We have so many here in Romania too, taking a trip to the seaside and meeting lots of kitties where we're staying too. The good news is most seem healthy, people here seem to feed them and take care of them which is pretty awesome.

How sad if Egyptians no longer worship cats.

All over the world in every country these poor little animals are suffering. I have a 3 year old cat, in Canada, and I love him so much. I do everything I can to make his life comfortable and give lots of love . It breaks my heart to see animals abused and starving. God bless those people in this world who have a heart to help these little animals survive. But the world is full of evil people, and that will Never change.

There’s a man I have spoken to who lives several hours outside of Cairo. He does what he can to help the street cats in his area but he is out of a job so, many of them die. It’s such an awful situation to say the least. I live in a country that also has a “street cat crisis” - I have taken in 8 cats so far and feed the rest who come to my garden. One of my outside boys had an abscess on his side due to fighting. I had him hospitalized and castrated, then released him back into my garden. He’s much happier and healthier now. Thank you for helping as many cats as you can - we sadly cannot save them all.

Also let local politicians and VETERINARY CLINIC for help with SN! Seems a lot! It is! But we have to add also programs in the schools EVERYWHERE to educate people/ kids about COMPASSION and HELP HELPLESS ANIMALS! SPAY and NEUTER a Must! TOZ suppose to visit and VETERINARIAN small and big towns and make sure they can provide low cost or voluntary Help! Killing animals is Barbaric and not stop the problem! May I ask what state you live in that prohibits the Animal Coalition from offering affordable health care services?

@@debbabe2254 I live in Alabama. SHAC can provide the services to other non-profits which they do, but they are unable to currently serve the community in their current capacity. There are some hoops they will eventually be able to jump through, but the truth is veterinary services are a big, for profit, industry and they'd like to keep it that way.

In fact, SHAC, spayed and neutered 35 large dogs this week for a neighboring shelter in Pensacola, so that they would be able to find their forever homes. Baby steps...

Contact the county shelter, and/or research any and all TNR support groups in your area. Please, please don't abandon these animals without exhausting every possible resource!!

Maybe tell the landlord there will probably be less liability if the cats on the property are spayed and neutered so their population will stop increasing? Also, the R in TNR can mean Re-home instead of Return! Certainly there is at least one rescuer around who knows a place they can be re-homed!

WHAT liability issues? That makes no sense at all. I would rather trap these poor cats and have them euthanised than let them breed, or leave them to starve.

Check out Alley cat allies website..it will list colony caretakers near you. Try to find someone who can take over..you are doing great work!

Vets are outrageous now since there's a shortage of them...they were always expensive but now it's outrageous.

@@susan8471 “Vets are outrageous” you might want to reword that. I don’t think vets want their prices to be outrageous, they’re just trying to stay afloat and working during tough times.

That's scandalous ,here in UK my charged £30,and it's not the cheapest I know of.the vets there are very greedy that's all I can say they are perpetuating the the cat population breeding .they don't really care in my opinion .

My local vet's fees are already high and keep going up. I'm. handicapped and my budget and ability to get rides are not good. My vet won't give rides. -- I may be able to get my mom cat, ow just past a year old, spayed (neutered) once her kittens are weaned, through the TNR group, if they remember. Also vaccinations. -- Or I may have to wait longer to see my local vet, and pay more. Meanwhile, I'll also have four kittens to get adopted out after getting vaccinated, but I now expect that to take longer again. Local no-kill shelters and rescues have become fewer while the need has become bigger. And if I had help to offset costs, I could possibly foster some, except I'm at the apt. pet limit. with my two. This is all very frustrating. And I get a little help from friends out of state, so that I can keep feeding the strays and ferals outside my door to the apt. parking lot. It isn't much, but it does cost, and yet it's a drop in the bucket for need. I am glad to see the ones who come by each day, feral or stray or friendly. it's more of a strain now. How are we supposed to help when our own resources get squeezed out? -- And this whole thing has me more conscious of my own needs, but also of homeless folks, old folks or youth or anyone. Our society NEEDS to do more to take care of each other, humans and animals. America is still supposed to be one of the most developed and most well off countries, yet we have an increasing inequity and need going on. If we cannot work this out, then there is something wrong with our culture at the root level. We must find ways to do better. Things should not be like this. We must change.
