@DylanTalksTone, You innocently made the mistake of calling the SEYMOUR DUNCAN "Black Winter" a active pickup when in fact it is a Passive. You are confusing it with the "Blackout" series Seymour makes and those are definitely active. The "Black Winter" is a passive, ceramic magnet high output pickup designed for Death metal and heavier tones.

I think having a Gibson as my main acoustic for several years got me set up to enjoy short scale on electric, too. Haven't had a Fender jag, but I've loved playing around on a Peavey T15 in the last year. Definitely a different feel than Fender scale!

@@DylanTalksTone I was referring to the first or second comment that said they didn't have the capability to distinguish the finer differences. So what difference would installing new pickups make? Similar to a video I just watched on Phil McKnight's channel. The customer wanted new pickups until they saw they were Seymour Duncan Slash models. Too many people playing with their eyes instead of just listening.

For the person asking about putting an effects loop in an amp which didn’t come with one. There are videos on this. It’s actually quite simple, if you have the circuit diagram. But because extra careful! That’s death voltage if those caps are charged.
