This is a guide on how to get all the fails in the triple threat ending in the final episode Completing the mission (CtM). There are various reference here for games such as Fortnite, Minecraft and for the Anime series Dragon Ball Z. This also has a failed Charles Greatest plan.
Triple Threat is one of the sixteen endings in Completing the Mission. It involves Henry & Ellie teaming up with Charles to stop the rocket from launching.
The ending can be achieved after choosing Government Supported Private Investigator and Convict Allies endings.
Playerunknown's Battleground - In Completing the Mission, Ellie's injured animation, and Henry's searching scene are from PUBG.
The Fusion option is a reference to the Dragon Ball series, in which two characters perform this to become a more powerful entity. The battle between Ellry and Kabbitz is also reminiscent of the fight scenes shown in Dragon Ball Z, and the shot of Henry and Ellie laying in the crater is similar to Yamcha's infamous pose in the Saiyan arc where he was killed by a Saibamen.
Because of the overall “Dragon Ball-esque” nature of the Fusion option, Kabbitz is implied to be a reference to Raditz from Dragon Ball Z, aside from the name being similar.
His hat's crown is yellow, which could also allude to the Super Saiyan transformation in the Dragonball franchise where one's power increases as their hair changes to golden color.
When using the Swap option, the player will hear what sounds like monkeys hooting in the background. This is a direct reference to the same sounds Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong make when swapping between them in the Donkey Kong Country series. The Barrel option is also a reference to the Donkey Kong Country series.
Wings is an option in Completing the Mission during the Triple Threat and Pardoned Pals/Toppat Recruits pathway. Henry and Ellie fly down with wings on their arms to swoop into the rocket, but they fly into the rocket itself and fall off, landing unceremoniously on the ground, which results in a fail. This is a reference to the Birdman bonus mode of Pilotwings 64.
When used, the whole world gets "Downgraded" to a lower quality, and cannot be reversed. Guns also become unusable due to the downgrade.
Completing the Mission is the sixth and final installation in the Stickpage/Newgrounds popular online game series Henry Stickmin created by Marcus "Puffballs United" Bromander. It released with the Henry Stickmin Collection on Steam on August 7th, 2020.
Ellry is a fusion between Henry Stickmin and Ellie Rose. The character is seen in "Completing the Mission", only in the Fusion option during the Triple Threat pathway.
