Hey, Fabio, California did have the death penalty before Charles Manson was convicted, but during the early 70s, it was banished for a brief time and that was when Manson was convicted to life without the death penalty. After California reinstated the death penalty, Manson was still protected by the old temporary rule. I agree with that it should have been an exception with that scum bag. California still has capital punishment, but Gavin Newsome has it currently on hold.
The song “Helter Skelter” was about a huge slide at a carnival Paul Mccartney used to go to as a kid. The story goes when The Who released “I Can See For Miles” song in 1967, a music critic journalist called the most hardest heaviest he ever heard. Paul felt competitive and said that “i can do a much heavier song then that”, so he wrote “Helter Skelter” about a carnival slide he used play on as a kid. Absolutely NOTHING to do with a “race war”… Now, i’m wondering about your thoughts on Mark David Chapman, i always thought maybe he would’ve been an obvious addition to Manson family if he was thier age.
One of the people w h o was killed with Sharon Tate was I think the grand daughter of the person who invented foldgers coffee. Random fact but interesting. May all of Charles victims R.I.P
