The Jerusalem Music Centre’s Young Israel Philharmonic Soloists Program is aimed at 35-40 of the most outstanding young Israeli string players, ages 14-18. The program includes a concentrated week of lessons, encounters and master classes under the guidance of prominent Israeli and international musicians. The program takes place every year at the beginning of the school year during the Sukkot holiday.
During this week students are given daily personal lessons, get ample time for focused personal training, and participate in a chamber orchestra, workshops and lectures, alongside enrichment activities, time to spend time, learning and getting to know their colleagues in the program and opportunities to perform in concerts.

Intonation spot on especially the octaves passage. I think it is one of those show stopper pieces that you have just have to go for it in performance. Doesn't do to analyze it too after learning the notes.

I worry greatly about the health-&-well-being of his left-shoulder [in 15 5o 20 years], as it is all jutted uPwards and locked 'stationery', and not able to freely move about {See [no, "Watch"-!!!] } David Oistrakh}, with the sound off & learn how to play 'without' a shoulder-rest, or whatever that is underneath the lower bout of your violin; 😬 ~ So glad I became an Amateur Violinist.

Oistrakh also plays with a shoulder pad.

I don’t think his shoulder looks bad. If he’s not hurting, he’s fine.
