Great to see younger folk listening to the blues. I grew up with it. Saw Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee. I'm 73 now. Like Muddy Waters said " The blues had a baby and they called it rock and roll."
Possibly less practicing , more listening is a good way to go. Then use a couple CDs and that 'repeat track' button to death. Hearing one tune 30 times is a time-honored play along method.
Very impressive. Sounds like you're lip blocking this song? I've only found one lesson online and it was tongue blocked. It's funny you say no one sounds like SBII because I came into playing through Led Zep/Robert Plant and as soon as I started listening to SBWII I could tell this is where Plant got his style. Thanks for the video
Excellent cover. You have some serious potential. Now that you’ve got the song down, add in the nuances that make it great. You can use a quick “tuck tuck” articulation on the chords and make them as snappy-staccato as you can. When doing the iconic -4’ 4 -3’ 4… line, really emphasize the tongue slaps. You’re good enough to really polish this and make it stellar.
Seelien: You are my Hermonica Hero!!! This is just fantastic and is a great inspiration to someone like me who is still learning how to play. You rule! Thanks so much for posting this. Please do a LOT more of these videos! Brava! Brava! Brava! Cheers.
@@seelien_ Been playing harmonic since 70 yrs. Trying blues on Diatonics since 5 yrs. Love you sweet child. Bless you. From which country? See my channel for my one Hindi movie song. Very popular one and you love it too.
I can't stop watching you playing girl, in my channel i've got a short video of me jaming on a blues backing track, but you are so good and also very beautiful, keep on playing🙃
Great rendition, Seelien, keep up the impresive work. Blues harp was always one of my favorites & no better to emulate are the blues masters like Sonny Boy!
