You don't have to be faster all the time. Creativity is the most important thing when making music. This song proved that Helloween is beyond power metal. Tqvm for the beautiful music.
When I first heard this song, I didn't like it. But over the years, as I started to listen more to it and enjoyed a wider spectrum of music, it really started to grow on me. Same for the entire Chameleon album. Putting aside that Helloween usually plays metal for a moment and one will find a solid array of many enjoyable songs on this record, each masterfully put together. If anything, Chameleon should be seen as a great achievement. That the band, despite its internal struggles and conflicts at the time, could still produce an album of such quality really speaks volumes about the talent of each band member as a musician. I'm not sure if there are a lot of metal bands who'd be able to do what Helloween did with this album. It's sad that Chameleon is the target of so much scorn (same with Pink Bubbles Go Ape) these days and that the band has chosen to ignore its existence, because there are many songs on it that I'd love to hear live. "Giants" chief amongst them, as well as "I Believe", "First Time" and the fantastic if tragic piece that is "Music".
+Icarax Keeper of Jericho Pink Bubbles Go Ape...is actually very similar to Helloween's standard material, just without the beautiful melodies that Kai Hansen contributed to the previous few works....where as this album, it doesn't even really bare resemblance to their metal work....in fact for the song above for example, I can't really think of anything to compare it to.....

Amo essa música. Kiske da aquela típica aula de canto. No chameleon seu timbre já está bastante diferenciado da fase keepers. A Voz está mais encorpada. Os agudos em voz plena mais firmes, poderosos, com uma qualidade do timbre mantida em notas altas de uma forma que quase ninguém no gênero conseguia/consegue. Não se trata de gritar ou fazer agudos, e sim de cantar alto com primazia sem perder a coloração vocal.
I had to buy the physical copy of it and let me tell you it's perfect! Greatly mix and I wish it got more recognition! Beautiful from start to finish. I don't care what people think, this and Pink Bubbles Go Ape are classics!
Man you said it all, it makes me happy to see that there are people who recognize the genius in Chamelleon. Not only Helloween have yet to make another album like it, but so do many great bands.
Este disco no es tan malo como se dice, pasa que era una época en que se habia impuesto otra tendencia musical como lo es el grunge.. Muchas bandas cayeron en un bache por aquellos años 1992 a 1998 Sin embargo helloween recupera algo de terreno con Máster of the rings solo un año después y se vuelve a reafirmar con the time of the oath. Pará mí los mejores álbumes con Deris.
This album is so amazing. It's Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, Rock Pop, a little Glam and the song Crazy Cat i think is Jazz Metal. One of the best albums of Helloween as albums like Keepers or Master Of The Rings but not able for closed minds, that's sure

si, es muy diferente a lo que estamos acostumbrados a oir de la banda hasta ese momento, pero se atrevieron a usar elementos que no son caracteristicos del metal, innovaron y me parece que les quedo bien...
How that sax just smoothly comes in at the end after all of the MAGNIFICENT POWER guitar work is nothing short of being ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. Beautiful music it is.
A stupidly good song made even better with those amazingly powerful horns. Chameleon was Helloween's "Cold Lake". The album nobody asked for, but the one they got. And we're all better off for it. Thanks guys! RIP Ingo.

If this were my first time listening to Helloween, I would be depressingly disappointed to learn they’re a power metal band. Chameleon is a masterpiece we didn’t deserve but was given anyways.
i am a bit shock when helloween change the music style on pink bubble go ape and then again for chameleon that year (93) but i still love it. Helloween forever. Hafiz Malaysia 2018
After hearing this song and the whole "Chameleon" album, I was hugely dissapointed at that time (as most of us were), but somehow, after many years, with band returning to what they do best and putting out many quality albums, "Chameleon" grew on me. Yes, there are some lame moments, as boys were stepping into unknown territory, but there are great songs as well who would fit into later albums as well- "Giants", "I Believe", "Longing", "Step Out of Hell, "Music" and "First Time".

Bueno quien es Fan de Helloween desde por lo menos hace 20 años no le disgustara esta canción, aun con un rumbo muy diferente al que fue en los primeros dos Keepers, Kiske con su voz, Ingo con esa bateria sublime y Weikath con su guitarra no dejaron mal sabor de boca en el álbum Charmeleon, pero claro esta que cuando se juntan para tocar Power es muchísimo mejor

i thimk because was a really sudden change in the style of helloween at that particular time, and many fans did not understand. But for my is a really good album
Helloween just might be the most progressive of all metal bands ! Its ironic that the album that was the most divisive on release is their only album that doesn't sound dated today. Even with the internal personnel changes they managed to release and support a fine rock album.
