I only started watching the series for Tom and Benedict, but it introduced me to a new world of brutality and honesty, betrayal and loyalty, and corruption and fear. Truly a great series, and you've encapsulated the stories of Henry V and Richard III perfectly 😌

Great series! It was ignored by almost all television companies around the world. The great Shakespeare is almost forgotten! And not only him. Lately, almost all the world classics have been forgotten. Strange people are making movies like this everywhere: either comic books, or a parody of fantasy, or a parody of history. And if they take the classics as the basis for the script, they film it with such bad actors and costumes that it’s impossible to watch. And it was crazy for me to read about the strike of writers and actors in Hollywood... The writing is disgusting, most of the actors play poorly and why should they be paid more? Finding a good film now is a rare success. Therefore, it is with great pleasure that I am reviewing this series; even taking into account some blunders, it contains amazing acting and great poetry!

One of the reasons British dramas are so superior to Hollywood is the BRILLIANT casts… from the leading roles to a single scene there are so many incredibly talented actors working together. This has become something I expect; however, the cast for this series is MIND BLOWING… it’s a who’s who of the best UK talent. I have mixed feelings about the UK role in the world. Their empire building on steroids in the 18th and 19th centuries have played a huge role in the troubles we face today in the Middle East. Even as they returned India to the native population Churchill made a back room deal to create Pakistan in order to get their hands on the oil displacing people who lived in places for generations and causing millions of people to lose everything including their lives. They made a similar back room deal in Iran in the 50’s ousting a democratically elected leader because he had the AUDACITY to want 50% of the oil profits to stay in Iran… but Churchill was only offering 10% which The Shah of Iran was fine with so they installed him! However, the amazing creative talent the UK has given to the world in music, fashion, and theatre starting around the mid 20th century cannot be denied. I don’t know if there’s something in the water but so much talent coming out of such a small country is remarkable! A lot of Americans who don’t watch British movies and series aren’t even aware of the number of successful actors they know from American movies and tv shows are from the UK; probably because the do much better with American accents than American actors do with British accents!

This has got to be a strong contender for your best edit. A great choice of song, and you’ve made a masterpiece out of the material.

Ok I haven’t seen this show yet but it looks absolutely stunning. It’s on my list now, thank you. ☺️ This video is gorgeous. Also, I have a song suggestion/request if you are interested. I haven’t seen Patrick Melrose yet either (i really need to lol), but I know the generic plot/summary. There is a beautiful song called “Little Pistol” by Mother Mother. It can be a bit tricky to understand (I had to look up the meaning for a few parts), but it’s essentially about someone who endured childhood abuse that now haunts them as an adult and causes them to fear the world and people around them and to destroy their relationships with others. At some parts in the song, it sounds like the mind of the person is erratic, and it will often change the beat of the song when that happens. At the end, they find someone they can be with (the “burning rose”) and are able to pack away their “little pistols”, which is a metaphor for their depression and defensiveness (?). (There is more meaning to other parts of the song, I can’t remember it all right now haha, you might have to look it up 😊) So, I thought it fit well with Patrick Melrose. But I haven’t actually seen the show. So, I could be totally wrong lol. I just wanted to suggest a song to you. Have a nice day! I love your videos.
