My son who used to work on the pit crew for a NASCAR driver he swears by liquid IV that’s what they use in the dead hot summer when he’d have to wear the fire suit at 100° outside he would be sipping on that liquid IV. It definitely works.

Things have changed so much since I was a kid. Being 75 I have seen a lot of winters living in upstate NY. I still remember going out in the morning and having to jump off the front porch as the snow covered the 3 stairs on the bottom. Loved it as we made a lot of money, fo kids way of thinking, shoveling snow in the neighborhood. Also when they would have to come by the house and load snow up in dump trucks so the road would be wide enough for two way traffic on the street. Now retired in the Philippines so all the snow I see is in our refrigerator freezer.

I'm thanking you for your reports last week. I was in Gallatin, TN held up in my bathroom during the tornadoes. They went around where I was, and I was safe. I went without power for a few hours and got all of my weather information here. Your coverage was on spot. People are still cleaning up the mess, but you gave a lot of folks the needed information to stay safer.

I'm in Hendersonville seems like it jumped my house I only lose a few hundred bucks worth of roofing but my neighbors house has much more damage. I also was hiding in bathroom with my son in the 🛀 it was so scary

I remember traveling to Philly growing up as my father was from there. We've gotten stranded and had to fly to JFK on an occasion because of snow. I remember my grandfather shoveling the stoop. I can imagine missing it just a little bit.

In my 60 years I’ve only seen snow on Christmas Day in Georgia once. We had flurries at Christmas back in the early 1990’s. My friends who had moved here from Michigan could not figure out why their neighbors were outside hoopin and hollering on Christmas morning. They just shook their heads when I clued them in. 🤣🤣🤣

This is why I liked living in Vegas during Christmas time. A 45 minute drive and you are in Mount Charleston and can see snow 6 months out of year, including almost all of December. Visiting snow is easier than living in it.

My family has had a very difficult 18 months. First I lost my brother, then our business, then we were homeless, then my mother-in-law passed as well. So Christmas was hard last year and it's hard again this year. I would rather skip it tbh, but that isn't fair to my kids. So I try and struggle through.

It looks like it's going to be close to 50s and sunny over Christmas here in south central Ohio. I do love snow but I'll be very happy for a mild and pleasant Christmas this year and hope it will follow a similar pattern all through until Spring and Summer! It's been a crazy winter so far I must say. I guess it's down to the El Nino phenomenon. Cheers.

Man, last year was absolutely nuts. Here in Eastern KY, a few days before Christmas, we had like half a foot snow and -30 or so wind chill (around -5 actual temp), and then around New Year's or so, it reached damn near 80. Never seen anything like that. Weather here is as bipolar as it gets, but even that was batshit crazy. lol

Maybe where you are but most of these guys are wildly off because what they do, their shtick so to speak, is to put up videos for storms that are theoretical in the models 2 weeks out. You wont see local guys doing that. They dont try to predict weather that far out because they know they will be wrong and lose trust. But on RU-vid its all about clicks and subscribers.

Strange things have happened over the years. The small city of Freer, Texas which is halfway between Corpus Christi and Loredo, had 6 inches of snow on the ground, Christmas morning 2004, but Jackson, Mississippi, 750 miles to the northeast, has never had one in recorded history. One secret, Freer is blocked by hills in 3 directions that reach over 700 feet above sea level.

I'm from Ganado Texas and we got around foot of snow during that snowstorm. I believe it was Christmas Eve into Christmas morning. Usually Ganado will only snow about every 5 years or so and its usually like 1/2" or 1". It was insane, I'll remember that for the rest of my life.

As far as colorado goes the state has recorded snowfall every month of the year in every part of the state not just the mountains. It can snow in may here I've seen it generally memorial day is when it warms up more consistently anyway and the snow stops in summer March in colorado is generally the snowiest month and weirdest month for weather.

I remember Christmas morning last year very well. We were in Murray, KY. in the western side of the state and when we left our hotel at 9 in the morning it was -7° F with a wind chill of -19°F. Yes there was a dusting of snow although not sure if it was an inch. The wind was howling all day and much of the next. Yikes that was too cold indeed 🥶.

I've been learning the cycles of the calendar as described in Scripture, and things are lining up with us being about a month behind what we would usually expect for this time of year since last cycle had a 13th month and the year didn't truly start until the beginning of May. We are really only in what is the 8th month until the next full moon, then the 9th month, so right in the middle of Autumn. Shalom and thanks for all that goes into your updates!

While a snow covered Christmas may be festive eye candy for those who have a warm home and clothes and plenty of food, it is misery and even death to homeless beings, both humans and animals. If you have any animals, please think of them when it is cold and snowy. Make sure their water is mot frozen and that they have plenty to eat. They depend on the calories to give their bodies some warmth. Provide shelter from the wet and the wind. Then celebrate heartily!

I live in South Eastern Michigan, and as a kid, we had snow at Christmas every year, except for one. I can only remember one year that we had a Brown Christmas instead of a White one. I can remember one Halloween we went trick-or-treating in snow. (had some light flurries on Oct. 31, 2023) I loved the snow when I was a kid, and we always found a way to have fun in it. (I lived on a lake too, so that helped a lot) I have been an adult for over 60 years now, and I will be perfectly happy if I never see snow again. In the 2013 - 2014 winter season we had an average of 96 inches of snow in the southern half of lower Michigan. The Upper Peninsula of MI, they had an average of 115 inches that season. Those averages were enough to last a lifetime, as far as I'm concerned! We did have a blizzard once in 2008, and drivers were off the roads everywhere. Those people were walking faster than traffic was moving in that one. It took me 5 hours to get home (we were told to go home at 2:00 pm for that one) in what would have normally been a 30 to 40 minute drive on dry pavement. I Thank God I don't have to drive to and from work in that stuff anymore! The light flurries we had on Halloween this year was more than enough.

My daughter introduced me to your channel. I love it. I live in Southwest Louisiana. I only remember having a white Christmas one time. It was magical. I remember many Christmas mornings dressing in shorts, tee shirts and, flip flops. I am over 72. Loved every one snow or no snow. ❤

Hi Ryan! Thank you for the content. Living in Columbus, Ohio, I knew the chances of a white Christmas were already low. So, no disappointment there. There's just something about where Columbus sits where snow and stormy weather either goes north or south of us. Instead of severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, heavy snow, etc...that cities like Chicago and Memphis face, we get lots of clouds and are one of the gloomiest cities in the U.S., as a result. It's just one of those flukes related to the jet stream.

Now that I got away from Wisconsin 22 years ago I am very happy here in North Carolina seeing snow on the mountain tops and any snow I get melts in hours or a day or 2. No More Shoveling. Leaf blower maybe. 🥳 Happy New Year !!

Hi Ryan, I know you cover the mainland US with emphasis on the southern states but I live about 50 miles from Detroit in Canada's banana belt. The weather here is greatly influenced by being surrounded on three sides by lakes Huron, St Clair and Erie so it changes faster than you,----- you know what. Is it possible, or even legal, for you to include, on your forecast maps, the bit of Ontario that sits between lake's Huron and Erie so we don't have to guesstimate more than you do, as to what our weather might be. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for 2024.

I like the differences in what's required for it to be classed as a white Christmas in different countries... In the UK the definition that the Met Office uses to define a white Christmas is for one snowflake to be observed falling in the 24 hours of 25 December somewhere in the UK... Slightly lower bar

From what I understand, my area actually won't have a white christmas for the first time in a very long time. Granted if storms are gonna come in regardless, guess it's a good thing I bought a weather radio in case any of 'em become severe edit: Plus, even if we don't get a white christmas, I'm fairly confident that just like the years before, january and february are gonna hit hard in terms of snow, although only time will tell

Yeah! I am in Michigan. You can have a beautiful Christmas without snow. It makes like easier. Last year was horrible with temps so cold we were covering our windows with extra blankets. If you like snow and cold, go visit it!

I wish I was like you. Winters always made me happy. Global warming and 60'F Christmases here in the Midwest depress me.... and the hordes of fools that pretend it isn't happening make me think I should get a lobotomy and join them lol. This is not my world anymore :/

My ideal winter is below freezing with snow on the ground from December to march. Unfortunately in southeast Michigan we haven’t had a winter like that in about 5 years.

@@mabbook I'm in Central Illinois and I don't call a day an actual 'winter' day unless the temperature stays below 32'F all day. We are getting down to about 3 or 4 winter days a year now. When it stops freezing overnight, things are really going to change and it will become really hard for the denials to continue. Or will it? The capacity of humans to ignore what they don't want to see seems almost limitless!
