RIP Mr. Bonner--the greatest episode from the entire series came when Jennifer (Loni Anderson)was dating this rich, elderly gentleman (the Colonel) and he passed away at dinner. Everyone at WKRP came up to her to console her and then along comes Herb and he says "Hey Jenny-I'm sorry that Colonel guy bought the farm" But hey-he had a long life, a lot of dough, got to go out with you...caught the big bus while he was eating at the best joint in town... not bad if you ask me"---that lifted the entire sadness Jennifer was feeling
Worked with two different sales guys in the banking business. Could have been Herb's brothers. Looked like him, talked like him, dressed like him. To paraphrase Venus, "Somewhere there are three VW's missing their seatcovers!
....ah, Frank....such THREE differently handsome Men here, in this scene....but, Herb's speech actually makes HIM the most handsome...Frank REALLY knew how to bring 'Herb' to life.....RIP, Mr. Tarlek...
By happenstance, I sat behind Mr. Bonner at a Dodger game. He looked just like he had just came from filming WKRP. Loved the show, sad to see he has left us.
1. The moment that Jennifer walk in,Herb stop talking, don't want her to hear him. 2. Herb is callous. "You get her drunk, stupids." So sad that he's gone.
