Canadian here, the Royal Family is having health issues and are being attacked by the horrible Harry and Meghan, but the Royal Family are loved by the UK and the Commonwealth. Plus with the advance of science, we are hopefully the King and the Princess of Wales will recover.

Prince Andrew hasn’t been convicted of anything , he made some very foolish choices in business ,in friendships ,in recreations and left himself wide open to criticism and as it turned out something akin to blackmail . He has done much more damage to himself than to the royal family ,who weren’t responsible for his actions as a middle aged man . He doesn’t criticise the royal family,ever , the late Queen punished him severely , and he has got on with his life quietly ,not making waves , so there is little reason for anyone to complain when he attends events ,and services and is still accepted as a member of the family , which he is . If the nay-sayers have nothing better to do with their time they might find someone or something more deserving of their ,(not so righteous) indignation . William is mature Harry hasn't matured. Life is not about unfairness and sausages its about getting on with whats at hand and not sniping publicly, one brother is doing it one brother is not.

As an American, I find the hysteria created by the British media to be unnecessary. The monarchy survived the German Luftwaffe and Hitler which was the darkest period for Britain. The current situation is a minor bump in the road. Both King Charles and Princess Catherine are receiving the best medical treatment in the world. Hope they recover quickly.

The English Monarchy is not doomed. Without the English Monarchy the United Kingdom itself would not exist and the island containing England, Scotland and Wales, in particular, would just become an overcrowded small island part of Europe. Re’ H and wife, as long as people are making money from their internet programmes, podcasts, commentaries, discussions, books etc about this couple in particular, they will always be useful fodder for gaining money to nicely fill the wage packets of many. .

Comments about Prince Andrew are totally out of line, imo. I think there is far too much pandering to “optics” ! People are not stupid, anyone who has ever seen the royals (and I am no royal watcher) will have spotted that the monarch always arrives last ! And as attendance at church services is a matter of PRIVATE DEVOTION and not public spectacle, to suggest that Andrew should not attend the Easter service is crass, outrageous and egregious in my opinion. The late Queen herself CHOSE Andrew to squire her to the self same service. Anyone with an iota of discernment should give that pause. He may be foolish, he may be an arrogant brat, but, that said, he is loyal to his family and to his country. He served in the Navy for 22 years and under fire during the Falklands war. He has never been charged with any offence and has persistently and stoutly denied the allegations made against him. I believe that the only thing he is guilty of is an appalling lack of common sense when choosing friends, not distancing himself from them when the proverbial hit the fan … as a huge number of US politicians and other movers and shakers did and also falling on his sword and settling that CIVIL lawsuit with the Giuffre creature, which he clearly did not want to do, when it became clear that any court case would coincide with his Mum’s Jubilee celebrations… I think he didn’t want it derailed and for the case to cause his mother any further grief and angst at that juncture. Both she and Prince Philip were visibly ailing, the Harkle’s were inflicting an immense amount of suffering and he clearly didn’t want to add any more strife and public speculation to the misery they were already enduring. I wholeheartedly agree that the interview was a disaster… to my mind it was a trap set to snare a very stupid man, and I cannot imagine what his advisors were thinking. Innocent until proven guilty no doubt … but how stupid. Trial by media is very much a given … as we see on a daily basis … and in Andrew’s case the way the media insist on continuing to wring further gobbets of ignominy from a very dead horse, not content with the pound of flesh extracted all those years ago, is disgraceful and disgusting. Hello from London. A family member is a black cabbie and he said the press and photographers were outside the cancer wing of the London clinic days before Catherine released her diagnosis statement. He said to me at the time that he wouldn’t be surprised if she has cancer. Little did we know that a few days later she would release her statement. I think the British press were aware before it was made public. If you remember Piers Morgan intimated that he had heard very upsetting rumours too. I STAND WITH CATHERINE. GOD SAVE THE KING ❤
