One of the times we were visiting Bucksport we got to see the tidal bore. A retired Coast Guard Captain friend of mine explained that tidal bore is kinda rare. Apparently it happens with some frequency in Bucksport.
I had to look up tidal bore. A tidal bore is a tidal phenomenon in which the leading edge of the incoming tide forms a wave (or waves) of water that travels up a river or narrow bay, reversing the direction of the river or bay's current. A tidal bore is a true tidal wave and a surge, which is a sudden change in depth. A tidal bore occurs along a coast where a river empties into an ocean or sea and where there is a large tidal range and the incoming tide is confined to a narrow channel.
u should of finished it off with the witches boot =) instead of DD. Did they move that DD? Used to be next to a subway and a Dollar General i think a little further out of town than that?
