I told my kids they were beautiful. Equally, because boys need to hear they are handsome, too. I took my kids everywhere, on picnics, to the beach, camping, I taught them to swim, ride bikes, took them to church and had them babtised and confirmed. Music lessons, dance, and martial arts. I took them and taught them to climb trees. Taught them to cook, to clean, to be a good friend. Manners are everything, and keep chin up to show confidence. Neither of them have poor body image or issues with depression. I hug them everyday and tell them I love them. I told them they were wanted, and my only regret was not having MORE children. They were powerful things, they are grown now and adore me. I know many adults that didn’t do these things and now live with regret, have kids that don’t talk to them. Uplifting children’s esteem is so important. Do not allow your young kids to get fat, feed them better. Don’t not let your little girls go out the door unkempt. Do their hair, dress them well. Teach your children good manners, when they go out they will be appreciated and held in high regard. Teach them to think about others, to have empathy...this way they don’t get stuck in their own heads. Cut out good quotes and tape to the fridge, this way they have good morals which others can see. As a result, you will have children who are good people.

Raising three teenage girls is todays world can be challenging. Thank you for sharing guidance and wisdom from all of you. I appreciate what you men do!

Such a sweet momma!! Identity is in Christ is the first victory! But Identity in who He made His kids to be runs beautifully deep beyond this too. In the movie The Blind Side, the coach couldn't help Michael apply his God given abilities to the game because he didn't understand his players well enough. LeAnn took the time to understand the gifts within her son and helped him apply his once hidden abilities to reach his potential. These depths are available inside all people but some stop short because they think Identity in Christ is the "main thing." It's more of the beautiful starting point. The goal of our faith is the salvation of our souls. 1 Peter 1:9. Souls consist of mind, will and emotions. The place where many battles are fought and can be won! This momma demonstrates how God being authentic draws in Abbas favor in beautiful ways. The renewing of our minds to God's truth, promises and ever present help. Her exposed and humble heart is such a gift of God's love in tangible ways. Heart warming love.

I have a 19 year old daughter and was thinking about things I could have done better. One thing that affected her and I, was siblings. Brothers saying mean things and teasing! I thought I was ugly and she thought she was fat.
