The best song ever written. Made me fall in love with music. Changed my life during a dark time. I had always heard people say a certain artist they liked had died too soon, but I never experienced that until Her’s. It pained me to find out Stephen and Audun passed nearly two years prior to me finding their music. Their was so much more for them in their lives.I was really sad at first but I’ve come to the acceptance of it. I’ll be cherishing what they left behind for us until the day I die. We are coming up again on the day Her's died. I posted this story before a few times but it has been a couple years. Back in 2018, I was dating a girl who's favorite band was Her's. We lived in NoVa and they were playing in California. She really wanted to see them play so we booked a flight out and stayed in a dodgy motel because she accidentally booked the wrong AirBnB haha. We stayed in Cali for a few days and explored around before the concert. The night of the concert, we were in a really full and cozy venue, called the Brick and Mortar House. There was a bar over to the right of the stage and I saw some curtains leading back stage with people entering and leaving. One of the guys who came from the curtain went to the bar and sat down for a drink. I made my way over to the guy and struck up a conversation with the man. He turns out to be the opening act for the show, Field Trip. A small indie band who I can only describe as lofi rock. The guy seemed very nice and we had a good talk about random stuff like The Strokes and other bands. I asked if he can get a guitar pick from Her's so I can surprise my girlfriend and he said sure. He made his way backstage, and after a few minutes, I got really impatient so I snuck my way towards the back. Behind the curtain right there was Stephen. Our eyes locked and he made his way towards me and stuck out his hand. I stuck out mine and we shook hands. He introduced himself very politely, even though it was his concert lol, and I said I was really excited for the show tonight. We exchanged some pleasantries and I asked him if he happened to have a guitar pick on him. He unfortunately didn't since he didn't really use one when he performs but Audun does. He told me to find him after the show and he'll give me one. The show was amazing and they played all the songs from the two albums they had. After the show, they were by the merch stand and were signing autographs and taking pictures. I made my way over there with my girlfriend and Audun handed me a guitar pick. It was a brown/maroon guitar pick that was way bigger then any pick I was used to using for guitar. it had a guitar brand name on it as well. I immediately handed it over to my girlfriend. Was one of the fondest moments I had in my life. 6 hours later I was back on a airplane to NoVa. Some things happened later and I broke up with that girl and missed the opportunity to see them a second time. I really am not a indie type of guy, my favorite bands are Guns N'Roses, The Strokes, and Red Hot Chili Peppers but I genuinely really liked Her's. They sounded like Julian Casablancas was playing the vocals, the beat came from something like a lofi song mixed in with electric guitars. The bass Audun played sounded like Duff McKagan in the live performances and all that mixed together gave Her's that unique sound. Rest easy...

Can't believe their gone. I miss them everyday. R.i.p

I read a article two years back about what happened to them before thinking to myself "oh that's tragic, sad that this happened to whatever band this was". Rediscovered them on Spotify, fell in love, and now I'm relearning they are gone. Damn.

i watched the news about their death, i still remember clearly that a duo from england died in a traffic accident, at that time i didn't know them and never listened to their songs, yet at that time i had a deep condolences for them. but now i've listened to some of their songs, and this song is one of my favorite songs now because of the vibe that can lift my mood, but after knowing that they have left us, my view of this song is drastically change. i hope they rest in paradise ❤

As I listened to Her’s more I asked myself when would they start releasing new music so I looked them up and learned of the tragic news. R.I.P Her’s💓🙏 , no matter how hard it hurts I’ll keep listening to your music and try to keep your legacy alive for as long as possible!

It’s very sad how I recently found out they died. But I’ve been listening to their music when quarantine started and it really helped me get through because of my failing grades. And now I hope they’ll bring joy to people with their songs even though they’re not here with us.

I will always regret looking them up on Google and finding out their death. Sad that this was the song I got hooked into Her's and also how the duo were around their 20's when they both died. At least they died together I couldn't even think how much pain and suffering one would have to go through if either one of them survived. I shall have this song deep and in brain, heart, and soul. This songs makes me very happy and very sad at the same time. I went to a very aesthetic tea place with my bf by the time. This song played on the radio and he pointed out. I saved it because we were barely starting to date, and I wanted to know his taste in music. Later on I listened to it and I loved the song. It reminded me that day with him, good times. Later on I began listening to more of Her's and their songs basically described my feelings as our relationship began to slowly decay. It brings back such bad and good memories at the same time.

Her's shaped my music taste. It all started with me and my best friend in the summer of 2019, we had discovered the song "Marcel" and we would blast it going home from swimming at the creek, we found and jammed to many of Her's songs on those warm summer nights. They really brought us together as friends. Little did I know that the legends that had made up Her's had passed months before we found them. I hope that their jams never die out or become forgotten. I'm thankful that I got to spend such a monumental summer with them.
