Very nice. Patience and the timing of the release are both so important. Good to hear Jerry’s commentary for folk who have never trained horses. This approach is the difference between “breaking” a horse and “starting” a horse. The new owner will appreciate that this horse is just that much easier to catch due to these foundational sessions. Good work by all.

We had horses and so did one of my uncles when I was a girl. My and my cousins best memories are from then. I am really impressed with your foals. They learn so fast and calm down quickly. Your views of the ranch from horseback are spectacular. Keep up the sharing. It is appreciated.

Henson's training style is a joy to observe. I felt like I was right there mentally connecting with that lovely colt. As foaling manager on our horse farm the babies and all ground work was my job. I loved every minute good and bad. I miss it all so much. Watching this is like therapy for me.

Awesome Job Guys. You guys are a great example to novice horse people. Henson can really read a horse well. If people could learn its about influence and not control. Its about getting the horse to trust leadership and not about dominating the horse. For folks out there that thinks anyone can do it, You can if you put in the years of trial and error. Not everyone is born with natural ability. To develop timing and feel takes years and a lot of corrective criticism from more knowledgeable horsemen. Be humble and have a heart for the horse that's my advice to anyone wanting to grow as a horseman.

That is impressive. Would like to see more educational videos. In other videos I am always impressed with how easy your horses load on to the trailer. It would be good to see your approach to introducing the trailer loading to a young horse. Thankyou for the videos they are entertaining and educational.

Loved this! I rode horses since a young girl but never got trained to train which I always wanted to do. Oh to be younger once again...

Very nice and so enjoyable even for those of us who will never need to use any of it. It changes how I view interactions between horse and people. We a; know horses need training, but how many of us really know how early it starts and the minute details that can take hours! Just alone a horse j walking across different services. I never gave it much thought because I expected all horses to act crazy and fearful without much reason. Not true though! It happens mostly when horses have never experienced it. Thanks Danielle, Henson, and Jerry. Felt like I was hanging out with family... :)

Nice step-by-step information, Jerry! You have a very soothing, pleasant voice to follow and absorb all this content. The Nebraska man will have a jump start on ground work with the foal. I think a dog and a horse sense the "aura" or field boundary of the other's presence and Mother Nature works her wonders. Lincoln is a real working hand on the ranch. Trying to catch up on all your videos. Could Jerry explain the breed of this colt? I heard him say "Dakota" or "Hunting."
