Heidi! I have to share with you about green tea. I used to have to use multiple lumps of sugar in order to consume any variety of tea. I had the opportunity to visit Japan and taste the real stuff and it tastes so much better than the green tea I had tasted in the United States. One thing I learned from that experience is that in the United States we are often not very aware of what temperature water we are using for our different tea products. Green tea is one that does not taste good and becomes extremely bitter if the water is too hot. For taste, my favorite green tea from the US is actually the Kirkland brand from Costco if you can believe that. I have one or two cups every day with no added sugar and it tastes wonderful. Incredible anti aging benefits when consuming green tea regularly which was what originally motivated me to try to like it. I do think even when prepared properly green tea is an acquired taste but I would encourage you to try it again (maybe several times until you decide you like it!) at a lower water temp and see if that makes a difference for you in enjoying it. Or maybe you have been doing it right all along and green tea just isn't for you. Thanks for another great video!

I just do not like ANY true tea that comes from the Camellia Sinensis or even the Camellia Japonica. So that means black, white, oolong or green. It is also why I am not a kombucha person

What temperature water are you supposed to use? I am not big on green tea, but like black tea or even oolong. It is hard to find organic tea that not very expensive.

Note: I have bone on bone in both knees, and a torn meniscus. I was recommended surgery and knee replacements. I walked w/a cane. Now I am cane free through the use of a capsula day of flax seed oil, along w/ nettle as a seasoning. Also, for pain and healing, calendula is among the best for rapid repair. You are correct about compression and ice, as they reduce blood and lymph flow. You need both to heal anything. I love your channel. You are so good to watch & good at your research. I have learned & been reminded about a lot. Thank you. Keep up the good work. May God bless you and yours.

Hi Becky, just read your comment regarding your knee pain and I am so happy to hear your results. I have had both hips replaced, my left knee done and I am done with surgeries. My right knee is bone on bone but I refuse to go under the knife again. I wish I had been interested in the power of herbs before my surgeries. However back then I did not know there were alternative fixes. I intend to look into the flax seed oil and calendula seasoning for myself and husband. Thank you so very much for sharing. Your info has given me hope for the future. Our M.D.'s are not trained in this type of healing and if the subject on herbs came up in a Dr. visit they would look at you as if you were nuts! Thanks again.

Talking about heat packs - my mom used to have a small pillow that was my grandmother’s. My grandmother had made a small pillow case using heavy pillow ticking and took it to the beach and filled it with sand, then stitched it closed. When needing to apply a heat pack she would toss it onto the oven rack(I can still see some burnt marks on it in my mind) and the sand would get hot quickly. She’d wrap it in a towel as to not get burned. Then lay it over the affected area. The sand holds the heat and the bag/pillow molds to the part of the body (my knee) better than any heating pad. Towel can be removed when your skin can handle the heat. Funny how old types of home healing is coming back into fashion these days!

Then I saw a video on how to cure knee pain from Dr. Berg. I tried the exercises and over night the pain was gone. I still have pain from my crooked knee but the pain that's gone was in a different place. Video said to push hard from upper thigh to knee on the right side and the pain in the opposite knee will go away. I did and it worked! Check out his videos, they may help!

Excellent talk. After an injury to my left sacral joint, I noticed my knee was popping alot and then the kneecap started getting loose. Now it pops off with a bang and loudly and then hurts for over a week. I researched the issue and found the Iliotibial Band is pulling the kneecap toward the outside of my leg and misaligning the kneecap. Supposedly the issue starts with weakened hip/butt muscles and is called dormant butt syndrome. I am wearing a brace with the circular kneecap opening and it is helping quite a bit. To do stretches of the Iliotibial Band takes time and devotion (short on both so living up to Dormant (Lazy) Butt name) so I am just dealing with it. I recall there was a product called Blue Stuff that had Emu oil in it that I might try to find again. That might not be natural but unless I get serious and do the stretches regularly I will have to resort to it. It doesn't help that I drive a manual transmission vehicle (it's my left knee). I will try some of your suggestions asap.

However, I heard a brilliant podcast interview with a member of a family in the US that used DMSO to help heal their mother who was dying of that disease we have been beaten over the head with the last few years. They put all the supplements into the DMSO and sneaked it into the hospital to massage on her body (she was comatose) and instead of dying as the Drs expected, she recovered. I've been thinking that having some DMSO on hand to be able to administer nutrients to a sick person who cannot take anything orally would be a really good idea. Yah's blessings and love to you!

Its interesting that you mentioned stinging nettle for pain.. I swear.. years ago where I lived, the property was covered in stinging nettle and I was always getting stung. I told someone even way back then that after it stops hurting, it feels good! Same with bee stings. The nettle even more so I feel. I need to grow me a little patch of it somewhere. I'm dealing with a brand new place and land.. and it does have some lovely native plants already like Mugwort and raspberry and blackberry plants. I'm very curious about poke. I've heard people talk about it in videos and say it's not poisonous and then if you look it up... it says poisonous. I need to find someone who has experience with this plant because if it actually helps arthritis... I need to learn to use it.

Would always like to mention when discussing DMSO … it will pull just about everything into the skin and even bloodstream … never handle toxins nor chemicals when you have DMSO on your hands/skin! Great stuff but must be carefully and truly respected as the great carrier it is.

Yes, it is nice, I just tend to like stronger flavors so I enjoy adding the flavor as well as the benefits from things such as cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, dried orange peel, star anise, or peppermint from the garden. I constantly switch it up. One I did recently was lemon balm with ginger and used either mullein or comfrey in that one

Ty Heidi :) Does inflation comes from foods that we eat, like night shades, dairy, carbs of any sort? many dr on utube say the carnivore diet is the best. My opinion is well balanced diet and stay away from sugars. Ty for your channel
@RainCountryHomestead
@RainCountryHomestead Год назад
Yes, one can get inflammation from certain foods but there is no one diet that is best for everyone and I am always highly skeptical of a diet that focuses only on one food group. We were created to be omnivores. If all we did was eat meat, we would be deficient in other areas and there is such thing as protein poisoning. Same goes for a strict vegan diet. It may be ok for a few weeks or even for a few people but not for everyone for a lifetime. We need the nutrients that can only be found in animal products
