Hera is amazing. My gosh I miss this show and Xena. Currently watching Xena from the beginning, even though I preferred it to Hercules...I just love moments like this!
Meg Foster so gorgeous as mesmerizing as Hera. Absolutely beautiful and stunningly iconic aswell. Meg is just extremely beautiful and adorable as the own Kirstie Alley aswell.❤️🔥
Zeus was a cheating bastard although I loved Anthony Quinn's performance. Hera redeemed herself in the end by helping Hercules and swearing never to hurt humanity again. She was my favorite character in the entire series Herc-Xenaverse
Honestly I prefer the times when Hera was just the big eyes in the sky, the creepy soundeffect and the amazing voice. It made her more powerfull and godlike that she was never seen in human form and that the other gods talked about her and the way they did. After they decided to portrait her like the other gods around, they did the best possible choice with Megan Foster. She is powerfull and has amazing eyes. But well, it was still a mistake to let her have a Hand to Hand combat with Herc
W gromie.
@@Bardim18 I didn't say how she went about things were right but after centuries of Zeus cheating on her left and right then falling in love with a mortal and not only having a child but putting that child above their own kids..Ares..Discord..Hebe..THAT was where the hatred came from. I agree she should have directed all that towards Zeus but I understand her.
@@jasperwellington11 I would understand Hera if she directed her hatred towards Zeus alone. But she hated Hercules and his family too even though they were not to blame for Zeus's infidelity. Remember, for a long time Alcmene thought that she slept with Amphitryon's spirit until Zeus told her the truth eventually. Zeus tricked Alcmene too. It wasn't Hercules' fault that he is Zeus's illegitimate son, nor was it Deinareia and the kids's fault that they were Hercules' wife and children. Nor was it Alcmene's fault that she's Hercules' mother.
@@Bardim18 I think the reason hated Hercules so much was because he was the product of true love. Out of all of zeus's affairs he truly love herc's mom and other than Athena was Zeus's favorite child, more so over the children he shared with Hera which were full gods..so not only did he love a mortal but he dare put him before our kids..that enraged her even more. I understand her rage.
@F50Aircraft I can't remember I watched a video on it she has a garden of peacocks or something or she's depicted as one in Greek mythologies you might have a watch a video on it sorry
I don't know who cast Meg Foster as Hera but she was perfect. I love her other worldly eyes and it is a shame her lovely eyes cost her the title role in Cagney and Lacey. Some tv bigwig claimed she and Tyne Daly, the other lead for Cagney and Lacey series, looked like a pair of lesbians. They even used the lesbian slur "dykes". That has nothing to do with acting talent or Rock Hudson wouldn't have been an early Hollywood movie icon. Why can't people just enjoy talented people acting?
Disney expectation: Hades is the worst villain and Hera is the lovely mother of Hercules. Reality: Hera is the real evil and villain, Hades is just taking care the Underworld and actually has nothing to do with Hercules.
Granted, I will Hera some points there at some parts. But even if that is the case, why put the world through so much crud, and why come at Hercules and try to kill him? Well to get back at Zeus for caring about humans and actually had a son by one of them. Infidelity sucks in so many ways than one, but there's never a need to go overboard and start something even against humans who wanted or had nothing to do with what Zeus did. Granted gods many abilities and such, but it is usually their outlook when it comes down to mortals and the troubles they cause that affects other worlds sometimes that keep me from veering off the spectrum. I could even get Hera's not all that evil to the core, maybe she wasn't always like that before, but know where you going to aim all that negativity without anybody else getting hurt. She made her pain so special she was going at anybody no better than other gods, some of them who did the same thing. Again, I won't let Zeus off the hook for doing what he did to Hera, but golly, it doesn't help your case when you do something to affect the humans and Hercules negativity. At least she changed her opinions of humans a bit. Although this is only in the show, the actual mythologies is a bit different.
@EricWilke1141987 Yes, I was asking what that noise was when we heard Hera speak before she was released. But since you bright up her eyes, am I mistaken, or do they look somewhat like peacock feathers? Keep in mind, I haven't watched the show in a while. lol
I've noticed something. Even before she was freed, whenever we heard Hera's voice there was this strange, high-pitched, echoing call. Does anyone know what that is?
