I can't understand why Kalin, the slave girl, was so worried the people who sold her into slavery were looking to find her. Seems that as far as they'd know, what they wanted to happen, happened. she was sold into slavery and is a slave. Also, as the story is wrapping up and they're fighting two other spacecraft, there was no understanding of Newtonian physics. When you cut your engines in outer space, you don't free-fall, no inertia, no gravity, remember?
