one of these days you should launch out of Big Break Marina in Oakley and head east up the river. Lots of good fishing along the shoreline for miles from there.
Argh. Another tough one. I’ve never gone as far as you did around that corner. I see bass boats head that way all the time though. Some go all the way to the bridge. I’ve seen the clear water on that side though. Island side of the marina. Even saw beds a couple weeks back. Usually smaller fish in there. For me, it seems like the drought we had improved the fishing as the water clarity was really good. Maybe something to do with nothing new coming down the river! Now we are getting mountain runoff constantly. Once the water clears up some and warms up, we can hope for the good bite! Thanks for the great content. Your video quality is excellent. I’m getting my butt spank by the delta right now haha. It definitely seemed fishable on that side but it was super low and there were a lot of guys fishing on the road. I don’t know.. just keep trying new spots and keep fishing. Hopefully the big girls show up. Thanks brotha 👍🏻🍻😎😎
A few weeks ago, a buddy flew in from Texas and we fished that same area with no luck. One bass hookup and one small striper to the boat. And we're both pretty dang good at it. Don't feel bad at all.

Also, I was unaware of a real Bass community in Arizona. Y'all got water down there? who would have known. Keep up the great content, and maybe well cross paths one afternoon.
@@realmortician really appreciate the comment brotha.. yeah there’s a small community of savages that fish out in AZ when it’s 118 degrees outside haha. I was mostly around lake Havasu and Parker AZ. I wanted to jump into the tournament scene in northern CA so i packed my stuff and made it happen. The tournaments up here seem to be about half way through the season. I might jump into a couple tournaments this summer but mostly using this season to fish everything and get ready for next year. 🍻👍🏻👍🏻😎🍻
My #1 lure that I always have tied on one of my rods at the delta (the only place i fish) is a weightless Texas rigged fluke . Maybe that'll help turn things around for you 👍
Yeah no doubt.. Texas rig weightless seems like the move. Theres just too much grass man. This is the hardest fishing I’ve done. If the punching or topwater doesn’t work you’re in trouble 🤣
@@CramersPage definitely a lot of grass but that’s also why I love the fluke, you can rig it weedless and use the fluke as essentially a top water and just skim it across the top of the grass. I agree tho, it’s definitely been a grind lately and you really gotta be at the right places at the right times during those short bite windows 😂
It’s still early in the season. Usually the delta is on or off. I’ve never spent much time there even though I’m like only an hour and a half because I just know personally from other friends and anglers it’s extremely hit or miss. You’ll know when it’s good fishing.
This place is extremely difficult to fish. There’s a select amount of baits you can use out there. I’m still getting use to this place but I’m sure the lakes will be easier to fish up here in NorCal. Thanks for the comment. 👍🏻🍻🍻🍻🎣😎

Just subscribed and started watching your content, Casey. Don't get defeated, the bass bite has been up n down. Water temperature is not too cold, keep covering water, good bait to do that with is a bladed jig(chatterbait). I've been fishing the delta for 40 years+, I'm 56. I fish out a crestliner canadian 17'5. I'd love to invite you to meet up and fish, perhaps can share some strategies. I am in Lodi, CA. Come out on the boat, and we'll scare em' if nothing else! Thanks man for the information. I’m trying to cover as much water as I can in this kayak haha.. I’m going to try all the boat ramps in the area and see where they’re hiding. Chatterbaits aren’t a big player where I’m from.. something new to get use to out here. I haven’t heard of anyone catching over 2lbers out of the areas I’ve fished.. I’m sure it’s just the area. @@CramersPage Unfortunately thats how it is but your video quality is on point! You should try for some striper too. It might not be your cup of tea but it’ll definitely bring in viewers at least locally. Plus the striper bite is going pretty good right now. 🤘
It’s not the bait, when you’re in the right area with fish they will bite whatever you present to them. Maybe try getting out to the central delta or south.
there really aint alot of bass like that over there, I hope someone isnt pulling your leg and telling you there is... we got a bunch of stripers in the system, some toads too all nice ones... we still roping them but now going for halibut
Haha no it’s just me trying to figure out the Delta. I’m just launching out of every boat launch to learn the area. Stripers are everywhere . I can see them running on the graph. The sea lions are also everywhere.. haha I’ve seen some big girl stripers being pulled in.. like 25lbers 😂. Halibut sounds so good. Definitely can’t afford to buy halibut haha $30 per lb at the store. Go get that dinner👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😎🍻🍻
@@CramersPage I hear you bro, these all my stomping grounds because I hunt this whole side.. im telling you, look at "Bullfrog Marina" and look at that train trustle... it's maybe 5 minutes with a kayak... if you look on a map with true north, it's like north/west from Bullfrog, you cant miss it
@@CramersPage there's some good spots but mostly by boat... you're launching at holland tract, check out "Rhode Island" hella grass in there too it's just barely north of the holland tract launch

Margarita mutilator is a staple delta color if you haven't hear people talk about it yet. It's made by roboworm. I'm same as you though, I tend to throw the same colors everywhere. I have a couple spike it pens if i wanna get silly. I use the red spike it on green pumpkin creature baits for my jig trailers when I see red crawfish.
@CramersPage I don't fish the delta often and I haven't really been paying attention to the current bite, but have you tried getting up into a slough somewhere and find some clean water? I was in beaver slough two months ago and there were pre-spawn bucks all over the place. Saw a few kayakers up in there too so hopefully there's a close launch.
