TOTAL clarity with your explanation. Not just what you're physically doing, but backstory, sidebars, process, AND your very caring bedside manner. Well done. Fascinating and informative.
That's so interesting, and you are so very professional and we can see you care about the well-being of the sweet cow. Bless you and thanks for being so nice with her.
it amaze's me how pain one cow can withstand before requiring help. i just to hope to god that she make a full recovery please please give us an update on her as soon as you can thank you
I've set it before in my videos. Cows are a prey animal and therefore it's in their genetics to hide pain or weakness 😔 It goes back to hiding vulnerability to predators. If they only knew telling us sooner, we would help them sooner 🤷♂️
It amazes me at how much cloven hooves animals can withstand pain in their feet (cows, moose, deer, goats and so on) I’ve seen farm animals with severe hoof deformation still walking as they adapt to the injury until it can be dealt with. I just wish people would learn to understand that farm animals are generally well cared for and looked after as this is usually a farms livelihood. Walking in poop, wallowing in mud holes, walking on rough terrain is all part of life on a farm. Injuries happen and people like Aaron come and deal with those injuries to hooves and help repair and heal them. Animals have a much different pain tolerance than humans so comparing an animal to a human is like comparing the Sun and moon it’s literally night and day on how animals handle injury compared to us whiny, Disney princesses.
Very good comment! Also alot of people watch a video of a bad foot and think that all the cows are like that but don't realize we trim 100s of cows and video 1 bad one. I make lots of videos of good feet but they don't pull any views 🤷♂️
I really respect how you take into account how they are in pain and are so extra careful. I also love how you go see how the cow is doing and talk to them and pet them. You are so empathetic.
Listen I’m no animal lover but I also don’t want to see anyone or any animal in pain. These men and women who do this job are truly doing the Lord’s Work here on earth. So happy to see you fix this poor hurting creature
Thank goodness for people like you. Your kindness toward the cow shows in the quality of your work. Interesting, educational and heartwarming. Thank you!
Thanks for the blister explanation. Was just thinking you have shown us some fairly severe winter conditions in prior years. I hope the cold snaps were doable and you all are o.k. You have said that when the fluid releases, often the pain goes away. That cow virtually strolled out of the chute. Nice work. Appreciate the glimpse of the outdoors and didn't see frost on the interior walls...
The strawberry milk line was hilarious, I will never look at strawberry milk the same way again😂she was so patient in the crush Aaron, that surely would of been painful for her, thank you Aaron for another brilliant video, you're freezing cold, and I'm stinking hot! So I'll just watch the snow in your video to keep me cool😂take care Aaron!👍💙🐄
Love to watch this, never knew that it was needed, but after watching, I can see that it is definitely a good thing to do as a routine maintenance for these animals
I appreciate ALL the details and information you provided in this video..I also truly appreciate how you are concerned about her comfort and advising that she's not in pain. Great video and information ,👍👍😊😊
I'm from Wisconsin originally and now live in Arizona. It snows once and while where I live. I certainly don't miss Wisconsin winters... I remember my Uncle George talking to and patting his cows just like that.
Wow.. the complete breakdown on everything you were doing, the explanations of what certain terminology used is, the analysis of the problem and why it was caused / what the fix is, was honestly amazing. Really good job. And you petting the cow / showing her off was great 😄 really fascinating, informative, and fun to watch video !
Thank you! And I still get tore up about hurting them no matter how much I show it doesn't 🤦♂️ I've lived the last 20 years of my life living to help cows world wide but apparently I still don't know what I'm doing and just hurt them 😜 the world we live in 🤷♂️ but I do appreciate people like you Sara 😊
I haven't been getting notices of your new videos, so I'm happy to see you back on my list of suggested videos! I love the way you talk with the "girls", and give them pink toe wraps, and call them "big mama"! It's so cute. You're a great trimmer!!
That was WONDERFUL of you to go pet her on the head and explain how she was perfect relaxed. Thank you so much for doing that. I always wonder what the poor cow is doing up there so that eased my mind so much. Thank you again. You must be very experienced to see one little hole in the top of the hoof and then just go way at the bottom of the hoof, cut a tiny bit and magically that serum comes shooting out the whole way through! I was amazed. She walked away on that hoof! She actually walked away on that hoof! Hahaha! Awesome sir. Thanks again for the compassion and patience you show. New Sub here!👍🪴🐄🌬️
I have to say I've never had a strawberry milk blister and I've had some dandies on my hands and the back of my ankles from new shoes. Just clear fluid. But then I guess I'm not a heifer with hoof horn, just maybe a few callouses from physical work. Now I'm retired and have soft hands again, even though replacing my Ariens shear bolt this morning got those clean hands dirty again. LOVE your videos, wish there were MORE of them MORE often.
Your channel was just in my recommendations and I had to sub. I've been watching Nate the Hoof Guy for a few years. I enjoy hearing the surrounding sounds of the barn in Nate's videos and yours! I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos!
Great video. Been a fan for a minute now. It's strange that hoof trimming just popped up on my list one day, next thing I know, here I am looking forward to each video. God bless...
