As Superman, saving the world is his day job - but actor Henry Cavill will now work with Durrell Wildlife Park to save endangered animals.
The Hollywood A-Lister is now an Ambassador for Durrell and will help raise the profile of the work they do.
The 31-year-old visited the conservation park this week to see the gorilla family and youngster Indigo.
Henry explained: "It's something that's dear to my heart and especially when it comes to a conservation effort Durrell does it so wonderfully and they focus on things other than the beautiful, fantastic creatures - the little brown jobs as Gerald used to call them! And that matters to me and it's something that I really want to help out with."
The actor - who has also starred in movies, The Immortals and is due to appear in The Man from UNCLE, said he remembers going to the wildlife park when he was a boy.
He said: "I can remember being at Durrell - very, very fond memories - a lot of messing about with my brothers! But I remember just enjoying the animals and I've always enjoyed the natural world."
