I do the same as well but while I am sleeping I like to use my speaker for listening, since the Spotify app lets you put a timer and my speaker turns of automatically after 10 mins of inactivity!
Here's a review for you. They are okay but the plastic is cheap so they break easily. I liked them at first but they also struggled to play sound at times. They would connect but not play any sound. Not worth it in my view.
Hi to all. I have a lot of soundcore/anker headphones. I have the q20's, the q35's, and now a couple days ago, now have the space q45's. Anyone who has any of the older headphones, do yourself a major favor and just get the q45's. These headphones are more comfortable than the older ones for a start. When I got the app to find them which did take a little longer then I wanted, changed my EQ to acoustic and away I went. Music sounds great on these headphones, as does audio dramas and I know watching movies from places like Tubi, pluto, or Disney+ will also be great. The soundcore app works great with voice over which is the screenreader I use on my iPhone 13 pro max as I'm totally blind. When I received my q45 headphones, they were 60 % charged wright out of the box which is pretty cool. They connected to my phone with no issues. I also really like the buttons on the headphones. They have a quality feel to them. Using them wired also works just fine as well. If the headphones are turned on, the headphones will automatically turn off, and the audio will come up and the battery level will be announced. You can then choose either noise canceling, normal, or transparency. I recommend listening to them wired with noise canceling on. I just bought them from amazon for $100 as a black-Friday deal. They came very fast. I also bought a great case for them. I would have no problems taking these with me if I did any kind of traveling. Do yourself a favor and grab these headphones.
Loving my Q45 so far. After standard EQ adjustment the clarity and balance is outstanding and surprising. The only criticism I have is the headband cushion could be a bit wider.
Had these since Nov 2022. About 3 months ago they began making a really loud noise that sounds like feedback. They began accumulating sweat and became quite uncomfortable to wear for long periods. Few days ago the left driver stopped producing noise for no reason. Some modes aren't very loud Quick charge is great and battery life is really good Noise Cancelling works really well Soundcore sent me a new pair and I bought headphone sweat covers. Hopefully they will be an improvement.
As someone who has only had glasses for not even a year, ANC varies widely between brands when wearing glasses. I only like over ear style for comfort and almost never see anyone talk about ANC quality or leakage with glasses.
First time watching one of your reviews and I am very impressed with your eloquence and the detail you provide. Excellent review! ( And that's one really cool apartment building in the background! 🙂)
I got the q30's almost 2 years ago. They still work and sound just like they did when I first got them. With that said, I treated them horrificly, took them to the gym and slept in them often. The ear foam has seperated from the inside, and the one design flaw of the headphones is the plastic part that holds the earmufs to the metal bar. When it snaps, and if you sleep in them for more then a year they will, the earmuf wont detach from the headphones but it will flop inwards in a really uncomfortable way. Ducktape fixed it for me😂. Highly recommend any soundcore headphones im getting the q45's now.
Hi, thanks for your implicit compliment. I am starting channel (1 yr 4 months doing Tech) so that probably explains. But...growing nicely so no complaints :)
I'm receiving the Life Q30s tomorrow and I'm excited, honestly though I wish I saw this review before because I didn't even know these existed before buying but tbh I compared prices and features and I got an amazing deal for the Q30s so I'm not disappointed. I read that it's mostly the build quality and aesthetics that truly make the Q45s stand out and I'm really careful with my electronics so I'm not worried. I guess if the Q30s start to break or fail I know where to upgrade. Anyway, great review.
@@DionMedia Just got them and I've been testing them the whole day and let me tell you, if these things keep connecting smoothly and don't break too soon, I'll be so happy. For my use case they're just perfect. They sound great, ANC is great for the price point and honestly they look and feel good, not as cheap some people say. I've read people complain about products breaking on them and I've had the same products for years, I just take good care of my stuff so with these headphones it won't be different so I'm hoping to squeeze so much fun out of them and maybe by the time they can't play anymore, Soundcore will have something even better than the Q45s I don't know. For now I'll just enjoy. Peace.
I’ve had the Q30s for like 3 years and they finally broke but only because I got so confident in the build quality that I started tossing them places for convenience. Absolutely 120% worth the price.
Great video but I would disagree with the bass being amazing, it's lacking in my opinion. I've just bought them but may return them compared to the q35
a very informative review. One question though. Are these could for sport like running or workouts? I´m considering buying these but I´m not sure if they are good for lifting and doing pull ups for example. Also I really liked that you included how it feels to wear these headphones with glasses on, since many reviewers often miss that point.
Hi, thanks for your feedback, glad to point concerning the glasses was useful. Concerning your question: they are ok for a workout, but as with all headphones of that size, they get a bit damp during workout, so I prefer earbuds.
Thanks for the in-depth info on comfort. Many reviewers gloss over this. I argue that comfort is more important than audio, as youre not gonna enjoy that audio if youre uncomfortable.
The space q45 headphones are sturdy enough. I don’t worry about them breaking. I recommend them as a nice pair of headphones that sound very nice, but won’t break the bank. Get a pair, you won’t be sorry. As far as being sturdy, the headphones are better made then some headqfones I have. I also recommend that you get a case for the headphones as well.
I have a set coming of Q45s coming Sunday. We will see if they dethrone my XM5s. Everything I have heard so far, I much prefer the tuning and the Soundcore app. Both are way better than the XM5s. More on Sunday. Great review thank you.
I’ve been jamming on the Q45s for over 8 hours Man I love these, unfortunately for me I like them much better than my XM5s from a sound quality and fit/comfort standpoint. I am going to sell my XM5s to cut my losses. No kidding.
@@suzukaziodyne9723 I personally like the XM4s better. These fit too tight on my head and xm4s have slightly better noise cancellation, imho. I also got cabin pressure from NC on the Q45s.
I love your videos … thank you for helping me making a purchasing decision. Love the aesthetic of the video, continue keeping reviews real and honest. All the best for the channel 🎉
Hi! Many thanks for this very informative review. I'm considering this set but I'm wondering if it's good for the music I love - metal, especially black and classical. What do yo think guys?
Bought them based on several reviews. Excellent price quality. But what i missed in all reviews is that they do not auto turn of when taking them off your head, putting them on your neck or tabel etc. Wish I knew.
hey, I am currently comparing several headphones and I found your reviews are really helpful. If you dont mind, in your opinion, which one is better life Q35 or space Q45? thank you.
im definitely thinking of getting these but one question where the hell is that glass building that you were standing in front of?? cause that thing was a BEAUTY!!!
Just bought these, and unfortunately I'm returning them. Everything was great, but these are meant for Medium size heads and bigger. I wear a s/m fitted hat, which fits perfect. The headphones are just are a little to big for my head.
@@Spoopwoopy I bought these about 3 weeks ago. I returned them because of the loose fit. When I tilt my head down, I can feel the head phones slowly want to slide off. I like more of a firm fit. If you plan on just sitting or not a hole lot of head movement, i'm sure they would be fine. For a Smaller sized head like mine, there just run a little big. With a hat on, there fine for me. FYI, my head size is 22 1/4 In.
@John Holms im thinking about the q35s instead, would they be a better fit? The only headphones I have (no longer use) are the Mpow H7, just a simple Bluetooth headphone. Frankly this will be my first set of anc headphones, yes i do have the p3s but people say headphones are better for anc.
@@Spoopwoopy The q45 was my first experience with headphones in a while. I couldn't tell you if the q35 would fit any better. I think if your head is close to 23" or larger, both headphones would probably fit fine.
Don't seem like an appreciable upgrade over the Q35s, no touch control, and no wear detection.. and when checking the link they seem to be only available in black, least for now. I'll stick with my Q35s. Btw, has anyone ever told you you're a dead ringer for Rabbi Glickman?... You'd nail an impression!
Hi, thanks for sharing your experience. I have not used the Q35 so grateful to hear your opinion. As far as Rabbi Glickman is concerned....somehow I seem to resemble many people, but this Rabbi is new to me :) Have a nice weekend!
@@adorkable81 the Q45s are purportedly an upgrade and slightly higher priced than the predecessor (Q35's) ... So I suppose I was expecting them to be superior??
@@a.b1266 true. I would give up those extra features for maybe better audio. To add those neat features that you requested which I love, might prop up the price higher. Would you buy it for $199 with those added features?
I got me a pair of Q45 on sale for $100. I was pleasantly surprised with the HEAR ID test result which turn out to be exactly the type of curve i thought i like. Flat with boosted bass.
Ayo bro quick question singe your comment is relativly new: How does noice cancelling work for you? I just got mine yesterday and the ANC does almost nothing even on its max.
@@c.p1207 Great at cancelling low frequency. Mid/high frequency not so much. Which is expected because you are not going to get xm5 or qc45 ANC performance at this lower price point. One thing I do like is that there is no audible white noise making it more pleasant to use compared to galaxy buds pro.
Bose QC45 or these Soundcore 45? I have the Bose QC45 but the sound is not the greatest even with the EQ app. I'm thinking about trying these Soundcore 45 but worried about comfort and sound.
Thank you for your video ! Big quality ! Do you think I can use them when I go to the gym ? Does it stay strongly on the head ? (Sorry for my level in english)
@@chi_chi_1 it’s not that significant of an upgrade over the q30. Slightly better sound and anc, multipoint, ldac, Bluetooth 5.2. If you r confident to notice the improvement in sound quality and needs better anc and multipoint for your usage, only then I would say it’s worth it
How do you rank these against the headphones that run $250-$400? You mentioned they were good at that price point. Just wondering what this is compared against?
Wait!! But until know I have only heard negatives about BASS of Q45 but you seem to be praising it. Mam this is so confusing, the only reason thats stopping me to ordering Q45 is the negative reviews about the bass. Can you throw some light or any Q45 owners please share your thoughts. Thank you
Hi Teerth, for its price category the bass is quite strong, but for some it might be a bit overpowering, which might be the basis for some of the negative comments you refer to. However you can change this in the app, as mentioned in the video
Does the EQ settings save within the headset? or just through the app? So if I set the EQ on the phone, does the EQ setting remain when I switch over to another device? or is the EQ return to defaults?
I wish they would state their experience with the field they are reviewing. There are too many influencers and not many unbiased reviews. While his presentation was tedious he is a competent reviewer. I have the headphones and I use them to find out if a review is competent.
hello! These look so good but i was wondering if you think they would be good for the gym. Do these heat up your ears fast or are they breathable enough? If not do you have any other suggestions for headphones in the same price range for the gym? thank you!
I know this comment is old, and you may have bought them or something different, but just in case you were still wondering... Memory foam is ABSOLUTELY NOT recommended for working out, it's going to heat up on your ears, even though they would hold up perfectly for running and any kind of exercise, they heat up too much, making your ears sweat a lot.
A really detailed review damn!!! How is the comfort of this headphone in summer? In my country it gets to 35-40 so I’m afraid it will be really uncomfortable in summer, will it? And does the ANC or comfort decrease because of the glasses?
Do soy recommend them for working out? Doing pull ups , push ups , dips etc,? Because u said they are smaller than other headphones and don’t tend to fall?
Dion, I don't even see these on Amazon here in the States. Not available here yet I guess. Tons of reviews in magazines and on RU-vid though. They look fantastic and with that Apple 'Midnight'-like color, I might have to indulge.
Hi Steven, there was the worldwide launch today. So I assume it will be soon on Amazon. Should be. If you are in a hurry you can use the link in my video (I do not get commission or so, just informing you)
Hello, I need headphones for traveling because I’m a student, so anc is very necessary. I also care about the sound quality though I dont have extremely high standards, I just dont want it to sound rattly and cheap. I like my music loud, so no sound leaking would be great. Would these be good for me? Thanks
QUESTION: I will only use the headphones for my computer (and never my phone), and will mostly use them to watch movies. Do I HAVE to use the phone to access all the settings for the headphones, or could I use my computer to access them as well?
Hey Dion, Great breakdown of the of the Soundcore Q45! I just bought my Soundcore headphones yesterday & they have a great sound, very comfortable to wear. I like the noise canceling & 50hrs of listening time. You’re spot on about these headphones!👍
@@urmoonlitup lil bit late, but I have test (not profesionaly) a lot lot of headphones from 50 to 300€ and only 3 so far had made it to my top 3 in comfort: Corsair hs70 (gaming) Sennheiser 6xx and 58X Soundcore Q45. They all are comfortable on the ear (very nice ear pads) and top of the head.
Hi Dion! An important question I have, how is the multi-point connection going? I have the Apple ecosystem and I have tried the AirPods Max, but the price seems ridiculous to me for the use that I am going to give it, since I usually use headband headphones a couple of times a week for videoconferences, some video of RU-vid to take advantage of noise cancellation and little else. Could I have these headphones paired to the MacBook and iPad for example, which is what I'd use it with the most, and when turned on they would automatically connect to one of the two paired devices? Or every time you want to connect with one of them would you have to make the connection by entering Bluetooth options? Thank you and sorry for the billet!
Hi Guillermo, only the AirPods will provide this seamless connection with other Apple devices. Multipoint connection works a bit different. It works with two devices, but you still have to switch manually between them
@@DionMedia Hello Dion. Ok I understand. So for example I can link them to the iPad and the Macbook, and then manually, from the Bluetooth options connect the device I need, right? And on the other hand, are they comfortable? When I have tried the Airpods Max, I have covered my whole ear and have been very comfortable. Have these the design of the pad to cover them whole and do not hurt? To me it is not worth Apple's, since the diadema headphones with noise cancellation would only use them two days a week for videoconferences and meetings of 1.5 hours, and the truth is that they attract my attention these attention Soundcore, but of course, I need them to be comfortable. Thank you for all the info!
With an iPhone, you can only have AAC. It is impossible for AAC or any other codec to make the bitrate requirement for ALAC (LDAC is the closest and unavailable for Apple.) That being said, I used Apple Music for the first time on Android just to try out my new LDAC earbuds and holy smokes does it work. Wired will never fail to give the ALAC experience though, and these headphones support wired.
So that's how it went: The sound initially felt disappointing, so I used the HearID feature of the headphones and tweaked it a bit so I had a V-shaped equalizer curve. I like it so far. Wired: Works absolutely fine on PC, but low volume when using Type C to 3.5mm converters on my Huawei tablet and Samsung phone. Good stage separation, good quality. LDAC: Oh man. Amazing stage separation, warm sound, you hear almost everything. At this point I can say that I am spoilt. No going back from LDAC 990kbps and Apple Music downloads that take more than 30 megabytes a song. AAC: Sound lost its warmth. I tried using the low sound quality option on Apple Music while using AAC to get the "Realistic iPhone experience", but I know Apple's own devices make better use of AAC. Then again, not much was lost, but the sound definitely lost its airy and warm feel. Switching back to low bitrate LDAC (330kbps) felt better than the AAC on these cans.
It's not twice as good. But you should expect diminishing returns the higher up you go. If you don't have any ANC headphones on hand, the q45 is a fantastic choice
I have the Q30s and they're great. But if I was rich I would get the space Q45s just because of the design, even if they're the same as the Q30s. But otherwise I don't know. The design on the Q45s is amazing though.
I have the Q30s and when I saw these headphones and the claims about them, I was wondering if I should upgrade to these. I had a few questions before I wanted to get this. Do you know if they leak a lot of sounds and if their noise cancellation surpasses that of the Q30?
Well, I literally bought the Q45 two days ago due to my Q30's ear pads basically opening to the point of seeing the sponge from inside (the quality of the Q30's materials is what I think is his real down side) and Let me tell you, it is a noticiable diference. It is better in everything Noise Canceling as for what the statement means; even without literally using the mode, I hear the outside of my headphones far less the with the Q30's. Also the Noise Canceling feature can be set in an adaptable way, this option that was, at the start, concerning to me, ended up being a neat plus bc the way it adapts to the necesity is fast and actually efficient for the needs of not hearing any sounds (it changes the audio settings tho, so you must equalize the thing If it really bothers you). The only thing that really dropped me from the boat at my first days of using the product was the obvious fact that the Q45s equalizer potentials work in a totally different way than the Q30s so If you haved especific settings in the last, you wont be able to make it sound the same in the Q45s (you can use it to gide you through the creation of settings that you like, Its different but the quantity of equalizer knobs is the same as in the Q30's so with a bit of patience, you might be able to equalizer the whole thing as you like, but have in mind that If you are picky with the whole sound quality, you are not gonna be ready to use the sound settings from the get go.
My wife just got me those for my birthday! Not arrived yet but cannot wait to try them. While I do take care of my stuff, they'll see action primarily in the gym doing heavy deadlifts, and in the train / plane when traveling for work.
Hi Lawko, difficult to answer, I would say that the Q45, you will hear sound in. the background when you do not play music, especially the higher sounds. This is true for all noise cancellations, not only of the Q45
@@DionMedia I absolutely love it in the house or library, however lets say when am in Starbucks and trying to focus as u said i can still hear the music they are playing but if i put on a white noise or music it does cancel everything out. am happy using it thanks for your reply.
Hi do you know if at that price, if there are headphones that have better audio quality? and also which headphones has the best audio quality between the q45 and the q35? (I listen to rap/edm/hip hop/drill) thank you hope to get an answer
Hi, I have a question. Is the audio quality still good when you use wired even though the battery isn’t being used(headphone turned off)? Cause some Sony headphones sound really bad when you aren’t using the battery/Bluetooth.
Hi, good question, you are not the first one to bring this up. Unfortunately I have not tested this so can not give you a well founded reaction. Hope to do it in the future
I have these. When they are wired + turned on I feel like its using the EQ as the sound changes drastically. I do not like the audio quality when not turned on. The bright side is that you can plug them in while on ... or not ... both work just fine without an actual BT connection
Hi ! I really want to get them but I really need to know if they sound leak a lot. I want them for school but my classes are usually really quiet and it don’t want other to hear what I listen
How are availability of replaceable earpads for the headphones? Are they hard to come by or are they even replaceable? By the way I have the life Q20's and I am satisfied with them but I find it extremely difficult to get replacement for the earpad and mine are nearly worn out even though the headphones are fine!
Hi Edward, that is a good question. It is rare for headphones of this price range to have first party replaceable ear pads, but hopefully a third party might bring them to the market. To my knowledge this has not happened yet
Hi, I have xiaomi note 8 pro android mobile phone which support bluetooth version 5.0. This Headphone Soundcore Space q45 support bluetooth version 5.3. Please tell me it will be compatible with my xiaomi note 8 pro android mobile phone without any issue???
@@DionMedia and what about the sound quality of this pair because I'm neutral sound listner like background music, soft instrumentals, jazz and piano and i don't like bass heavy songs
just got these, everything is better except for the top headband feels very tight... if you have a small head sure but for big headed people, please stay away lol
Got a pair myself.....great value for money........fuck the overly expensive apple/Sony/ sennheiser headphones.......these blow them away for money......
Hi Simon, great question and my apologies for the late reply. I have not been able to compare these two with the Q45, but based on the info of the producer I can say the following. The Q45 has 40 mm double layered drivers for improved sound. They also have far superior ANC (confirmed in other reviews) and also support high quality LDAC listening. In addition to this they got 2 mic, longer battery life and connect via BT 5.3 for minimal latency.
About the multi point connection, does it require you to switch to the device first in order to listen to it or does it automatically switch to whichever is playing audio?
Im sorry, ive just bought these headphones. They are massivly to big. If you dip your head they fall straight off. So im sorry that was extrmely wrong in your review. Theres nothing you can do. Even sat still you feel them drooping down. Loved soundcore but how theyve made such a gigantic error on the size i dont know. My q30s were fine, but these are massive
I bought this. One con that nobody told, it's somewhat over weighed! Gives some heavy feel over head; I don't feel the comfort level that every reviewers told!
I'd buy these if they solve an issue I have with the q20. Whenever I start using the mic on the q20, if I'm listening to music or gaming (like with discord/twitch) then suddenly the audio output gets all tin-y and crap. It's like the mic input hogs the Bluetooth bandwidth, at the expense of audio output. Anyone experience this or know if the q45 solves this?
That’s because your headphones switch to what’s called a “hands-free profile” (HFP) which is a protocol for using mic and speaker for a call over Bluetooth. If it’s any consolation, even my Bose QC35 ii switch to the hands-free profile/protocol on calls (or when the mic is in use) over Bluetooth, resulting in a crappy sound. :( Since this is a limitation of Bluetooth (and how headsets connect to devices over Bluetooth), it’s unlikely that the Q45 would’ve solved this.
Hi James, Umang gave the correct reaction. I also mentioned this point in my video, so no, it is unlikely that the Q45 is better than the Q20 (which I never tested )
