I really hope this gets a sequel!!!

This was really good as a person who was really confused by a lot of the lore. Stuff made so much more sense. Jamie KILLED it.

To me, it looked like the Hell Priest grew more impressed with Riley's choices, and choices and consequences is what this movie was all about. I swear the Cenobites were reacting to Riley's choice of the Lament Configuration like "At last! Someone has understood."

being a huge fan of the first film after seeing it in the theatres (yes, i’m THAT many years old) i have been extremely disappointed with the shit show that continued to plague this franchise (with the exception of Hellbound: Hellraiser II). So going into this “re-imagining” to say i was skeptical was an understatement. But O…M…F…G… This film had me hooked (YES!!!) from the beginning and when the end credits finished, i just hit the ‘watch again’ button and did just that. This film was everything i have wanted and needed, and i sincerely hope it was well received by Clive Barker himself, as it married both his film and his short story so beautifully. As always, it was fun watching your reactions and i’m glad you both enjoyed this flick. Keep it petty, boys! ❤

Loved this movie so much. Truly as iconic as the original - and it still cracks me up that Roland Voight looked at the cenobites and thought "yeah i bet theyll give me a cool reward after i let them take off everybodys skin"

Pinhead is one of the most interesting horror “villains” of all cinema… Pinhead isn’t really a “”villain” in the classic sense. He isn’t a mindless killer. He/she is a consequence. He cares not for your beliefs, your intentions or your thoughts. Angel to some, Demon to others.

I could never get into hellraiser but I know I’m going to have a good time cuz of you guys❤

Please do watch some of the original Hellraiser series for this channel, if you're feeling it! This reboot was really good about redefining the Box and returning to the concept of the Cenobites as amoral priests of their torture dimension. Yet this film can still plausibly fit alongside what fans consider the "canon" or "main" franchise, as the imagery from the first two films is reused and the Cenobites themselves can be endlessly recrafted by Leviathan just as we explicitly see in Hellbound. I actually let the "rules" of the original series warp my understanding of this film a bit; in the original series, solving the Box means you will be eternally played with by the Cenobites in their "Hell", but in this new movie, it's implied that you just die. (Thank goodness for the souls of Matt and the others; their suffering may be legendary but it's still momentary!) Altogether a very solid, workmanlike Hellraiser film that achieves exactly what it sets out to do! I daresay it's the most consistently good film in the series. I don't see the budget or bad ADR like I do sometimes in the first two movies.

I definitely loved judgment but this was amazing. So happy to see the franchise thriving after the travesty that was revelations. Can't wait to see where this goes from here. Also love seeing ol budy from practical magic. Biggest crush on him growing up

So I believe that new “Pinhead” character is actually Kirsty from the original series. In the comics, Kirsty takes Pinheads place because he’s become bored of his existence.

I'm glad they did a good job with this film. From what I heard, the lead pinhead cenobite is supposed to be more accurate to the original source material, where pinhead is supposed to be more androgynous in appearance and personality. I also recommend the original hellraiser and other films by Clive Barker. He puts a lot of gay subtext in his work.

I love Pinhead aesthetics, but my personal opinion about the franchise is that all the movies end up dated. Furthermore, I've personally never been a fan of the special effects used in it, except all the cenobites. By the way guys, have you watched "Dahmer" as your petty pumpkins know you well & you're big fans of Ryan Murphy's productions... Would a Dahmer's reaction video be in preparation !???? I LOVED this movie. The only critique I have is that in the original lore, the Cenobytes never made anyone do anything they didn’t want to do. If you solved the box then you were just chosen. In the original two movies the reason why there could be an exchange was because it involved people who had escaped the Leviathan’s hell, and the exchange could get them recaptured. And I miss the black leather coats haha other than that this was perfect

It was an OK movie, better than all the movies that came after Hellraiser I and II, but I and II are still superior. I think Hellraiser is not a franchise to be produced in the US. It should be produced in the UK. The British are better at film making. I feel the US is somehow shallow and cannot really grasp a story like Hellraiser plot-wise.

This pales in every way to the original two Hellraiser movies. The plot/story is a random rip-off from the first 4 movies, put in a blender, and barfed on screen. But, we are supposed to seal clap because a trans actor portrays Pinhead, or whatever. Watch the original and you'll see how much better the cenobites look, the gore, the music, the acting, and the plot.

There's some hell raiser comics out there in the ether too. Expands on the lore a bit. Levels of hell and such.
