Henry Fambrough was renowned vocalist. He achieved acclaim as a longstanding member of the R&B quintet The Spinners, also known as The Detroit Spinners and The Motown Spinners. Fambrough dedicated an impressive sixty-nine years to the group, contributing to their enduring legacy.
In April 2023, Fambrough announced his retirement from active performance, yet he remained intricately involved with The Spinners behind the scenes. Despite his departure from the spotlight, the group continued to perform, honoring their longstanding commitment to music.
With the passing of fellow Spinners members over the years, including C. P. Spencer, Billy Henderson, Pervis Jackson, and Bobby Smith, Fambrough stood as the last remaining original member, preserving the group's cherished history and musical tradition.
Sadly, on February 7, 2024, Henry Fambrough passed away in Sterling, Virginia, at the age of 85. His contributions to The Spinners and the world of R&B music will forever be remembered and cherished by fans worldwide.
