will be zerged by a guild-backed group. This game is not for solo players. I suggest for people to understand they will not be able to do everything the game has to offer.
As already mentioned yes you can lose your freehold. You could technically be in the zone of influence of a larger node that gets destroyed and your node not fall below a stage 3. Then you could still keep your freehold as long as you complete the quest to do so and you will have a week. We should all be prepared for the idea that like nodes, freeholds are not designed to be permanent.
Are you going to have Druid? and if a druid transforms into an animal are we going to see the name above that animal telling everyone hey this is actually a druid, and not an NPC animal ...because that kind of is blowing the whole idea of transformation and its disguise... I hated that in Everquest 2 that transformation into another animal did not hide your actual identity ...
Druids are not planned for release. They may add Druids in the future, but they have mentioned it would not be a shape shifting class, but more of a dnd- classical nature focused caster.
I just don't want my gear to be lost in any circumstances. If I try my hand in open pvp and get corruption then lose the gear im wearing tbh I quit the game on the spot
You would only lose gear if you were red or corrupted. Otherwise you just lose materials and gatherables. It is possible to lose an item to over enchanting.
@@TheoryForge isnt that what i said? look if i lose my weapon and cant play the game anymore im done simple as that. why start from square one for trying a portion of the game seems to me that the PK function of the game is locked for wealthy players with multiple sets of disposable powerful gear
@@jrod8618 lol Its an mmo its a time issue ,the pvp wont be balanced and on top its a you lose stats and are marked on a map. its more of a design issue you can pk but you cant play the game if you do.
@@Schaden36 "the pvp wont be balanced" have you played the game kid lmfao. Just get good. Dont get corrupted and pvp if you are scared. Simple as that. Stick to making my planks kiddo.
