Blue Lips is taken from debut album 'Invitation to Her's', out now on Heist or Hit. Available on LP, CD, & Digital Download: radi.al/Invitat... / thatbandofhers / thatbandofhers / thatbandofhers
It just sucks, they had 21 songs only 21, they were going on tour and soon to release a third album and more singles, have a career, probably get popular, and it all got ended by some drunk driver.
This song was about Laura Palmer from Twin Peaks. Im sure they had alot of inspiration from that show. Also band being named Hers. The word "her" is used alot in the show. Who knows maybe the band is named after Her
@@lycanthrope7279 Curious, where's the source of this info? I've heard them mention Twin Peaks a bit but would love to read/hear more about this song's specific connection.
PowerPoint Master I feel ya bro. It sucks and my hearts hurts for them and everyday I think of them and what they could have become, but it got ended my someone else stupid decision. Rest In Peace Stephen and Audun.💙💙
This is such an odd experience...finding a band and liking a lot of the material a whole lot as it is explored....knowing that they died recently. What a great sound and knack for delivery. I bet there would have been a much more realized style after another album or so... like an apex of comfort and creativity..who knows? Shame the potential ended the way it did.
@@notzyriel1971 They were touring in the U.S. and were heading to their last show. When both of the people in the band, and I think their manager, were killed in a head on collision by a drunk driver going the wrong way on a highway.
Lyrics: [Chorus] Blue lips Blue lips Blue lips [Verse 1] I've met blue lips So true they make you cold inside Two at a time But I'll miss their cold kiss Short-lived before they whisper "good night" Kill the lights [Pre-Chorus] She likes to think of you Of somebody else Now don't be, oh, so sure That you know what's next There's something on her chest [Chorus] Blue lips Blue lips Blue lips [Verse 2] Who's this stiff-lip That took you out to see more like? Cold as ice Numb with chilled lips No fool to fooling catches her eyes No surprise [Pre-Chorus] He likes to think of you Of somebody else He may seem blind and pure But don't get obsessed There's something on his chest [Chorus] Blue lips Blue lips Blue lips
Con cada canción de ellos me doy cuenta que lo más bueno y bello de la vida termina más rápido, se extingue, se desvanece, mientras que lo malo se sostiene por mucho más tiempo :c
rest in peace, you guys. i just found out about your music and i am so, so, so sorry that you both are gone. but thank you for making this beautiful music for all of us to hold onto and cherrish for eternity. ♡
here are the correct lyrics. i’ve met blue lips so true they make you curl up inside two at a time behold this cold kiss short lived before they whisper goodnight kill the lights she likes to think of you as somebody else now don’t be oh so sure that you know what’s next there’s something on her chest blue lips, blue lips who’s this stiff hips that took you out to seem more alive cold as ice armed with tulips moves fool to fool and catches their eyes no surprise he likes to think of you as somebody else he may seem prime and pure but don’t get obsessed there’s something on his chest blue lips, blue lips RIP Her’s, such talented people who’s lives tragically ended too soon. we miss you and we will forever. xx
Same here, I've had this album on repeat since they passed and I've been so sad since, but at the same time memorizing all of them and singing along. Beautiful lyrics and melodies by beautiful people. I regret not going to one of their shows :(
@@6scar911 I never realized how good this album was until I found out they died & started binge listening to this album and regret not appreciating them more. But I'm glad this album and the songs exist. I'll miss them
EVERY. SONG. IS. TOO. GOOD. WHY? You didn't disappoint me at all, Her's. EDIT: I'm so so so sorry for the bandmate's friends and family for their loss of their talented people... They may rest in peace, we all love you, The Band of Her's.
Whenever I get sad thinking about them, I always remember the mathematician Galois who died at the age of 18 years old. Tragic death, but his mathematical discoveries are still remembered to this day. Her's will go down the same path. Died at a tragically young age, but left a permanent mark on music
Is it just me or does this sound like this could be made in the 50s or 60s, also RIP an underrated duo they left this world too soon they were so unique not just in music but as a friendship too because they only met like 4 years or so prior to the crash and they just instantly clicked so different but yet similar with each other.
First, this song is so perfect.. A couple weeks ago I just found Her's songs in accident because of RU-vid recommendation by Cool With You video.. And just in a minute I listen Cool With You song, I became Her's fans because I knew that this band got a lot of great songs, and it's true.. And just in another minute, my heart was also shocked and broken because of the fact that the Duo of Her's has gone forever.. But I also know that their songs will be remembered by all of us.. Rest In Peace for one of the best Duo' Stephen Fitzpatrick and Audun Laading, and and their tour manager, Trevor Engelbrektson.. Big Loved From Me Your One Of Indonesian Fans...Cheers...
i’m a 14 year old boy and i’ve just started highschool and i talked to this girl in my english class, her name is blue, when she looks at me, her eyes sparkle and the floor vanishes from beneath me, my heart beats faster and time moves slower. this song reminds me of her, a lot. but she led me on for a couple of weeks then got a boyfriend. i’m too scared to ask where i went wrong or receive some kind of closure because i know the truth hurts and it’s none of my business either way so i guess i’ll just lay in my bed and sob to this gorgeous piece of art that we call music
A few weeks ago... This was the first song i heard from them. I was so excited at the time... I went to wikipedia to see how many albums i would have to enjoy hearing more of this music... Went directly to discography/álbum list... Saw only one... Thought to myself... "Pretty weird... Only one album... Must be a new band." Then i go to top page of wiki to see when they started... Read the small introductory paragraph... Started tearing up... Never have i ever felt so sad for people i didnt even know... But but it was like this song actually made me get to know them to a point where it was personal... Like long time friends... And reading that they passed away... I really couldnt handle it... Couldnt understand it or even accept it... Now i play this song every day... Sometimes even in repeat mode for very long times... Love this song... Will always have a special place in my heart.
You are so lucky.. by any chance do you have a recording? Apparently this was one of their underrated tracks and they played it maybe at least two times out of all their shows. Definitely wanted to go see them and hear this song live but unfortunately that won't happen :(
I've met blue lips So true they make you cold inside Two at a time But I'll miss their cold kiss Short-lived before they whisper "good night" Kill the lights She likes to think of you Of somebody else Now don't be oh so sure That you know what's next There's something on her chest (Blue lips) (Blue lips) (Blue lips) Who's this stiff-lip That took you out to see more like? Cold as ice Numb with chilled lips No fool to fooling catches her eyes No surprise He likes to think of you Of somebody else He may seem blind and pure But don't get obsessed There's something on his chest
*make you curl up inside two at a time *He may seem prime and pure *Armed with tulips (not chilled lips) *Moves fool to fool catching their eyes *Stiff hips (not lips) *Behold the cold kiss (not I miss) And many more issues I'm too lazy to fix
These are treasured songs, ones of an age that could have been. I listen to them in thought, looking up into the sky and wondering if they’re entertaining the masses up above, their soothing tones and voices echoing through the infinite like every song and artist before them. An immortal memory. A good memory to have once in a while...I miss them still.
falling in love with this group is both one of the best things that have happened to me, and one of the saddest, as I unfortunately discovered them too late... )*:
My favourite from them. I wish I appreciated them more when they were still here with us. Life is so incredibly unfair. Rest in Love Stephen, Audun and Trevor.
i've been still here without going ahead after that terrible day...whenever any song of theirs starts playing on my playlist, my heart breaks thousands of pieces...Her's death is really a great loss.😭 Rest in peace💐
One of my absolute favourite tracks, I do however need to give a big shout out to Heist or Hit, they have been bloody amazing to us fans through this tragic time, they too have suffered the massive loss of Stephen & Auden. HoH - you are diamonds xxx
Hashem Sbeitan I’m not 100% sure but Stephen said in an article that it’s about a cold or very mean person. He said it was really difficult to write lyrically. I’ll try finding more on the song for you
@@hersvideos6524 I immediately thought that's what the song was about, and he sang it in such a way, I think we've all been there at least once in our lives!
this was the song i dedicated for s/o i loved but never told him. it just too close to my heart i don't want to sob while remembering every good time we spent together with it playing in the back
I have a crush on this guy, Im sure that he knows, but i'm too scared to say anything. We live in different states so it's a little difficult, but when I saw him last it was fun and we talked every so often, but this song makes me think of him.
Go for it! Tell him! You won't regret it! I get scared too but I pushed through and asked my new crush out and got his number! It's working well so far. He actually sent me this song.. 🤗
Another year later, listening to these beautiful guys, thinking of Heist or Hit, we both said they'll be never forgotten, a bloody pandemic, and I still am so sad we can't hear more. Lots of love to staff at Heist or Hit lot xxx
I lived a time in Los Cabos, and i alredy knew Her's, but while staying, it was the first time i listened to Blue Lips, i dont live there anymore, but its nice to have a song to remind you of a place everytime you listen to it.
