Nice. With that 22" barrel theoretically 900 yd shots are possible. Henry's are known to be tack drivers. I hope you got your trigger guard in the mail. Thanks for the nice unboxing video.
other than that 1 little superficial knick fit an finish look great on that rifle. I think im gonna pull the trigger on one of these. think im gonna go for the 308.
One thing I don’t understand is if these rifles are single shot hunting rifles, why not give us a light trigger pull and an ejector? It’s so easy for these companies to do but for some reason they just don’t do what would be the best for their customers.
Please do a follow up on how long it took to answer your email. I have found them to ultra fast and ultra clear communications. They have the best folks in the industry working for them IMHO. Please post a follow up.
Love Henry Rifles but can’t say much about there quality control. Purchased two Henry’s and both had to be returned with big scratches staring you in the face when I opened the box’s
Question, what is the length of it when disassembled. Is the longest part the barrel at 22 inches? Im in an apartment complex and there are some gun backpacks I have thought about getting and I was curious if this would fit.
I knew it was not loaded, I always check even if I don’t show it on video. Plus no one really handled it before me because I had to order this rifle. It was not just laying around at a shop.
Yes, that's true!! One of the two paper tags attached to the trigger guard in this video is an inspection card that has the initials of 4 or 5 different individuals that were responsible for inspecting various parts of the rifle before shipping. Next to each category and set of initials is a box that the inspector must put a check mark on indicating that person also checked for ammo in the chamber. So, special order or not, several people handled the rifle and checked to see if it was loaded, and you too should be one of them.
Seth Melancon I did check way before, I don’t know why everyone makes a big deal when people don’t safety check in videos. It’s not like anyone who watches can get hurt 😞. They don’t say anything when your doing a shooting video 🤷🏽♂️.
Years ago, I was about to buy a single shot NEF 45-70 but the salesperson mentioned that it might not be fun. So I bought the single shot NEF 20 gauge youth model instead. I love my NEF and it's a fun gun but could also be a serious wilderness survival weapon.
I own one but it will be the LAST henry that I ever purchase, shame really but they wasted hours of my time with customer service bs looking for the same model in a different caliber at so called guaranteed websites..Nope, so never again.
I had been searching for one for a couple of months. Ended up getting an H&R Handi .223 for $250 in great shape. Will still be on the lookout for these. Kinda wanna get one in 45-70 🤔
I ha e this in 357 ,I put a 3x9x40 crimson trace scope on it ,love this gun Henry makes a great rifle I had to remove my back sight to install the scope have fun with your new rifle
@@AK74Man87 Ok. I was just getting the impression you thought you needed a scope for long range. I see people shoot single shot out to 600 to 800 yards all the time with a heavy 45-70 545 grain bullets with great accuracy. Using Tang aperture sights. That's my idea of shooting. For me the scope spoils it. Thanks
Brian Lee Nope don’t need it, I have two rifles that have scopes. The two that do are meant for scopes no iron sights, my 308 Savage and a 17hmr Marlin. I wanted something in 223 with a scope.
So it's a good deer 🦌 rifle and maybe small Javilinas and small wild hogs. For say shooting less than 70 yard's with the Iron sights, as is right out of box!?!? My other !?!?!? Says 223/5.56 👌 so does that mean it can shoot two types of bullets/ammo 🤔 If so, I don't Kno. Anyone!?!?
@@AK74Man87 thanks for the info. Maybe another if you can. What is the difference between 223 and 5.56 NATO as they call it. Is the 5.56 has More power at impact. Bigger bullet/cartridge and can it go further, more speed or better accuracy etc!?!? I only have 25 acres of land. This rifle would be great for want I got. Ok hopefully I hear from you soon 👏 ok
@@AK74Man87 oh. So I figure by that that 223 is good for 🦌 deer hunting and Javilinas. An the 556 NATO maybe better for the Wild Hogs. 556 good shot for behind the ear of a large Hog and better for a medium to small Hog. Right!?!? My place is alot of thick dense Brush and openings here and there drive thru small senderos in all. And a couple of Meadows. Shots I'll be taking about 70 yard's at the most and on average. About 25 to 40 yards for sure. What You think!?!?
A better load for straight wall cartridge restricted states, and a nice load for all the rest. I think it’s good for any level hunter and maybe the best yet for new or smaller folks. Savage has a decent xp in350L but for the same money I’d rather hold a piece of American walnut than a Tupperware gun.
Not legal on most states forest225. But should be. Problem is the public thinks they’re silent hit man stuff. Too much tv. And the don’t stop to think how many deer die already without anyone likely hearing the shot- it’s called archery
I just bought one in 450 Bushmaster, beautiful gun. I do not live in one of those states that require straight walled cartridges but the 450 is a great woods cartridge. I have this thing for single shot rifles and decided to get another rifle in 450.
I would not even worry about the trigger mechanism.... If you hunt with the gun, it will get scratched and beat up. Oh, yeah. You shoot holes in paper.
Rick Meadows really, who cares what I do with it. Plus we’re not allowed to use necked down rifle calibers in my state only straight wall. So even if I wanted to I can’t.
William Breuer Who cares, I was in the basement and no one watching can get shot. Plus I always check before I make videos, every one has to be a safety sally.
