I kept this recipe relatively simple to give you a chance to feel out what herbs & oils work best for you. When you’re introducing too many new ingredients into your regimen it's possible for your scalp and hair to not agree with one or two ingredients. The fewer there are the easier it is to do the process of elimination and figure out what works for you. To get the most benefit from hair oiling it is a good idea to choose oils that help to moisturize and unclog the pores. Make sure you do your own research if you decide to switch up the recipe.
𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐈 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐢𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫?
Using the powdered version of the herbs helps for a faster herbal infusion. Keep in mind that when you use powdered versions of the herbs it is harder to strain without having A LOT of herb sediments left behind. The sediments can be pretty difficult to wash out. Use a cheesecloth on top of a fine mesh strainer when you use powdered herbs. If you have more time on your hands feel free to use the whole herbs.
𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐢𝐥 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐈 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐲 𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐰 𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫?
A little goes a long way, make sure the spoolie brush isn’t dripping with oil before applying. Wipe off excess & then apply root to tip and be careful not to get it in your eyes. It is safe to use on a daily basis (refer to the video for detailed application directions).
𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐈 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐢𝐥 𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 & 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲?
I wouldn’t recommend using this oil anywhere you wouldn’t want thicker hair growth; legs, bikini line, under arms, upper lip & cheeks. This recipe is best suited to scalp, hair, eyebrow & eyelash hair.
𝐈𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐢𝐥 𝐬𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞𝐬?
YES, as long as you have a scalp this oil can work well for you. The oils that I’ve paired together are suitable for fine to thick textures no matter the curl pattern. If you have an oily scalp the oils I chose will help to balance out the sebum levels allowing it to produce LESS oil which is just over compensation for a dehydrated scalp. If you have a dry scalp it will help to nourish, hydrate & protect the scalp from dehydration & flaking. No matter if you have natural coils, curls, waves or straight hair, always shampoo & condition after any oiling session.
