@@maxthescarecrow4038 He stated once that he hasn't "strong religious beliefs" but also isn't an "Atheist". Proberly due to US Americans weird take on religious - But it's kinda like his "I don't eat something with hooves or claws" and then sittin' at this "Hot Chicken Wing" show, eating Chicken Wings ;) He's pretty "fluid" and that's not wrong. Sometimes change is something good and sometimes you've ideas which seem as a good idea but you realize later "Yeah, that's not 100% my thing.".
Rollins just does his shit quietly, under the radar for decades, and finally the world (i.e., RU-vid) catches up with him and racks up hundreds of thousands of views on each of the videos featuring him. The perfect example of cream rising to the top.
There was nothing quiet about how Rollins did his shit in the 90's. Dude is absolutely obsessed with himself. His "spoken word" was just him talking about himself and his opinions for like 10 years straight. Just a straight up narcissist without a single original thought in his head.
I was around in the '90s...not everyone was an asshat like Bill Maher. It's a good time capsule if you want to see what a jackass he's always been, but it's not indicative of popular opinion at the time...not in any way, shape, or form...I get what you're saying, but the people shown don't embody the opinions of anyone I knew at the time.
@@NeonNights80 No. The democrats want there to be Clan presence to leverage an agenda. They want Nazis around. They want to be able to pin these labels to their political enemies to leverage their agenda. That's why everyone to the right of Bill Maher is called racist, sexist, bigoted, homophobic, alt-right literally Hitler. Its lost them one election but now lets see if this primitive and regressive tactic can lose another one.
Holy shit... i cant believe this was recorded.i watched this live! I actually remember being called from another state by an uncle, who made me a rollings fan (he followed black flag back in the 80s) telling me he was on tv and to watch this show. So much memories. RIP Uncle Mordecai
The look on Henry's face after Bill reveals his support for statutory rape. You can tell that he's kind of just given up at that point, like why am I here and when is this over.
Jesus Christ, The Portable Henry Rollins book is almost twenty years old. I still have that thing on my bookshelf and totally forgot how long ago it came out. Time warp.
Same here but he couldnt barely get a word in. As I'm typing this this bill maher actually mentioned 'how is it rape if he gets an erection?' Females can orgasm during rape but it doesn't mean they like it. It's body chemistry. Like stubbing your toe in a church and saying God damn it, ... You might not want to but it's a natural reaction. Maher is a duche, long live king henry.
The entire panel is wrong????? Kid was 14, no matter the gender, if you’re 14 you’re not ready for a family and can’t have a deep relationship with someone who’s much older than you.
I find it funny that Henry's caption describing him on the show, is - musician. He's not a musician. He's a vocalist, a lyricist and an iconic front man.
The Klan is about as relevant as the Neo-Nazi's. Sell a little merch, say some hateful stuff, maybe do a rally but other than that, they haven't done nearly as much harm as their predecessors. Seriously, you can go on the Klan website and buy coffee mugs. They're not doing much these days.
Henry was physically HUGE back then (his largest for sure), but he was also not very political back then and tended to be more quiet and smiley. Today he's the exact opposite. He's thin, very political, very long winded (talks A LOT) and is very serious.
I noticed that a lot of his smiling seems very fake & forced, like maybe he doesn't really want to be there...? For example, pause at 5:53 & tell me that's not a forced, phony ass smile lol 😃
+Roy Poud no you're not wrong, imo. He usually does seem like a pretty genuine person. Just in this interview he seems a little uncomfortable & some of his smiling seems forced, that's all 😊
25 years later and Bill still doesn't understand how much commercials break up flow of real conversations. He has gotten better at studying his guests before they show up.
This an amazing watch, some 20 years later, now in the era of #MeToo and all the other shit going on today, this episode has a lot of eerie foreshadowing, irony/hypocrisy, etc. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
@@madbun1312 I don't have a problem with that. It's not what I would ever do (women have made it clear they don't want me that close to them, much less touching or smooching on them), but I don't care if other dudes do it. As long as the women don't object (and these two did not pull away, in fact they leaned right in). Not sure what your beef with it is? There's bigger problems than greeting pecks going on... But if you want something "sexist" to gripe on, you could cite Maher calling Kennedy "kitten"... there's something a bit cringe about "pet names" like that.
@Swiatek702 That was the point of my comment Sherlock. To be glaringly obvious. Clearly that went right up and over your little head, didn't it? You still didn't get the point of my original post either. All I'll say is if I was the host of a show called "Politically Incorrect" I definitely would try my best to be an insufferable boor. It would get a lot more views. Clearly it got yours. Dumbass.
supermot34 because one happened 20 years ago in a not particularly high profile episode of a talk show and one happened in the social media age and was perpetrated by a diet nazi? also people seem p upset about it here
So in general it's obviously wrong for a much older person to be sexually engaged with a much younger person, especially when one of the people is 14. However in this case the absolute proves wrong which is why we should absolutely avoid absolutes. Laws are fine, but they have to be flexible and have exceptions. That being said, I have known some incredibly mature fourteen year old kids of both genders that would probably be better parents than a great many of the so called adults having kids in their 20's and 30's (or later, the sick wackos!) A lot of a people never mature to the point where they should be allowed to breed and screw up the next generation. Universal birth control for both genders - recreation without procreation is the best! But the boys still gotta wrap it up so we don't catch anything. AIDS, herpes, and other STD's might not kill us anymore, but carrying that shit around forever has gotta suck!
@@DennisMoore664 But at 14 you're fucking anyway. I mean unless you're really ugly. Sex drive tapers off after puberty. So if anything you're more likely to be sexually active at 14 than, say 40. And then after puberty, women hit that 2nd wave of epic horniness in their 30's. Clearly biology doesn't give a shit what we think lol
Roger Essig it was a different era and these things weren't as well defined biblically but Milo wasn't just stating an opinion and btw Maher was fired from this job. The court of public opinion is why Milo skunk away, and Bill went through that, the difference was Bill stood his ground.
Henry, considering the events in Charlottesville this past week I really really wish you'd been right in 1998. 19 years later and we're still dealing with these fuckers.
The media? What kind of ambiguous shit is that? Is the media in charge of CPAC? Do you think the media controls Breibart? He was disinvited because a conservative group dropped him and Breitbart dropped him.
The media (or at least what I suspect you mean with that sweeping generalization) did hold Bill to the same standards. This show on late-night network television was cancelled and now he's on HBO making obscene amounts of money and don't give a fuuuuuuck. I guess he's doing something right.
It's funny how people are saying now that Bill Maher is drifting towards the right. Bull, he was always there and he's just now transitioning from right to extreme right.
