Puzzle me this.. For years I have donated blood to Vitalalant every 8 weeks. Never tested positive fot Hep B. Last two donations showed the Hep C anti bodies. Vitalant will NOT accept my whole blood because I have anti bodies. Why is this??

Madam,my sister infect HBV,all test are done expect DNA and Altrsound scanning,if the result showing LFt and others are normal but AntiHBE AG is reactive, and HBEAG negative this means viras infection high or low ,please replay madam
From what u are telling me, it seems that the infection has settled. HBe Ag is negative means that she is not in infective stage, is less likely to transmit infection to others. HBe Ab (Anti HBe) positive is a good thing. HBs Ag negative means that there is no present infection. But in clinical real life scenarios many things are to be seen apart from just lab results. I m Just answering yr question base on the info provided by you . Plus this video is basically for medical students, for educational purpose.
@@rinkalgujral4853 It means the patient has active Hep B infection as HBsAg positive. Although not in a very infective stage (less likely to transmit to others at this stage) as HBeAg negative
