@@pauljenkins6877 oh yeah. For me the top 3 channels are Iraqveteran8888, forgotten weapons and this. All provide solid reliable info, and trusted. I have spent many hours watching them
Thank you for making this video. I had never heard of these 22 cal lever action shotguns. Marlin and Remington used to make pump action versions, IIRC? They're collector items now, I guess.
Fender Guitars used to use ash for the solid body guitars that were to be painted a solid color. Ash apparently is nice wood but given to green streaks.
I haven't seen shot shells for ages. This Henry Garden Gun is brilliant. I would use it for dangerous snakes like copperheads, which are common where i live.
Just a thought with remington being broken up, perhaps someone will start putting out the H&R shotguns they could give us a 357 smooth bore and rifled barrels on a 410 frame, that would be a useful firearm.
They really should have taken the extra step to put a shotgun appropriate sight on this gun. A simple bead would have been enough, get rid of the rear sight altogether. I splurged & put a Ranger Point Precision peep on the dovetail rail. ;) Haven't shot it with the peep yet so not sure if the front sight is of any use or needs to modified/removed. I tapped the rear blade sight out.
I did not know about the rifled barrel issue with shot patterns - I learned something. My dad cussed that shot shell as ineffective, guess we know why!
having had a remington .22 smooth bore, Ill take a 410, these are far less versatile and the ammo is expensive. had they made this in 357 or 44 it would be far more useful, as you can buy the shot cups and load your own. a 22 over 410 savage will give you the best of both worlds.
That might actually be an idea, homemade 22 shot shells by pulling the lead. I can’t find 22 shot shells anywhere this year and the carpenter bees are starting to swarm. I’m going to see about a pound of #12 shot now.
Plenty of folks like me that live in the suburbs on 1/4 acre lots who have occasional need to dispatch rats but don’t want to poke holes in our neighbors or even our neighbors’ fences
