How to mix Mehendi / henna and indigo paste to naturally color hair at home
To color grey hair:
In One Step process -
Mix 25% indigo for red brown
Mix 50% for brown
Mix 75% for brown black
Please add 1 tvsp aleo vera powder for softness.

Points to remember:
1) Quality of henna/mehendi powder and indigo powder should be good and all natural. Poor quality, bad results. 😪
2) henna or indigo might be old and you might not stored those in cool dark area. So they demise quickly.
3) if your hair is thick and black then either try 75% indigo paste and just 25% henna paste
Or
You can try 2 step process, first apply henna paste wash it and then apply indigo paste within a day or 2
4) do not mix lemon or curd or yogurt in henna
5) keep paste on for 4-6 hrs
6) you can also put again the paste in 1-2 weeks if you have lot of grey hair and putting this for the first time.
7) follow same steps as i shown in video, indigo and henna paste demise quickly. Do not store paste just apply immediately after dye release
8) first just wash with water, shampoo after 2 days
9) mix some tea tree oil for better color
10) mix fresh aloe vera or aloe vera powder to add shine and moisture.
It always worked on me, my family and all my clients 😊

It works 100%. I’m in late 50s and 40% of my hair is grey. This two step method is very effective. You MUST follow two steps. I tried applying both powders together. It didn’t work. Like shown in the video follow everything religiously. It works. Trust me. I wish I could post my video too with the results. Thank you for such an honest and trust worthy video. Thank you very much it really worked I have a superb long hair with 40% of grey hair it covered 100% of my grey can gave me a lustrous shine ...but Henna and indigo made my hair very dry but on the 4day I gave a coconut oil massage and washed my hair now I just love my hair thank u your a life saver instead of spending on chemical dyes u can spend on this which is pocket friendly and 100%natural.

Una pregunta por favor el índigo al igual q la Henna q tiempo hay q esperar para colocar en el cabello. El color de mi cabello es igual al del vídeo. Empecé utilizando sólo henna me quedó rojizo anaranjado. Después conseguí índigo pero en los vídeos q vi decían q solo debo mezclar el índigo con agua caliente y agregar a la Henna previamente preparada el día anterior el resultado fue un color caoba oscuro en las canas y el resto de mi cabello negro no sabía las cantidades q debía usar de cada producto. Hello I have a question. I used indigo on my hair a couple years ago and it gave me a terrible headache for 24 hours and my hair started to fall out really bad when I went to rinse it out. I'm so happy to have found these videos! The hair comes out just beautiful with your method! I wonder if you would advise me on a couple of things. First, what tips would you give me for dying my previously chemical dyed hair. It is medium to dark brown with a couple inches of roots growing out, which are also medium brown and significant grey. I would love to have a nice reddish brown. I watched another or your videos using 25% indigo along with henna and that looked good for me, i thought, except there is the business of the grey roots. Should I do roots and then the rest of my hair separately or all together? Henna then indigo or mixed together? And, also, where would I buy good, quality henna in the U.S.? Sorry for all the questions. I'm just so inspired by your videos that I might be able to really have beautiful hair with henna! Thank you in advance.

Thanks Amy ♥️♥️♥️ I highly recommend to go for henna, indigo, cassia and herbs rather than put any chemical colors/dyes. I am applying henna to hair on all my ladies in the house since i was teen. Is that possible you text me on 2035728061? I think you will need 1-step process and try mix henna paste (70-50%) with indigo paste as shown in my other video. Add amla powder, aloe vera powder, tea tree oil few drops to a tsp depends on how much you mix. Mix it with green tea.I do sell in US but currently i am stuck in India. I might return next month. You can buy from hennasooq.com they sell great products too. You can apply paste to whole hair for first time but later you just need to patch roots and grey. Once in a while you can put whole hair when you need it as hair mask as well. Feel free to ask questions ♥️♥️♥️

I did a lot of research and found another company which, I believe, has body art quality henna and I ordered from them. The Indigo as well. I'm definitely going to use your method of wrapping the hair in an ever-growing bun because that looks very efficient.. I don't have enough room on my phone to get the WhatsApp app right now but I will keep that in mind and I very much appreciate you extending yourself like that. You *must* leave at least 6 weeks in between switching between henna and chemical dye. I had a disaster due to *not* doing these (lost a lot a lot of hair.. about 5 inches of the top layer… ) due to *not* doing this - read up and be careful x

Initially you might need to apply every 3-4 weeks later you will need only once in 6-8 weeks. Curd will add only if you do not want color, if you just want hair pack, so add aloe vera instead od curd. Lemon is harmful, add amla powder which give same effect as lemon and it is very good for hair. Please read description of the video and watch my other videos as well to get an idea.

Washing hair with anything very often will remove henna eventually and it depends on your hair type. I am glad you use all natural for hair wash. Using natural products are always better.

This is all natural, you can repeat when you feel like. For my mom i do once in 2 months. Initially you might need 2-4 weeks but may be just root touchups.

Do you sweat a lot ? If yes then apply to only roots next time and wrap your head with cotton cloth instead of plastic. Yes i recommend henna and indigo both should keep atleast 4hrs.

Mix paste little tight. Just before u apply add some warm water. Seat in a heated room or near heater. Also ask doctor if you have other health issues.

No. The henna starts dye color release after a few hours but indigo starts release color as soon as we mix it. So we can not mix the two powders. We have to make paste separately and then mix the paste together. Henna with warm water should me mixed 3-4 hrs before applying and indigo should mix just few mins before applying.

Apply indigo as soon as you mix it. Within 5-10 mins. Keep indigo for 2hrs in hair. Also follow all the instructions in description and video 😊

No. Just wash with water. After 2 days of henna indigo then wash with shampoo and conditioner. The tea tree oil is essential oil not hair oil. You need to mix tea tree oil like a tea spoon only in your henna paste. Do not apply that directly to hair.

Yes you can, but you need more in quantity. Use Atleast double than powder. Also use natural pulp without any fragrance or chemicals.

what do you do to prevent indigo washing out, salt turns hair rapidly white and that is normally what is suggested. indigo stays for a couple days and then washes out after one wash and then the whole colour fades to orange henna again.. can we add sugar instead???

That why we should always have henna with indigo. Either 2-step peocess as shown in this video or 1-step as shown in my other video. If henna is not there indigo doesnt stay longer to hair. You can avoid salt. Do not add sugar.

Cassia powder can we get in India and what is it used for? What is the method to use cassia powder? Can you please tell?What does it do for the Hair?Is it is a out of India herb?

Cassia is same as henna, but it is use to color grey in to blonde color. If you have dark color then it will not have any effect. If you just want a hair pack and no color then also you can mix herbs in cassia rather than henna.

It is a plant just like henna. So it is all natural. You should buy very good quality pure indigo. In India this plant is known as neela patta.

Thanks. Add the aloe vera, amla and hibiscus powders 1 tablespoon each, few drops of high quality tea tree essential oil to your henna paste. Mix all in warm tea water. In indigo you can mix aloe powder and just warm water.

You can use just plain warm (not hot) water for indigo. I used warm tea water.

It is same problem with me. Mix paste little tight. Just before u apply add some warm water. Seat in a heated room or near heater. Also ask your doctor first.

I did it and the result color wise is amazing. The smell though is horrible. My head stinks. I tried washing it with shampoo and it didn't work and I really can't stand it. Do you have any advice please?

Add few drops of tea tree essential oil you can also add few drops of lavender essential oil in henna. Also wear hand gloves 😊

I wish to know that,can I add curd,Aloe vera powder and Amla powder or lemon juice to the Indigo powder application? Iam worried that my hair should not become Dry therefore I want your opinion.Because my hair becomes Dry with the use of Heena and Indigo powder Hence I will be buying Aloe vera powder to put in Heena powder So can I put Aloe vera powder in Indigo powder application too? It is said that, unless some thing acidic is added like lemon juice or Amla powder the Indigo doesn't give colour.Is it True? Curd is added so that the Dry effect on the hair with Indigo powder application is moisturized. Please give me your opinion Or should I use the Indigo application with warm water and then wash my hair with plain water and apply some mustard oil that day and wash my hair with shampoo conditioner next day? Someone said that,one should not apply any oil or serum after the application of Indigo powder and just to wash hair with plain water and then wash hair after 2days with shampoo conditioner. But Dear the Indigo powder application makes the hair dry and it becomes difficult to comb my hair as there is no moisture in the hair after washing the hair with plain water after application of Indigo powder Please kindly give me your valuable reply Iam waiting for your reply

Just add warm water in indigo, and may be pinch of salt. Nothing else in indigo.

Hi! I’ve read in the comments that the indigo will fade after a few weeks/months. Once the indigo fades, will my hair look red-ish from the henna or will it go back to its natural colour?

Yes dry it and apply indigo. Soak indigo and within 10-20 mins apply it. And then keep it 2 hrs

No dye release of henna is much longer than dye release of indigo. If you mix them in warm liquid henna takes 3-4 hrs and indigo takes just 30-40 mins. Indigo will go bad if u leave it longer.

Not jet black but very dark brown actually. Do not add salt in indigo. Also if you want try 1-step with 30 % henna paste and 70% indigo paste.
