OMG I feel so bad for them. And let me say it is traumatic & painful to leave your home when your a child. I know! I'm so glad that they have successful lives. They did so well better than anyone else who grew up in similar circumstances would have.

Just finished the Hill Children's book. Unreal! These kid are fighters. They have made their way DESPITE Maniac Henry. Kids...if you're seeing this, Don't second guess yourselves. Even though your family was highly dysfunctional, your parents taught you directly AND indirectly through their grave mistakes and crazy decisions, to not only SURVIVE in this rough world, but to PREVAIL. Your mother was a kind soul but very tough in her way..and extremely resourceful...you got that from her. From your father, you are experts at spotting bullshitters and grifters. It was a rough and odd way to grow up, but I think despite this, you are NOT drug addled losers, you are not quitters...From your father and mother, you learned Jungle Survival skiils...God Bless You guys...Great job overcoming this F'd up upbringing Matt

The Book was extremely well written! Thank God for your Bobbie! Rock solid Lady. I would love another book! You were very normal kids n a F'd situation. We would have been great friends. Your Brooklyn-Queens accents are indecipherable. I'm a master at detecting it..I'd never take youse for New Yawkas...I'm so sorry you had to endure this Bullshit but you guys are stronger for it. You're a very tough kid, Gregg. Gina, you're a warm and loving lady. You both are good looking well put together folks. God bless... Hug your Kids! Matt

I really enjoyed this book tearful joyful ending for these kids. Henry put them threw hell. In the end they over came and did well for themselves.

It's remarkable that they turned out as well-adjusted as they did. Gott give credit both to them and, I would think, Karen. Can't imagine they would have gone on to lead the lives they have without a fair amount of consistent nurturing and maternal love.

Thats a very hard life for the children. There was this Italian Mafia man who dared snich about Toto Rina ,his kids had to move countries and city. His kid said that every time he made some friends they had to move.

@amiblack8294

The least Henry Hill could have done was to apologize to his children, ask for their forgiveness for the chaotic childhood they had as a result of his choices. This doesn't necessarily mean a reconciliation; sometimes it's enough to obtain closure and to facilitate forgiveness.

Hill wrote at least 2 books and had a movie made about him. What does that say about American society that such a bad person could gain celebrity, and even wealth from being such a bad person.

We lived around the corner from "Uncle Jimmy" had some interaction as kids. Jimmy used to drive by us and wave. Knew Frankie & Jesse. Moved to .Long Island in 1980. Right Next to Elmont & Valley Stream. Have a lot of friends in RVC Great town. Thank God your mother was more grounded. Very good mama. You guys should be so proud of yourselves. I wish I could write ✍ to you. But Atkeast I have this forum. You done good matt

One smart thing that the Hill kids did and Karen was after this they stayed out of the spotlight. Using different alias no one knows where Karen is unless you have Boomer parents that are friends with Gina or Gregg. Karen was smart and never has come out even when Goodfellas came out.
