Guys great episode. Hide the keys from Roman so he doesn’t trade this truck. Love this Ram and considering replacement cost I’d hang on to it. Also would love to see more long term follow up after 3-4 years of ownership. Thank you for all that you do to keep us informed!

Good recommendations We live in Hawaii, and our grid heater really doesn't work as hard as cold weather states. But we changed to a Banks high ram set up. Oh, our grid heater was still tight, and the nut was still in tack, but I don't have the funds to buy a replacement engine. The Banks high ram was just in case purchase

Trailhound is a great truck. I would keep it. Maybe change the steps for sliders. Keep using it compare it to the new stuff. Pull your trailers. Yes we (your audience) are fickle but we like this one. Keep it use it compare for those of us that won’t buy the newest thing out there. Appreciate what you do. Thanks

Hey Nathan @tfl that noise that your hearing is a worn hub! Bwhen they go out they tend to have a tick noise when they are going out! It wouldn't be an issue with the differential because if it was youd see it in the driveshaft, the broken differential would bounce and jerk off it was broken! Id check out the hubs first

It's the double cardon joint on the front shaft I'm sure. If you put it up on your drive on lift with the wheels in the air and stick it in 4wd and run it. You'll be able to pin point the exact location.

I know a guy that took his brand new Dodge to a shop in Texas and pulled the tranny out and had him build it with all the new performance parts with shift and all billet shafts and it was like 6K to get this all done and the truck has over 200K on the clock and zero problems and it shifts so slick and the guy that built it told him to drive 25 -50 miles and bring it back and they checked everything and they drained the trans fluid and filled it back up with me filter so they could check for metal in filter but it was money well spent and he tows a lot and heavy on long trips that’s why he has so many miles on it and does for work .

I have largely similar 22 2500 Cummins with 37" KM3 and Carli Commuter and I love my truck. Tows my 8000 lb travel trailer to up and down mountain passes to Moab with ease and then off roads when we get there with ease as well. The transmission is not great but it works ok and the exhaust break is so good that it will actually slow me down on 6% grades going 65 so instead of break applications, I need gas applications if cruise control isn't on.

I like the good old 8.4 screen AND UConnect 4 personally. I do have the 8.4 screen but got the UConnect 5.0 back when they claimed it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. OK, I like the off road pages, and the cordless Android Auto, but I also used the weather and it does NOT work even after three visits to the dealer. I give up and I don't need 400 programmed stations and hate drilling down 14 levels to try to find something and its glitchy just in general compared. to 4.0. IT is NOT intuitive. OK, rant done. I got a 2023 Gladiator with the 8.4 screen and UConnect 4.0 and THAT was a selling point for me vs the new screen and UConnect 5.0 on the 24's... Works Great!

The reason no one can tell a difference after the recall, there is none. All it does is recalibrate your DEF Level gauge. You will now go through more Def fluid because now the truck won't run right if you run out. That's all it does

Only. 28,000 miles on my PowerWagon. I off-road, not overland. Towing 10,000 lbs is plenty. Not spending a fortune on diesel fluid and def. Gasoline has been around 150 years. No need to change. Climate change is real, but NOT from fossil fuels. The Earths axis has rotated a few degrees. All the EV's will do, besides being very inconvenient and heavy, is use their heavier weight to pollute tires and brakes so badly they are worse than a V-8. All these idiots spending a fortune do is lower their safety and net worth

RAM mirrors are the worst out of all 3 brands. theyre physically smaller in width and height in the towing position , you have to majorly re adjust them every time you flip them. which means getting out (sometimes multiple times) to manually adjust the fish eye on the passenger side. I've quite literally ordered some 2014-2020 GM conversion mirrors for my RAM 3500. its bugged me to the point where the couple hundred bucks for the conversion is worth it to me.

What has the world come to that we are excited when an almost 100 thousand dollar truck makes it 26k miles🤣

Does anyone know the size of auxiliary lights those were on the front bumper?

The lights, according to AEV, are 7000 Series Off Road lights (kit for $1,119 for 2 lights, 2 covers, 2 mounts, 1 light harness). The light lens is 7.60” (192.9mm), overall height 9.02” (229mm), depth 5.29” (133.2mm)

Worked at independent shops and at the Chrysler dealerships. These ram trucks held up great for customers, not uncommon to see them with 400k plus miles. In California if you see guys towing commercial 80% of them are using rams. Plus these trucks are easier to repair then ford or Chevys options.

Wouldn't you put a bar on the back side of the muffler, and not the front? Why not just cut the muffler about 7 inches? I just had colon cancer, and the surgeon cut out 7 inches of sigmoid colon, a sigmoid colectomy, and I feel 1000X better. LOL Cut the exhaust pipe far away from the tire.

Sounds like worn spider gears or a bad hub

I think the difference between Alex's truck and TFL's truck is more the usage than quality contrôle, diesels like to be worked(expecialy with dpf and scr), if you just start it to go 5 miles to the grocery store it does not have the time to properly warm up and the "anti-pollution" system does not have the time to clean itself Another reason that most people that want a hd truck but will make it work rarely should buy a gas instead of a diesel

I daily drive a stock 6.9 FERD IDI. One of my favorite things to do, is to drive it two miles to the grocery store.

Old style mirror’s don’t break down and now you have more electronics that could cause problems and the cost to fix .

Needs 40's, super swampers. 37's arent enough for a real truck.

Definitely a universal joint in the front driveshaft.
