I think the important part about the messages is the complete miscommunication between the two. Stolas wants to be considerate of Blitz by going "oh you don't have to come this month" "oh its fine if you are busy" "we don't have to do the 'bedroom part' if you don't want to" and all that blitz hears is stolas not wanting him or rejecting him and finding excuses. Stolas feels the need to apologize for his mere existence while blitz feel like he should just preventively take himself out of peoples lives because he's not wanted anyways.
Oh my gosh you explained it perfectly. I got to Stolas being considerate and giving Blitzo a choice but I couldn't figure out how to put Blitzo taking it as Stolas finding excuses into words 😭 but yes exactly, and I can relate to both of them 😅
Fun fact: The hospital is located in the ring of Sloth, which explains why the Hellborn nurse can’t read or spell (too lazy to learn how to) and why it looks so much nicer (the hellborn residents are too lazy to cause any real chaos)
IT FINALLY MAKES SENSE!! Why does it take 5 years to book an appointment for a shot that's supposed to be had yearly?? Because they're in Sloth and these people are lazy!! Thank you for helping me find this one thing that's been bothering me ever since I watched the episode! :P
@@cinnamonbeanbaby444 people with Synesthesia can interpret sounds and smells as colours due to an overlap of signals in the brain I'm not sure if that's the case here but still an interesting piece of scientific trivia
Three things I love about the episode: 1. Loona being adorable panicking about the show with Blitz reassuring her. 2. Moxxie and Millie almost crushing Striker by cutting down his statue. 3. The emotional heaviness with Stolas and Blitz’s text conversation
Yea well its shown sort of on the heirchy chart vizzie made their a section for hell born then under it it a section purly for imps and hell hounds being below other demons
It kind of makes sense though. There's minority groups that act like shit to other people in their group. For example, colorism is a thing within minority groups.
I love that Vivzie confirmed how powerful Stolas is. Yes he’s powerful but he can still be killed. It’s also cool he can use his demon power as a kind of quick teleport skill like Deathloop.
@@a1saiyan382 Striker is not stronger than Stolas, he just has literally the right weapons and gear, specifically made for killing royalties. Without those he would be literally powerless against Stolas
@@a1saiyan382 The episode proves that heaven blessed items are stronger than him, not that Striker is. Striker's been paid by royalty and elites and given access to things he really shouldn't be capable of getting otherwise.
@@yukiflytias7894 still tho,if he has prep time he would win, cuz if he doesn't have its not fair, and tbh striker has more physical strength, speed, agility and probably durability, stolas is basically only strong cuz of his hax and abilities
@@a1saiyan382 You clearly missed the point with @sterthester736 's comment. Striker is not stronger than Stolas, a prince of Hell. He had Angelic weapons and that's it.
Yeah Stolas also pointed out that Striker works for a Royal. He seems to hate Royals so much that he is willing to work for them just to get access to the weapons necessary to kill them. Since as a lowly Imp there is no way he can obtain blessed weapons on his own(which are the only thing that can kill royals) even Moxxie was shocked when he saw Striker have one due to their rarity.
The flower petals seems to be representing the "he loves me, he loves me not." The first petal falls when Stolas sees that Blitz texted to check on him (he loves me). Another falls when Stolas relaizes Blitz wasn't going to respond to his final text (he loves me not). Another falls when he places the phone down (he loves me) perhaps there is some sliver of hope in Stolas that Blitz may truly care for him. Then the flower's last petal falls, ending on (he loves me not).
But also, you have to look at the counter. The phone is surrounded by six petals (including the one on top of it) before it pans up to the seventh one dropping. By logic of that superstition, every petal counts. From what we see, it should be "He loves me".
Random Thoughts: I like how Stolas' call is still going after Striker crushes his phone. What kind of unholy things happen in Stolas' bed to where he gets off on getting stabbed?
I like to think that Stolas said those things just to mock striker and ignore the pain, he is immediately annoyed after Striker lets him go the first time
@@yukiflytias7894 I think there are truths to what Stolas said. Blitz mention using bear traps on Stolas when they go at it in bed. And Stolas was VERY enthusiastic when "threatened" with them. So yeah, don't think it was just a jab at Stryker. Hell, Stolas was about to go into detail, considering how the only time he got serious or responded to anything Styker did, is when he mention Octavia.
The text messages are kind of this shows way of telling us why Blitz and Stolas aren't as awkward in person as one mightve assumed after the events of Ozzies (1x07)
Blitz is definitely gonna visit, but not right now. He's not good with relationships, you should all know that by now. But he DOES care, he's just completely ass about showing it.
Still though, Blitz is almost brutal atp. His little "k"s and "sure"s are cold. I was low key disappointed in him this ep, like I understand his issues but even I as a Blitz kin am having trouble digesting this behavior from him, damn, these two are idiots. Poor stolas, he feels like needs to apologize for merely existing while Blitz doesn't even want to TRY getting involved, so self loathing that he is. I relate. I relate to them both so hard.
I think the text chains are also potentially double whammy - because if you kinda watch the show as it is, Blitz doesn't write a lot. I mean it's clear he knows how to read and spell but also... The billboard in S1E1 is done by voice to text. We see him on calls and he communicates his plans in drawings. He has a VERY clear insecurity about his education level - you can especially see it when he's tripping on truth syrum. I imagine part of him not texting a lot is being emotionally closed off, but also some of it may just be he's embarassed. It isn't comfortable for him. And to see others like Moxxie and Stolas talk "fancy" and write flawlessly - well, he withdraws. At least, that's the vibe I'm picking up.
the flowers at the ending definitely represents stolas’s love/patience for blitz slowly fading or falling away kind of like beauty and the beast. This show is so good.
You sit on the cake, wait for their refractory period to cool down, and then eat the cake. That’s what you’re saying, right? Or is it somebody different for the cake eating?
I seem to be lost for words by “Striker’s Statue” and the question that Ruff ask during the ending. 🤭 as I have no clue to answer that. Also it seems interesting to hear Hazbin Hofel Pilot Alastor’s VA doing the voice of Striker. I guess Norman Reedus was busy with the Walking dead and not coming back for this season.
Super sensitive to sugar and can’t usually eat a whole slice, but you said it was the best cake you’d ever have- so I’d eat the cake- And lmao hmannnnn- love the reaction y’all
Vivienne Medrano 💖 tweet Also want to give a true thank you to @EdBoscoVA for doing such a great performance as Striker! Norman (understandably) got too busy to do the show again, but still honored he was part of it! At least Striker is in good hands! 💕
The thing is, he was hurt by 'Angelic' or rather known as 'Blessed' weapons, similar to the rope that neutralised Stolas's abilities, these guns and weapons would leave a permanent injuries (if Striker took his eyes off, they would never recover) so any lethal wounds, even for Him would be fatal, however Lucifer has to be smited by higher ranking Angel to be killed, same for the Seven sins I believe.
Pretty good episode I love the fight scene between Moxxie, Millie and Striker. I like the b-story with Blitz and Loona especially anyone with a dog knows that feeling and hassle when taking the pets to get shots and I'm glad they didn't kill off Striker here and that he'll continue to be a recurring villain for the team. Especially given what he said to Stolas we're probably going to be getting some backstory with him later on involving something that happened to make him hate nobles all in all amazing episode.
Honestly the scene with Stolas in the hospital really hurt to see especially right after my mom just came back from the hospital, and Blitz’s face and his “He can get hurt” made it hurt even more cause we can genuinely see Blitz being worried cause he probably couldn’t have imagined one of the royals of Hell getting so hurt to the point he needed to be hospitalized On a lighter note, the whole thing with Loona getting a her shot was definitely one of my favorite things between seeing Loona nervous about getting the shot (I feel that as I really hate needles but I suck it up) and her fighting back was funny with the music in the background
So just commenting in case people arent aware, Erica Lindbeck the voice of Loona, lost her partner to cancer last year and so she wasnt speaking much from what ive seen commented previously. If this is incorrect let me know and ill edit this or delete it but yeah...thats why Loona hasnt been speaking much they may have needed to rewrite perhaps because of this But this was still a really good episode
As a straight person, I'd also sit on the D. The other option is just a double whammy of upset to me because, A, I'm tasting someones D. And, B, I'd be upset sitting on a perfectly good cake too. 😢
I felt so bad for Stolas I love his character so much❤ ❤. I am scared of Stella and her brother of what they will do I hate them, I don’t want Stolas or Octavia to get hurt. Lonna and Blitzø scenes were so funny 🤣 🤣 🤣. I am happy that we got to see Striker again I enjoyed his fighting scene with Moxxie and Millie was so cool 🔥 🔥.
I bet if this channel was still anime-centric these commenters would be having _MELTDOWNS_ at the question at the end I change my mind to - eat the cake, wash the D, eat the D
(4:48) We’ve seen different sides of Loona with each passing episode. Whether it’s subtle joy, pure anger, sadness, but fear? Huh. Could’ve fooled me. 😮
Blitz seeing Stolas hurt isn’t him understanding he can get physically hurt, but that the connection between their races and mortalities is much bigger than he expedited. He basically took what he though was a god off of a pedestal and realizes he has the power to hurt him mentally, something he clearly didn’t fully understand beforehand.
I love the mariachi imp band 😂 - Andrealphus is voiced by Jason Lashea (he also voiced Haurchefant from Final Fantasy) & is based on the demon from Ars Goetia who is a marquis of Hell & depicted as a peacock, but with the ice he reminds me of the Snow Queen - Striker was not voiced by Norman Reedus in this episode but interesting he is voiced by Edward Bosco the voice of Alastor from Hazbin Hotel
Okay so I heard this somewhere that the petals falling down from the flower symbolizes he loves me he loves me not. The first petal fell so that must mean he loves me but when the second petal falls down that means he loves me not so is stolas gonna think that blitz doesn’t actually care about him? Lmk if I’m wrong!❤
Love Helluva Boss! Im sure since they've become more popular, especially since Hazbin Hotel is becoming a series, they've been able to hire more help to create more episodes in a more scheduled time frame. There are still delays, but that's to be expected in anything really.
I think Blitzø actually doesn't even know how to write (or at least not much) due to how he was raised. So he's either giving short, poorly spelled responses because he can't be bothered, or he's doing it because he genuinely doesn't know how to give a proper response. Anyone think I'm onto something?
The thing which got me interested is that in Striker's theme song they said that his the best assassin in the ring of wrath which I think means helluva boss is in the ring of wrath and when blitz was fighting with that lady he said that he wasn't from wrath which makes me wonder what ring is blitz from?
Also, IMP mainly operates in the Pride ring (thus, getting access to earth born sinners). Striker mostly lives in Wrath, where he’s known in his circle as the best assassin (though apparently not so infamous that Millie’s family wouldn’t hire him by accident like they did).
I will not answer your question directly. Let me just say that I was born in a well-bred family of strict rules, and I can’t even think of treating food disrespectfully.
LOL I went to answer the would you rather and I got a content warning that made me think about posting OH MY GOSH. The second option. That's my answer.
“Just give us gta in hell” yeah saints row already tried that and it sucked so bad gat out of hell was still better than that remake of the original they tried but still
This entire episode was fantastic, from pacing to music to emotional scenes and humor. Seeing just how much confidence Moxie has gained is also awesome, he's always been my favorite character and this episode was so good demonstrating his growth. Also, I will absolutely be blasting Striker's theme song now that we have it! As for Ruff's question: I don't want cake in my ass, so I will sit on the dick.
I can only assume Stryker's hate are mostly centered around the Goetia. And the cause could be the former leader's bad decisions or unfair order. Stryker did say he lost love ones, most likely his family.
Ok but like, petals falling is NEVER a good sign like I feel like it either symbolizes Stolas’s feelings for blitzø or maybe just to represent his sadness?? IDK IM SCARED I JUST WANT THEM TO HAVE A HAPPILY EVER AFTER
