Stand name: 「Tribute」 Localized name: 「Reference」 Stand user: Henry Stickmin Power: A Speed: A Range: C Durability: B Precision: A Potential: A Ability:「Tribute」 has the ability to let the user jump between timelines, it normaly activates whenever the user fails in whatever mission the user was trying to acomplish but it can also be activated manually or by punching a person who the user decides to take with him to the other timeline. whenever a person\Object is taken to the alternative timeline, they will take the form they would have in that time line, this will not affect memory or the opponetn's 「Stand」
Having the Right Hand Man say "Time in a Bottle" but have the subtitles read "Bottled Time" is probably the best joke about JoJo's localization I've ever heard
And the Mr. Macbeth fight has a reference to the “No dignity” line from one of the terrible Part 4 fan-translations when you choose “Bribe” in the “Act” button of said fight!
@@smileguyanimations8776 i don't know if this is what you meant but this video shows all the jojo references: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yDd5v1prTpQ.html
This... Was a fully animated, drawn out scene. So many assets have to have been spent on this, and yet... Its all just a reference and complicated way of saying "you lose because anime characters are too op"
They actually stayed in the traditional path let alone how “anime” is “supposed” to be made and how it must be animated unlike Mappa that does it the *ILLEGAL* way
@@thatguy8777 Yeah but it doesn't necessarily mean that Henry is talking through the stand. It could be like with GER where GER is able to speak and act autonomously from Giorno
darn, i just realized that Henry’s stand was the reason he was able to switch to himself to different timelines every time he fails, he’s just like a better version of killer queen’s Bites the Dust. his stand power is so strong it could Rival the power of a Jojo antagonist, imagine him landing a single hit on King Crimson then suddenly Diavolo gots switched with an alternate Diavolo where he doesn’t have his stand King Crimson.
Yes Yes Yes it doesn’t? i thought it just couldn’t since his stand made the mistake of thinking the enemy got his power using cybernetic enhancements or something.
His stand looks like Golden experience with Sticky Finger's color palette, and the mixed ability of D4C and whitesnake I hope Puffballs release the official stats though, let's just assume it has an B in power
I love how "time is a bottle" was a song back then and how it got renamed to "bottled time" It makes it so much more jojo then it already is just finding out about that aaa

I love how he just gives up trying to speak Japanese some times "Tiny fisto no stop me" like he just couldn't get a good translation and just said "yeah put an accent on that'll do it"

ight i think i know how "Reference" works its basically like a requiem stand in the sense that it manipulates souls like SCR and GER. So its got two abilities. The first one being that the stand can swap with its user. The second being its more stronger ability in that it can swap other people with alternate versions of themselves. Basically, their soul stays in the current universe their in, while their body is switched with one from an alternate universe. The catch is that Reference's user needs to know whether or not that version of that user is reasonably possible (it can't just replace the enemy with a crippled version of himself unless the user knows of a decision that the enemy could've taken that would've resulted that way. say that the enemy was mere seconds away from getting their arm blown off, but reacted in time before that happened. If the user of reference knew of this possibility, he could replace the enemy with a version that doesn't have an arm). One limitation of this ability, however is that the user may bring in a version of the enemy that can put the user at a disadvantage (say after the enemy lost his arm, he was able to stroheim it into a more dangerous one, or in this case, Henry brought back a version of right hand man who still had their stand because Henry assumed that the stand was tied to RHM's augmentations). btw i think the non-local name of Reference would probably be Cameo after the band and its ability to allow the user to "make cameos" by swapping with his stand and swapping enemies with alternate versions of themselves
More than a mix of ger and CR it's more like D4C with the capacity of ger of change places with his respective user. But considerating the ability of ger, that is deny accions and results whithin space and time, i don't see it very compatible with ger. Sorry for my "engrish" tho
so that explains why RHM still has his stand even though he got swapped to an alternate version of himself, since stands are connected to the soul, it wont go away even though you're in a different timeline
I just realized... Right Hand Man's usage of "Time in a Bottle" in the alternate timeline when he's been stripped of his augmentations due to the alternate history implies that he always had his Stand, even in Infiltrating the Airship, as his history would likely have been a very different trajectory in the event of not being defeated, likely removing the Stand-creating event.
Henry to the bullet:"oh,so you're approaching me" The bullet:"I can't kill you without getting closer" Henry:"oh,than come as close as you'd-" And thus Henry's last words were spoken
I was thinking Henry’s stand was gonna be like (PART 5 SPOILERS) “you will never find a true end” or something like that what golden experience requiem did to Diavolo
I think the funniest thing is that Time In a Bottle is the name of an actual song by Jim Croce and the fact they localized it to Bottled Time makes it feel like an actual JoJo Stand
To be continued: Time resumes before he can shoot, why you ask? His monologue took too long, [Reference] grabs him by the neck and proceeds to do a beatdown and wins.
no one talks about how since stands are supposed to have the same voice as their user so reference has the same voice as Henry, so we heard an entire script of Henry talking.
Interesting notes about henry's stand This stand appears to require cybernetic augmentations to summon considering henry assumed RHM stand wouldn't have the stand in the time line where he never got augmentations. Its main ability is to punch people into alternate time lines. The user is capable of following them into the time line. Both the user and target take the attrubutes of the version of themselves from that time line. Despite henry not having augmentations in the other timeline he keeps Reference meaning while augmentations are required to summon the stand they are not required to keep the stand It also has another seemingly unrelated power of switching places with its user.
They're both to do with swapping something's place. Henry swapped places with Tribute and then RHM swapped places with an alternate self. ... Or the first punch was just Tribute swapping to a timeline where he hit RHM.
Stand name: The Loophole Localized Name: The reference Song reference: Garfunkel and Oates On June 25, 2013, the duo released their music video "The Loophole", a song about Christian girls retaining their technical virginity by performing anal sex; Garfunkel and Oates assert that practitioners say this is not specifically forbidden in the Bible. Stand user: Henry Stickming Power S Speed S Range B Durability: F- Precision A potential: S++ Passive: 「Stick in time」When user punches an entity said entity will switch himself with an alternate version of himself at henry's will. Ability: 「I was the one who took the final napkin! or was I?」, user can clone himself up to 4 times, User can also Switch places with an alternate timeline version of himself at will at any time no cooldowns, User can switch bodies with the clones and henry can manipulate said clones. Moves: Barrage: 「Alternate Barrage」 , this move will switch entity/ opponent with any alternate timeline version of said entity/ opponent at henry Other worldy Pun: a move that will send opponent through a portal and will make him switch with an AU version or teleports him to a different place
Reference is literally star platinum (minus the timestop) + D4C (with having to punch an opponent to send them to alternate universes instead of putting the between two solid objects). and of course the ability to swap places with Henry and being possibly a pilot stand as we see it going after RHM into the alternate universe without Henry.
Looking at this fight and the stands powers. If the reference can quite literally punch a man's consciousness and breakthrough space and time Henry could have easily overpowered Time Bottle's powers. However, not all cool things get success in henry stickman. Plus Henry underestimated his opponent which caused his defeat. If henry would have paid attention he could have just trapped him in there instead of sending him to a parallel world. But wait. If this guy half-robot version and his normal person switched places how does it make sense that his cybernetic body disappeared and only his consciousness? secondly, if he was thrown into a wormhole how the fk does his stand work as it should have gone haywire because of the constant time switches he must have gone through and it shouldn't have got him a win over henry as the stand clearly states that in this world He doesn't know who Henry is which again in itself is quite confusing to understand as this is not a success option otherwise we could have got a bit more context as to what did the stand do to em. In the end, if somebody who has understood this stand please tell me what even happened to this guy. I personally feel that this guy shouldn't have got this win over him
