This season Trent has more clearances than Walker, Rodri, Robertson. He has more Interceptions than ruben dias, saliba, gabriel, gvardiol, walker, Rodri, Maguire, Trippier, Mainoo. He is 3rd in the whole league in last man tackles. He has more tackles than Ruben dias, Robertson, ajer, Walker to name a few. And he has only played 28 games. I actually agree. I think Rice/Trent/Bellingham would be lethal as a midfield 3. Rice holding, Trent there to ping passes left and right to the wingers and Bellingham box to box.

I think it would be a better fit for Trent to play RB and Walker to play alongside Stones in the centre of defence. Maguire is far too ponderous on the ball (especially at International level)

Out of all of the top leagues in Europe no defender has been dribbled past more than Trent. Why would you want him in your starting line up? No matter what he brings going forward his a liability and that risk isn’t worth taking when you have so many other talented players.

If Palmer doesn't fit in with Foden, Saka, Kane Bellingham and Rice it will be criminal. Trent doesn't deserve to start after his lack of playing and be risked in that midfielder role. Palmer should slot in the left flank in my opinion with Foden in the left side just behind as a attacking midfielder, most have free roaming anyway. Left back is a great concern for us

Trent hasn't been good consistently for a long time. He's been average this season and poor in 22/23. He's had a 4 weeks period of good form at the end of November this season and done very little outside of that. The same in 22/23, he had a good spell at the end of the season but outside of that he was poor. Even in 20/21, he was quite poor. His last run of good form over a few months was the first half of 21/22. He's also never been good consistently for England.

TAA who had 2 assists more than Reece James last season and was constantly at fault for a lot of mistakes that were basically helped out by the keepers and his pass completion rate is less than 80% he’ll probably be left out like usual
