I thought the same thing when I saw one of these videos I bought the 24 pack off Amazon for $16 used two of them in my 30 year old Kenmore 80 series washer.... nothing came out 🤷🏻♂️ now that could be because I'm such an immaculate housekeeper that my laundry tub never actually had a chance to get dirty in the last 30 plus years of use... or the stuff didn't work...
@@999fine5 Serious question. How do you know morning came out? Did you catch the waste water? I should have the first time I used it because I was left wondering if it did anything.
I loved mine! They cleaned my washer so well. You are supposed to wash your washer every 2 weeks. And it does says to do another tablets if need be. Give them another try! I recommend them to everyone
Just do some research on good washing machine cleaners. They do help a lot. I've never used this brand but I buy the SE Grocers brand and use them like once a month. They help a lot. We bought our washer used and you could tell it hadn't been cleaned on a while. I used one pack of the SE Grocers and you could see and smell the difference specially on the drum. I ended up using it twice just to be safe. I wish I knew how much it works beyond the drum. I can only imagine how much cleaner the rest of it is judging by how clean the drum gets.
I absolutely love that you took the dirty tub out first to show how dirty it was and then ran the tablet through and then took it apart again to show how much it cleaned Thank you thank you thank you thank you I've been wondering.
They work great ! My son saw this post and ordered them for me on Amazon ! I couldn’t figure why my clothes smelled Musty . No more stink . Thank you so much for the info !
They work great too. Thanks to these tips, I’ve changed the way I wash my clothes and it does make a big difference. Save your washer and dryer with tips from this channel. You can thank him for that.
Thanks for showing that these tablets actually work!! Very very few people can actually test these tablets because we don't know how to disassemble the machine for before and after photos
The best channel that I ever, ever follow is your Derreck... I'm Electrotechnician and I like to fix the things like you do... ☺️ I saw a lot of mess that I needed to fix but it's okay for me. Kepp up great work & I love your vid's.
I have one of those washers, and when we replace we are going back to a front loader. Front loader is great, especially for large comforters. Top loader with an agitator, clothing and sheets are fine. Top loader with the plate instead of an agitator ties all of my skinny kid's jeans and pajama pants into massive knots, and stretches bedsheets across the drum so they don't slosh and wash or rinse well. And the matching dryer, which has 4 fins in the drum instead of 3, doesn't dry clothes because the clothes won't tumble. Instead the dryer collects the clothes into bunches held between the fins and sets in massive wrinkles. Three fins only in the dryer drum from now on.
Put a referral link so you get some revenue. Your videos have convinced many people to buy em, so why not take a cut from educating people how to maintain their own appliances?
@@digi3218oh really just made my day. And to be honest, I’m not looking to profit off of the people, I want big techs money, I want social medias money. I want my people to get it too, so I don’t like to do anything that gets in anyone else’s pocket. I don’t know how Amazon works all that well but I’m learning lol. Thank you for your comment too, that shit really hit. Real recognize real too though, remember that 🫡
RU-vid is listening to everything!!! I was just working on this exact model machine not five ago and this video, the first ever washing machine video pops up… Not a coincidence.
I was literally standing over my version of this machine Looking up how to clean it when I got this 😂 Too bad I put it on quick wash instead of pure cycle 😮💨
I'm pretty sure he got paid by the seller. It's obviously a paid advertisement. You definitely took the washer apart and scrubbed the clean. So easy to mislead people with these shorts. And he made a pretty penny already or he would have an affiliate link
I use these tablets, and they do work. I found them by researching Amazon myself years ago. They've over 106k reviews with 4.5 stars. A 24 pack is only $17.95 which is a way better deal than Affresh which is what I was using before I found these tablets. Whether he gets paid or not for advertising which is what A LOT of RU-vidrs do they still do WORK!!!
Thank you for recommending these! I used three because I saw small black stuff in my tub (front load) after the first two! It's a 2015 and I don't think it was ever cleaned... also cleaned the washer filter because of your videos!!
Bought the closest tablets I could find as the ones here weren't available UK side. This man knows his job, knows what to do, tells me what to do, I do it. That's fucking efficient.
Bought these bc of you and now my wife loves me again and I have more friends than ever. You’ve helped turn my life around. I am forever indebted to you.
I saw this video a while ago and purchased those cleaning packs. Today I came across this video again, and I'm happy to say I've ordered those packs 3 times now since the first time I watched it. They work, and they got rid of the swampy smell front load. washers are known for.
I have a Kenmore 80 series that's at least 30 years old never been cleaned before ran one of those active tabs through it water came out crystal clear ....... and that's how I found out my main sewer line was mostly plugged up..... 🤦♂️. It takes a lot more water than you think it does to fill an entire laundry tub with no clothes in it lol.
I’m been using these for awhile and good lord do they work! My washer went from “I’ve tried everything to make my washer smell decent but nothing works” to “omg there is no smell!!!!!!!” IN ONE CLEANING! Im not joking peeps these work!
I appreciate your videos. I bought those same packets off Amazon, gave some to my son who we just replaced his front loader in his RV, stopped using fabric softener & instead put in vinegar.
Dude! You need to do a full length video on how well these things actually work. The magic of editing can make people believe just about anything. That being said, educating people not to overload their washing machine and cleaning it is important.
Heads up, Amazon's Choice is not a guarantee it's a good product. It's an automated system that if they ran a certain metric of sales, they get the label.
Yo! Y'all can also use "washing soda" to clean out the drum. It's the first ingredient in washing machine cleaner tabs. It is also safe to use on each wash to clean and soften your clothes. Plus, it's cheap!
@@msKita43 Close! Baking soda is sodium BIcarbonate while washing soda is sodium carbonate. If you take baking soda and heat the heck out of it (like in your oven), you create sodium carbonate or washing soda. It is also used in powdered detergents like dishwasher detergent and the old school powder detergents. You can also use it to "strip your sheets" with some borax. I've started using around the house. It's super cheap. Cheers!
Washing soda ... 'arm & hammer superwash'?. I use it in most of my loads. Maybe my washer stays clean? Lol, idk. But I DO know the smell it began developing (front loader) went away.
Just ordered this for my Samsung top loader AND the dishwasher tablets for my Whirlpool dishwasher. I had a cleaner from the manufacturer that I liked, but it's expensive. My husband and I don't abuse either. Our washing machine doesn't smell, but I'm still concerned about hidden dirt and germs. A plumber who installed our dishwasher told us that if we wanted it to last longer to rinse our plates. So far, it's 7 years old. Fingers crossed... our last dishwasher was 25 years old and our washer was about the same age.
Just use vinegar. White vinegar, buy a gallon bottle, and add a cup or two to your washer. You also won't have to worry about any long-term damage to your internal components. Not saying this product causes damage. cause I don't know if it does or not. But vinegar doesn't
thank you for the advice.😊😊 ever since I watched this short months ago, I'd used a washer active tablet weekly/biweekly. no more weird smell coming from my front load washer. also,I'll make sure that I use almost the recommended amount of concentrated detergent and skip using the cloth softener in most washes. many thanks again.😊😊 Nisa Malaysia
I have an 80s Maytag washer that I just went though and replaced all the hoses on as well as the belts and the pump. I have used these exact tablets before and they work well, although there isn't a lot of dirt build up in my washer. They mostly broke down stuff that was in the agitator itself as well a a little bit of shit that was in the outer tub. Washer works great, nothing like the shit they're trying to sell today.
Inexpensive granulated dish detergent will clean your clothes washer as well as the "machine cleaning tablets" and it's both cheaper and available in every local grocery store.
Yes they do. Just gently wipe out the gasket on the front once the cycle is done. Be sure to keep the door cracked when you're not washing clothing to allow the water to dry and prevent smelly build up.
I did get these n they flipping worked magic!! It dislodged a dime that was somewhere stuck in the tub... smells great, got all gunk out n then some lol 😊
So you’re saying those tablets did that, and you had no intervention in cleaning it? 🤨 I need to see it from start to finish in a longer video because you took it apart for a reason, right?
Yeah there's no way that little Amazon chemical packet cleaned all of that by itself he had to have gone in there and scrubbed them down and sprayed them out somewhere.
It's not impossible, but I would bet he used two or three tablets. Vinegar is really good at removing build-up too, but takes time. I've used lime away to good effect too, on moist and grime collecting surfaces. Shower heads, for example, although since it's not being agitated, I have to scrub it, but not very hard.
He took it apart like that knowing nobody else is going to. He's just going to hope that people throw them in their washer it's slightly cleans it and then people don't realize it's a scam
Definitely going to use some. We only buy used washers because the new one last about 3 to 5 year's. We have a Maytag washer that's at least 40 years old that was bought used 20 year's ago now and all it needs is some new brushes for the motor. It was working as of two months ago.
Vinegar. Just vinegar. All you need is vinegar. Pour a bit of vinegar with each load of clothes you do. I've done this on the same washer I've had for over 15 years and it has not once had a funny smell. Plus your clothes smell so much cleaner with vinegar! Also do not use fabric softener, all it does is gunk up the washer and makes it that much easier to hold onto funky smells.
@@vladb2154 I'd imagine so. Fabric softener of any type doesn't really do anything except make the clothes have that distinctive smell, it's not necessary at all though.
Yep... Just like cleaning rust of things... Put vinegar, and water in spray bottle 1/2 & 1/2... Spay on, let sit for 5 minutes, then wipe, rinse, repeat... Best way to clean oven also...
Bruh, IDK how you are making money giving out all your secret but I thank you! Because of you I learn something about washing machine! Something I don't even think about it but important to make my life easier!
I bought a box of those tablets based on this video and have been running them through my LG frontloader for several months, 2x a month. I run 2 tablets and run it with hot water on heavy duty, and I let the washer drain into a bucket when it finishes the wash cycle, and I find sediment and bits that are expelled every time; nothing compared to the first couple times I did this. I plan on doing the 2x tablets until most or all of the sediment or crud goes away. I've got another box on my shopping list as I'm nearly out. Probably not as good as a full disassembly, but it seems to be doing something. I've also since switched to vinegar as a fabric softener. Wife still prefers real fabric softener for the scent (we do our laundry separately). Don't use the tub clean, at least not on an LG - I found that it fills the drum, seems to swish it around for maybe 10 minutes, and then dumps it. Heavy duty wash cycle keeps it in there for a good 45 minutes. More mileage per tablet.
The washing machine tablet does not have a smell or scent. Do not place this into the water tank of a toilet. You shouldn't put anything but water into that tank. You can cause the parts inside to wear out quicker and create leaks.
I really love it you guy and girl still have top loaders here in the EU it’s 90% front loaders. And still our top loaders look very different and come in 6kg version ( very small) a normal front lader is from 8 to 10kg.
I’d rather charge someone $299 to take it apart and fully clean it out and know it’s actually clean rather than use these tablets that don’t actually work.
He took it apart to show how dirty it was, then ran it with the tabs, then retook it apart to show that it actually works. What video did you friggin watch?
I used one today in my maytag and the filth floating in it was horrific. I bought them maybe a year ago from your videos, thanks for the heads up man. They work well.
I absolutely despite irrelevant ads on RU-vid and it’s gotten to the point they don’t know what ads to give me because I claim all of them are irrelevant. Your video actually made me want to buy these.
I'm 44 years old and just learned last year that washers need to be cleaned! I bought my set new back in 2018. I've since been running those cleansing tablets after every few washes. Hoping they work, but can't really tell.
My washer ever since I owned it the rinse water looked like mud. It was so bad it clogged up my drain. I thought at sometime I thought it would stop but it never did. I put dawn in it, 409, grease lightning. Nothing cleaned it out. I saw this add, bought this product and boy was I supposed , one flushing the rinse water was clear! Believe it or not. I love this product.
I once owned a wash plate machine. That clean washer cycle was designed for those specifically. A full fill agitator washer basically cleans the tub every time you wash. Run hot water washes and occasional bleach loads. They are your friends.
You helped me fix my washer last week ( leaking inlet valve ) Will these work on front loader too ? Love the fast paced informative videos !!! Keep it up 👍👍👍👍👍
I don’t know why out of the blue this was recommended to me, but thank you! I have a Samsung top loading washer that leaves residue on clothes after washing. I just ordered these and am crossing my fingers that it fixes the issue. We were considering buying a new washer due to this problem.
Awesome! I understand everyone being doubtful, but I just can’t believe all of the hateful comments I’ve seen about it. This is literally the only product I have ever endorsed out of a few dozen. I use it and I give it away to people who buy washers from my store 😊
@@derrickwith2rs always some haters on youtube. You have given a lot of good advice and instructions that save a lot of people time and money. You are a rockstar sir. Keep up the good work. I had to use two of these and do some work to clean out the adjitator because one of my roommates uses a lot of fabric softener and that stuff was caked on. After cleaning that off the tablets took care of the rest and did a damn good job. My clothes smell a lot better now. Thanks again.
I use a 1974 Maytag washer. It'll last another 20 years. Yep its a water pig but it washes clothes the way a washer is supposed to, and it isnt made in China and wont break in 5 years forcing me to buy another junk water saver. Pick your battles in life.
Weird thing, but I lived with my brother for 6 months at his newly bought home to do some repairs the home needed. We had a ton of fun, doing every repair. I’m 27 and he’s 34 and it was like we were little kids still. Anyways my sister in law never let us in with dirty clothes in the house so each night we would change in the garage and put our dirty stuff in the washer. He had the exact washer that’s in this video, so it reminded me of all the awesome times we had during those six month. My brother ain’t dead or anything lol I haven’t seen him in two months, but still I miss the old bastard greatly.
Huge fan of your videos Derrick! I've been doing a lot of research and I've read that the white distilled vinegar does a great job as a fabric softener and some people say it can be used as a cleaner for a washing machine, though I'd want to hear your input if you do read this.
With a front loader i let it run at 90°C once a week with kitchen and bath towels and put desinfectant in the softener compartment. Also i let the machine open after every wash, so the remaining water can evaporate instead of creating a damp atmosphere inside the washing machine. Oh and one more thing: After the washing cycle i *immediately* remove the clothes. Letting them in the washing machine for hours *will* result in stinking clothes.
They actually work. My washer smelt so bad i tried the refresh tabs and they did nothing at all but one of these worked wonders. You know my washer was bad when my comforter came out smelling 1000xs worse then when it went it and i washed it 4 times. After using the active tab it smelt like it should clean and like my laundry soap.
You should also leave the link in video description! That's where most people go to for links 😊 I don't have any funny odors coming out my washer, but definitely buying this 👌
Many washers have a refresh option. Using bleach, and hot water (whites)would certainly be sufficient. Drying clothes would kill bacteria as well. Samsung washer, dryers are known to be the worst for dependability.
I actually like how even tho he makes a business out of cleaning and repairing washers still recommends a product the can affect his business in a bad way. We have a 50 pound industrial washer has a 10hp motor 240 3 phase and like 350g of extracting force. Since they were made to last it's all stainless and no corroding and love the extraction cycles dryer makes quick work of it and it's fully programableb
Mine says to use a cup of bleach and put it on a clean cycle. Every time I have done it.. the damn bearings start singing. Good to see the tablet works though. Thanks for doing the hardwork.
