Idk why nobody mentions dude cracked his ribs earlier this season, it’s not just Herbert’s weapons coming back but also getting healthier. He wasn’t able to move like he did last night all season
Yes, I'm a Cowboys fan and people are constantly trying to say Dak is better than Herbert because Herbert hasn't made the playoffs and his record. I've reminded them how he was playing injured, like really injured in a way that would affect his ability to throw the ball. Not a strained calf that gave Dak a bye for his bad play the last 3 months of the season last year. Dude's tough and doesn't care about his stats. Some guys wouldn't play because it would hurt their stats and make them look bad.
@@martinezjames83 Neither has Burrow, Tua, Luck, Marino but they get praised. No one cares if you went to a Superbowl if you don't win. So you can make a long list of guys who never won anything
"Not to rain on their parade", "Not taking anything away from JH", "Not taking away from the Chargers": If you have to throw in that many disclaimers in a full segment, YOU ARE trying to water-down the Dolphins losing AND taking away the win from the Chargers. Jeez what a Fin homer.
It’s funnier because the score makes it seem like the game was close. Aside from a weird fumble “returned” for a TD and when the Chargers defender (who had been blanking Hill all night) fell down on the 60 yd TD, the Dolphins were absolutely dominated start to finish.
I'll never understand why people think Justin Herbert can't "perform" under pressure or in big games The dude has more comeback wins than anybody in the NFL since 2020, he was 7/7 on 4th downs against the mini playoff/in game against the raiders last year Remember he's on the chargers. He's got to overcome that dysfunction, and terrible defense
Y u talking about one game against the raiders lol. Herbo yes is athletic with a strong arm but he’s not a QB like the great ones do Brady Manning Brees. Herbo can’t make reads. He does deep bombs screens and outs.
When Tua had no weapons in 2020, he clearly outplayed Herbert in their head-to-head game. Tua's top receiver that day was Jakeem Grant; Herbert's were Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. But that game "didn't count" then and doesn't count now.
Joy so salty saying there was more Mami fans, is just a slap in the face They had fans there but there was still more charger fans .. 😂 just take it on the chin
@JayWinning there were no recievers open that was the point this lose was more on Mike McDaniel being stubborn and not properly adjusting to what the chargers were doing defensively. Tua was hitting tight window recievers all game, tyreek just kept dropping the ball.
I’m a Chiefs fan. If we couldn’t have Mahomes, give me Justin Herbert over any other QB. For him to have an arm as strong as he does and still have that pinpoint accuracy is remarkable! If he starts utilizing his running ability, he will be very scary! I’m being honest!
Only because other elite QBs didn’t play first 3 years or mahomes, Rodgers and a few others would be above him. That’s why they say first three years NOT first three “STARTING” years. You can find a stat for literally everyone doing that. Like when they say josh Allen is the first QB to throw for 350 yards rush for 100 yards and throw and run more than 2TDs in single game. Empty stats full of asterisks lol
@@toxickidsofficial is english your first language? A lot of elite QBs don’t play their first few years in the league. Most like Steve young, mahomes, Rodgers, Brady, etc all had to sit behind someone and learn. That’s why they don’t have the record. Rodgers sat behind farve for 3 years minute he got his chance he was an mvp like mahomes. They didn’t play “their first season” hence Herbie record. Come on man this ain’t hard to figure out lol
That “love” you speak of is nothing but lip service from Acho. He will be on Herbert once again, the moment the Chargers lose. Acho was a sorry player and he is a sorry analyst as well.
I can’t be the only who thinks that tua is getting a bit of a pass right, if this was allen they would ripping him to shreds, tua the real social media qb
Nah I believe it too I try not to talk bad bout tua but when I see these nut heads down play other qbs that ARE better than him I just gotta say that boy career got saved by hill
I guess 7-5 with one of the most injured rosters in history playing with a practice squad line and receiving core isn’t lifting the team and winning when everyone’s out…….
He’s had good pieces he was the least sacked QB through first 8 weeks(google it) he has the most versatile running back in the league(eckler on pace for 800+ rush and 800 + receiving yards) Mike Williams most of the season. Palmer looking good. A star studded defense that was healthy through first half of season: Mack, Asante jr, derwin games, jc Jackson, bosa, Joseph day, Kyle van noy, etc. Fine injuries happen it’s football. Wanna talk about real injuries look at bradys Buccaneers or stafford rams. They’ve had way harder schedules as well. CHARGERS HAVE ONLY BEATEN RAIDERS, TEXANS, BROWNS, CARDINALS, BRONCOS, FALCONS, and DOLPHINS 😂😂😂 let’s slow the hype train down only one win against a winning team lmao
@@mikehatten5738 Mike was out most of the season, our starting TE is out for season, Allen was out for most, and you still can’t take the idea of Herbert doing good lol
@@toxickidsofficial Exactly and Slater is on IR and Linsley, and Pipkins have missed time as well. We have late round rookies at both OT spots, and a practice squad guy at guard. If Herbert wasn't so good in the pocket, he would be getting killed back there.
@@mikehatten5738 JC played in 4 games.. joey in 3 make got hurt in week 7 missed 5 games.. Keenan just came back 3 weeks ago .. yall dont follow the Bolts.. yall just look at the stats and roster 😂
Ngl those two TDs from Miami were gifts. That fumble recovery by Hill while Chargers D thinking the play was over. And also Mike Davis tripping also a gift.
A lot of people talk about the chargers but don't watch any games they play outside of primetime. Like at the end they started using the old opposing fans narrative that should have died last year
they all want to forget tua over the previous 2 season had win and in scenarios and couldn't deliver , is it wrong to think they could actually not make the playoffs , the Green bay game is probably the easiest but with rodger on Christmas is not a lay up, Buffalo , jets and new England are bringing top 10 defense . would this be a epic choke job
Not to mention if you have Waddle on one side, Tyreek on the other, and Gesicki in the middle, yea we expect you to be good. Herbert had done more with less
@@semtex234 its not tuas fault for having a franchise that wants to build around him but to act like herbert has been playing with nobodys since hes entered the league is funny plus idk about more when herbert is all stats and no playoffs but we look at tua and those dolphins have changed when he started playing better
These commentators don't watch the whole chagers season to say that Herbert is not that great. The OL was decimated, we lost most DL. Herbert had cracked rib cartilage so he couldn't throw deep; that's why we dink and dunked early. KA wasn't there much. Until last night, that was the best overall game we'd had since the first half of Houston game. Let's see what other qb (Burrow, Allen, Tua) does with this team and injuries.
Tua had worse situation last year with broken ribs and a way worse team and still finished with a winning record. Literally had the worst rated offensive line ever recorded and a coach that hated him.
@@TerrellCooper people laugh at me when I say JHerb is a top 2 QB. Based off his play at the position, the only one I’d put over him is Mahomes and that’s BARELY over JHerb. Herbert is the best pocket passer in the league and it’s not even close. He can run as well and make all the throws.
Pretty frustrating to keep hearing that Herbert needs "wins" to be in the same category as Burrow, Allen etc (I think Mahomes is a class of his own). Herbert last year had bottom 3 Defense and ST. This year, he has the 31st run game, bottom tier OLine, bottom 3 defense, and has to deal with the worst injury luck this year. Rookie season was the worst oline in the league + 32nd ST and a bottom half defense. Herbert is the reason why the Chargers had a winning record now and last year. He has sooo many game winning drives already, but the defense can't hold up their end to stop the offense. You know why Burrow went to the SuperBowl? He played well, but his defense played lights out. Defense stopped Carr from making the comeback in the wild card game. The defense got the ball back in OT against the Chiefs whereas the Chargers defense and Bills defense that same season couldn't stop Mahomes in OT. Burrow is top tier, but Herbert is doing the same as well with only one competent l
Joy is sour, the Charger defense showed up and shut the Dolphins defense down and now she gonna say they only won by 6, this is the NFL and Tua gets carried by his team not by his talent.
As a Chargers fan we were talking so much about acho, but it's great Acho took that L, and handled it a lot better than what many would have. Respect. 👊
I can understand not saying Herbert is a top 3/5 QB at this moment, but to really sit back and not be able to definitively say that Herbert is better than Tua is just wild. It’s pretty plain to me. When Herbert is healthy, has a half decent o-line and his weapons around him, he’s top 5 in my opinion
@@elgisthomas8791 That was also just one game. Look at stats, who throws a better ball and just impact on the game. Sorry but this isn’t a discussion, you can argue it if you want but anything you try to come up with will just be irrelevant
Not a word about Tua having the worst game of his career, against a Chargers defense missing 3 All-Pro’s and several other starters. Tua was 9/27, 85 yards, 0 TD’s aside from the one big play where Michael Davis tripped on Tyreek’s feet!!! Tua wasn’t just bad, and it wasn’t just “one bad game”. He looked lost for the second straight game…this time against a bottom 5 defense who was also missing Derwin James, not the #1 defense in the NFL he saw last week.
@@calvinjames5547 He’s had a great season up until last week. I won’t argue that. But to push a narrative that he’s in any way shape, form, or fashion better than Herbert is laughable.
What debate? The only people debating this either don’t know football or on Tua’s payroll. Tua isn’t remotely close to Justin in both talent and physical gifts b
yea and we all said Philip Rivers Was The Way Better QB Than Eli.......Rivers was More Talent Better Arm better Physical Gifts. then Eli won two Sbs over Tom Brady And Nobody Cares at all That Rivers Was More Talented. Eli Will Go Down In History as the better QB So lets hope the chargers dont mess Herbert up like they did Rivers
I don't buy Acho's apology. His self imposed punishments are all about waiting for the Chargers to not make the playoffs then call Herbert a bum. He is still out for Herbert
That means the Chargers just gotta make the playoffs to shut him up, but he’s not wrong in regards to week 18 it may come down to that just like last year
Justin Herbert was definitely great but Staley and the defense made the Dolphins offense look silly. They deserve a lot of the credit for disguises their coverages and stacking the middle. Good overall game by the chargers
Are you kidding?!? Tua would not amount to what herbert has done all season if he didnt have hill or waddle. He had them the entire season! Lets not forget derwin james and bosa were also missing in the defense.
Full clown show from all especially Joy(except Acho manning up to being wrong). Yesterday proved Herbert is a super star QB and Tua showed he’s a game manger being elevated by a great roster and great coach. The debate is over. Herbert>Tua
This was less about how great Herbert was and was more of a running excuse for Miami. Herbo and the Chargers did their thing and when healthy, they are one of the most dominant offenses out there.
I just try to understand what proof there is of Herbert “not showing up” also how tf is Joy allowed to get on a sports show and talk is a disgrace in its own self
“I need to see that” points out everything except the fact that all the qbs she named, haven’t had as bad of a defense and o line and coaching as Herbert. Mahomes has one of, if not the best offensive play caller in the league. Also has had top 10 defense most of his career. And a pretty good o line. Remember when he didn’t have his o line in the super bowl? Why doesn’t Herbert get that excuse? And Herbert has actually performed a lot better with that awful line and no one to throw to. Eesh this show is bad and biased.
Idk what joy is talking about. Lol clearly the reason the dolphins offense was stagnant and need 2 lucky plays to stay in the game was because of the chargers defense. Forced him to throw outside the numbers witch is something Tua struggles with!
Joy said Joe took his team to the Super Bowl forgetting that defense forced 9 (including the SB) NINE turnovers while taking 19 sacks (including the SB) that defense is the reason they got all those chances it takes a team to make it far
The most hilarious thing about this is, anyone who watches football can see Herbert is and always will be better than Tua. It’s not even close or fair either. Hope the Chargers don’t waste his talent. Because if he doesn’t succeed it’s on them.
thats obvious but thats not the point. but yes chargers wasting his talent is the point. this could be Eli And Rivers all over again. Philip Rivers Was way Better Than Eli But Eli won two SBs so nobody cares who was more talented. As A New Yorker i always said is we didnt trade Philip Rivers He Would have at least 3 SBs and 2 Mvp and thats clear
@BlazerManiacNumber96 yeah and I can say when we traded for Eli people was saying the same thing after watching Rivers play his first 5 games it's was the worst trade... so we say that now but Hill is a bad man and that coach seem like he knows what his doing so it's possible a few injuries to the top teams and then Tua is holding a Lombardi weirder things have happened in the NFL I don't think he'd win SB MVP like Eli did tho Eli is better than Tua tho lol
If he actually paid attention to the actual games instead of trying to have a hot take it was clear that the losses weren’t on Herbert maybe one of them
It’s crazy that Joy is asking Herbert to make a playoff run with a bottom 5 defense. You can’t win games if your defense isn’t stopping anyone. That’s why they haven’t made the playoffs yet. Allen and Brady aren’t changing that. Only person that might is Mahomes
This show is less clownish without Shady. He constantly interrupts people and gives buffoonish takes most of the time. He brings the show down and Acho doesn't help encouraging his childish behavior. He needs to be replaced by someone that is more serious minded and is more professional.
Joy sound so bitter😂 we don’t even have “all our guys” and Herbert has been top 5 in passing with his receivers out. Like you can’t blame bro cause hes had suspect coaching. The reason we always have a chance to win is cause of him
everybody is missing the point. i always said if Giants would have kept Philip Rivers he would have at least 3 SBs 2 MVPs and be concidered one of the greats, even tho i love Eli. im telling u at first it was the Same Between Eli And Rivers it was Clear that Rivers Was way better but Eli End up Winning two SBs At that Point having more Talent meant nothing It Could easily Be The Same case with Herbert And Tua, Tua could Be Eli And Herbert Could Be Rivers Then Tua Would End up With The Better Career
@THEMANCURTIS I'm sure he would have the defense fumbled the ball in 06, he had that game won. cant blame him.... then against the sb defending colts he was going crazy then tore his acl, and had to play in the ACF Championship on a torn ACL against the pats. mind u Eli won that year. Year after that he lost to a great steelers team while Ballin over 300 yrd and 3 TD, but the chargers defense was out there playing bad and Big Ben got anything he wanted...... now in 09 that's was completely his fault he got out played by Mark Sanchez only putting up 100 yards and 2010 is exactly wat Herbert is going through right now. Rivers lead the league in passing the team had massive weapons and didn't even make the playoffs I'm not blaming him that season he was Ballin just weird lost and bad bad Sp teams since then the team anit been good ...so I can't say everytime he didn't perform. he just got u lucky .didn't help some of the greatest qb of all time played in his conference... again this can easily end up Herbert story
They always say “we need to see Herbert in the playoffs” and yet make Tua out to be a playoff caliber quarterback 😂 like bruh their argument is always so one sided, I’ve heard WAY BETTER takes from random guys and girls from tiktok 😂
Why will Mike McDaniel not make in game adjustments? If teams are taking away the middle of the field passing game, MAKE ADJUSTMENTS! Also, McDaniel gives up on the running game quickly. It's ridiculous.
I would like to know who's won a boat load of games with banged up o line and a banged receiver core, a banged up defense that is ALSO 23rd in the league. Let me see that stat since Justin Herbert not being a winner is such a big fn deal
It was only a matter of time before defenses figured them out. Mike McDaniel found a system that Tua could actually succeed in and it's looking they've been figured out. Once a game plan falls apart or doesn't work Tua crumbles. He can spot throw to open dudes, that's about it. He's just not talented enough to overcome failing game plans and adapt like an Allen, mahomes or burrow can. There's a reason miami tried everything they could to get rid of him for two years.
Considering the Miami offense couldn't stay on the field, you would think the Chargers would score 40pts with the amount of plays they ran. But nope, for whatever reason they had to settle for field goals and try to convert 4th downs. Really strange.
They talk as if it's all Herbert's fault they haven't won more games. He doesn't play defense. It's a team game. The qb gets way too much of the praise and way too much of the blame. Go bolts!!!
